Anyway... aren't those pills actually great because they let you schedule everything? Most people start them on a Sunday so their period lasts over a week, leaving the weekend wide open for... whatever else you have planned. ๐Ÿ˜•

Since we're making lists... let's not forget the one who thought condoms were just for preventing pregnancy and not STDs... ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

Haha, I see everyone on this forum has suddenly become an expert overnight.

Yeah, there's still one thing I don't get; LaTiTe, is it really that much effort to change a pad? Itโ€™s honestly not a big deal. I used to have those moments where my period would start unexpectedly when I was out, but I always kept a spare pad in my purse. At the end of the day, I can't even imagine wearing the same damn pad all night without changing itโ€”especially if you're out dancing or sweating a little... it's just basic hygiene.๐Ÿ™

Um...

No, it isn't that changing a pad is difficult, of course. Itโ€™s just that when Iโ€™m getting ready to head out into the city (around 7 PM), I don't actually have my period yet. So, everything down there is perfectly clean! But by the time I get back home (around 4 or 5 AM), there are a few drops on the pad. One time I tried using one of those thin daily liners and it almost leaked everywhereโ€”it was cutting it way too close.

Honestly, I have this terrible fear of leaking. It's awful; I feel like I'm somehow broken. I find myself constantly worrying about how I sit, how I move, how I do this or that... because I'm always terrified that things will bunch up, shift, or whatever (and believe me, it happens).

And regular panties just drive me crazy! No matter which ones I wear, I still feel more of a rhythm, plus you can see the edges of the underwear through my clothes (I haven't found any discreet options yet).

Well, why don't you just pop a liner in before you leave the house, and then maybe switch to a regular pad or a tampon around midnight (or whenever your flow actually starts picking up)? ๐Ÿ˜•

Basically, I started this thread just to see if there was any way I could wear thongs over the weekend instead of regular panties. Honestly, who wouldโ€™ve thought it would bother me this much... but it really does!

If I end up wearing regular underwear anyway, then it doesn't matter. I could even just use actual diapers, not just the thin liners...
The daily liners for thongs don't seem reliable to me because they always bunch up or shift around... they just lose their stickiness... and it's awful! ๐Ÿ˜
A tampon seemed like such an ideal solution.... ๐Ÿ˜ข

I don't really get itโ€”why haven't you tried switching up the order you take your pills? Maybe adding a little break in between would help? You should probably check with your doctor before messing with anything, though; don't just wing it on your own. It seems like an easy fix so that your "scheduled time" doesn't keep landing on Saturday nights when it's clearly not convenient for you.

Yeah, darkbison81 actually hit the nail on the head there. Just shift things around so your cycle doesn't hit right during the weekend and call it a day. Like, maybe take the first pill of your next cycle a day earlier than usual, then your period should come a day early too... so it's done before the weekend starts. Easy.

Reading through those first few posts, I honestly couldn't believe that nobody had stumbled upon such an ingenious solution as just shifting the pill days around ๐Ÿ˜ฒ
I mean, the instructions right on the pill pack say the exact same thingโ€”and besides, I find it hard to believe your OB-GYN didn't mention it either... ๐Ÿ˜•
Itโ€™s just wild to me how much energy people spend stressing over this... seriously ๐Ÿ™
Analyzing the timing of a weekend versus when your period starts is quite the deep diveโ€”though, on the other hand, that whole outburst about "maybe I won't even give it back" gave me such a good laugh, thanks for that...
At the end of the day, the main thing is that you've got your thongs ready for Saturday, you're on the pill, and you know your anatomyโ€”who else needs anything more than that? ๐Ÿ˜

I think your best bet is to ditch the pills and just go with ๐Ÿ™‚
.
You won't have to deal with bloating or those weekend period hassles for at least nine months.

Plus, that belly bloat will finally balance out visually with your backside.

And there she goes. If you haven't taken her seriously by now, after a sentence like that, you're clearly not paying attention. ๐Ÿ˜

I've been thinking about moving things around, but honestly, this schedule works fine for me next weekend. I think my period starts on Sundayโ€”early morning, but whateverโ€”and then the last day is Thursday, so Friday and Saturday should be totally clear! ๐Ÿ˜

I know, I'm overcomplicating things where I don't need to... but that's just how I am! ๐Ÿ™‚

Man, if your period lasted from Monday through Friday, you'd basically have every single weekend wide open. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I'm totally on board with that. I really believe that's the best way for her to fix this once and for all. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ™‚

From what I understand, you shouldn't use a tampon until you actually have your period, mainly because there's a risk of damaging the hymenโ€”at least for those who still have it intact๐Ÿ‘

Doesn't the instructions manual say you shouldn't?
I'll go tear it apart and see for myself.

It doesn't say anything๐Ÿ™. But I'm absolutely certain I read somewhere that they shouldn't be used outside of menstruation.

For example, when you're expecting your period (it's late, but you have to wear something where a pad wouldn't be visibleโ€”like a single-day one). Plus, there are all those natural herbal remedies people use internallyโ€”for things like yeast infections, chlamydia, Candida, or minor inflammationโ€”that basically involve using tampons for placement or dripping stuff in via a tampon...

Tampons aren't strictly or exclusively for menstruation.

Iโ€™m guessing that over the last four years, ๐Ÿ˜
latica either finally figured out a way to deal with her tampon situation or just decided they weren't for her anymore.
