Rebecca James3 said:blured, did you run into any walls while job hunting because of your diagnosis? How do employers actually react? Do you just come out and say it? My mom went on disability at 35, and honestly, I never even thought to ask if she dealt with any pushback...

Look, an employer doesn't have any legal right to grill you about mental health issues—unless you're applying for those super niche roles where it's actually a legal requirement for the job.

It’s fine, everything is holding steady for the moment 😬. But you know, I don't want to get too deep into the weeds here. It might be time to put a little yellow light on my tendency to be borderline manic with how open and blunt I am on this forum. I have to wonder just how much longer I can sustain that level of unfiltered honesty before I hit a wall. ☕

That’s what I’ve been telling you this whole time!

Finally figured out how to act properly, huh? ☕

That isn't some kind of remission—it's just basic logic.

Look, being brutally honest is great if you're living in some perfect utopia, but let's face it—this world is anything but. ☕

This is starting to feel more like a group chat than a discussion. ☕

I honestly don't have the stomach for reading about everyone else's endless litany of grievances—and frankly, my own little troublemakers—you lot weren't always this much of a handful, I miss the old days🙂

http://www.ctmirror.org/health/2013/...discrimination

The data suggests that immigrants face less stigma than almost any other demographic mentioned—ranking just above those living with mental health challenges. It’s a curious hierarchy when you consider that groups such as Black Americans, Hispanic communities, women, individuals with physical disabilities, or those living with HIV/AIDS all seem to carry a heavier social burden in the eyes of the respondents.

Man, so they actually take Americans seriously as a nation now? Give me a break. 😁

Most Americans couldn't even point to their own country on a map if their lives depended on it—and yet, they genuinely believe the US government is out there fighting for democracy all over the world. It’s almost funny, in a dark sort of way.

Look, Americans just conducted their own research. When will we ever see enough funding here in the States to actually pull off an investigation of that scale? 🤔

Are you actually outoftheblue? I’m glad to hear things are looking up for you professionally—where did you end up landing, if you don't mind my asking? How’s the grind treating you? Honestly, my boyfriend has been on Zyprexa and various other medications lately, and... well, things got incredibly dark. He had an episode where he nearly killed me in a fit of madness. 😁😁He’s doing better now, I suppose, though there is a certain sadness to it—he struggles so much to reconcile with reality. And if I’m being completely honest, I occasionally find myself missing that imaginary world he lived in; I spent so long believing in his delusions right alongside him. It's a strange thing, really. I’m also on some medication myself.

Yeah, I work at an accounting firm. It’s fine, I guess—there isn't exactly much breathing room for deep thought or existential crises. It’s mostly just a relentless stream of paperwork and endless rows of numbers. Honestly, it’s exactly the kind of grind I’ve always been used to doing.

Are you serious? He almost took you out? That’s absolutely terrifying.
You’re probably still young enough to handle that kind of chaos without it breaking you. Personally, I'm well past that stage—I don't think I could stomach it.
I have my final hearing this Wednesday, and by the time I walk out of that courtroom, I fully expect to be a very happy, newly single woman.

I’ve reached a point where I don't find myself longing for some manufactured, fictional world anymore—and I know, I explicitly said the opposite in my very first post.
If I didn't have this stubborn refusal to accept reality, I suppose I could just close my eyes and pretend none of this is happening.
I’ve finally made my peace with reality; if anything, stepping back into the real world feels like a massive weight being lifted off my shoulders.
Thank God those damn hallucinations are finally behind me.

Hi everyone! I’m new here... and honestly, I have a massive problem weighing on me. It’s so overwhelming that I’m terrified it might be something I can't fix. I’m still figuring my way around the forum, so please forgive me if this isn't quite the right place for a question like this... anyway, the main issue is that I am dealing with an intense, paralyzing fear. The thing is, I can't even pinpoint exactly what it is. I absolutely cannot be alone for even a single minute without feeling like I'm losing my mind. But it isn't a fear of burglars or people in general—it's something else entirely, though I can't put a finger on what it is either...

You don't have schizophrenia

Look, you aren't schizophrenic👍
You should probably check out the "anxiety" or "panic disorder" threads instead—they seem more like your speed.

I am truly glad to hear you're working🙂

Regarding my boyfriend—it was a nightmare, really. I don't even want to think about it. He ended up in jail. Things are better now, but he seems so hollowed out; the whole ordeal just broke him. Regardless, I am genuinely happy to see you navigating the real world so successfully.

Wait, you're getting a divorce? I'm so sorry. But you seem so much more grounded now, and I'm relieved you aren't dealing with those hallucinations—you saw firsthand how much they destroyed my boyfriend. Just take care of yourself and keep moving forward.👍
