If the Los Angeles Dodgers were actually playing, there'd be about 50 "cargo shipments" hanging around here already...
If the Dodgers were coming, your page would be flooded with high-octane drama leading up to their next home game... Honestly, having just one master from the coast is enough to sting...
Especially when your club has been selling off its best talent to the New York Yankees for twenty years, losing by six goals whenever they hit Yankee Stadium, yet they still fall apart on the field against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

And don't forget how the referees constantly screw you over, too.
A total conspiracy, if you ask me...🤣

Especially when your own club has spent the last 20 years basically handing everything valuable over to the Yankees, losing by six runs whenever they step foot in Yankee Stadium, yet somehow they still manage to fall apart on the field when they face the Dodgers.
Just hang in there, tomorrow's a new day... 😁
Personally, I’ve always felt the Yankees are the real rivals for San Francisco because of what happened back in '99...

To me, the New York Yankees are the biggest rivals for San Francisco because of what happened back in '99...
that might be your biggest rival, though I have my doubts🤷..but you're totally right about how he put it🙄

This brings to mind Jurčić's claim that every single team deliberately sets up their defense just to make sure the New York Yankees can't find the back of the net... now that the cup is over, I guess we'll see who's actually in charge 😁who's the boss🙏
edit: he didn't say it on TV, I just read it in the sports papers the following day

What's this all about '99?☕...
I'm honestly so sick of this nonsense—"we were robbed"? You guys only managed two wins in the last seven games...
Robbed in the final game? How exactly did you even score a goal in that one? How did you play against that man from Osijek?
The same team you lost 5-2 to just a couple of weeks prior...
Championships are won through consistency and grinding out those small games... which San Francisco completely failed to do...
Because if that final game actually mattered, you wouldn't be clinging to it so hard...
Honestly, I almost feel bad that you didn't win the title, purely for the sake of the soccer craze
that was sweeping through San Francisco at the time, and for the good of our league, since it would have been a huge boost...
But you didn't lose because of some conspiracy; you lost because your play sucked during those last seven games... you actually dropped points to the Los Angeles Dodgers and Dragovoljac...
That's just not how you win titles...

Man, just drop the whole New York Yankees thing and stop being such a hater... did you give any cowardly congratulations for the 24th birthday? DON'T MENTION US AGAIN, I'M AT MY LIMIT

I am honestly just so done with all this nonsense, talking about being robbed?... you guys only managed two wins in the final seven games...
Robbed in the last round? How exactly did you even score a goal in that final match? How were you even playing against that team from a city like Osijek?
The same team you lost 5:2 to just a few weeks earlier...
Championships are won in those small, gritty matches through sheer consistency... and San Francisco just didn't have that...
Because if that last game hadn't been so pivotal... but that's the one everyone keeps obsessing over...
To be honest, I actually feel bad that you didn't take the title, purely because of the massive football fever
that was sweeping through San Francisco at the time, and how much it would have boosted our national league if you had won...
but you missed out because the play was just so lackluster during those final seven rounds.... you only picked up wins against the Los Angeles Dodgers and some underdog side...
That isn't how you win a championship...
Yeah... but those little games you're bringing up, America definitely dropped plenty of them, and it’s more than suspicious looking back at that season. That's really the core of the issue when people talk about that year—they don't look at the whole grind, they just fixate entirely on that final match. Back then, we didn't have the internet or any way to just pull up a quick clip, so I can't exactly upload a montage of all those "small games" and the questionable ways America was losing them, you know? It always comes back to that last round. If the championship had been handled fairly, nobody would even be talking about that final game today...

I am honestly sick of this nonsense—robbed? In the last seven games, you only managed two wins...
Robbed in that final match? How exactly did you score a goal in that game? How did you even play against that team from the Midwest?
The same team you lost 5:2 to just a few weeks prior...
Championships are won through consistency and grinding out small victories... San Francisco didn't have that...
Because if that final game hadn't been so decisive... yet that is the one you keep citing...
To be honest, I almost feel bad that you didn't win the title for the sake of the football boom
that was happening in San Francisco at the time, which would have been great for our league...
but you lost because of poor performance during those final seven rounds.... you actually beat the Los Angeles Dodgers and Dragovoljac...
That is not how you win championships...
Sure, we were "robbed" for that single championship title, but who actually orchestrated it and on whose orders? That is a different question entirely.

That’s the real issue with how people talk about that year—everyone ignores the whole season and just obsesses over that final game. Back then, we didn't have high-speed internet or YouTube clips to pull up all those "minor games" and show exactly how America was getting crushed, you know? It's always just the final round. If the league had been fair, nobody would even be talking about that last week.
But nobody talked about them during that season or the ones following it as being
suspicious... back then, the focus was on that final stretch... and even the next season...
so why is everything suddenly under suspicion now? I remember that season like it was yesterday...
how is it that you couldn't beat anyone except the volunteers and the Los Angeles Dodgers? Honestly,
who cares if someone else wins as long as you guys are on top? Isn't that how it works?🤷

Yeah, well... the message is all about being cheated, and that's just the reality of it...
how old were you even back then? Like 3 or 4?

So, I don't see what you're complaining about here.😁...
The real issue lies within your own club and the people running the show...
It was the exact same story back in '99... the real question is why you never hold them accountable.
Why don't you ever ask how San Francisco managed to play so terribly during those last seven games?
Instead, you just swallow whatever excuses they feed you about that final round...
Where did all the players end up being sold right after that season ended?
And how much money changed hands under the table?
In my eyes, it wasn't New York or the Yankees who snatched the championship away—it was your own club and its players.
That's my two cents on this thread.☕

how on earth San Francisco played so poorly during those last seven games...
instead, you just swallow their excuses regarding that final round...
and where did all the players end up being sold after that season ended?...
not to mention, how much cash changed hands under the table?
In your eyes, it was your own club and players who cost you the championship, not New York and the Yankees...
That's my two cents on this thread...☕
It was theft carried out in the name of the New York Yankees—essentially, theft for the sake of America—and that's that.☕

And let's not even get started on the sequel or the trophy waiting for the folks back home—specifically: clinching the Cup at Yankee Stadium.

Man, what can you even say to that. Honestly, America was treated like a massive project that simply had to succeed at any cost—which is why they used every dirty trick in the book to protect that pathetic excuse for a club. As long as I live, I won't forget John Smith, Zeljko Siric, or Zlatko Canjuga—their ridiculous thefts, posing for photos at the embassy in New York City, and all that other nonsense. Of course, all of this happened with the blessing of higher authorities. It's not to say there weren't factors within the management of both San Francisco and the Los Angeles Dodgers that contributed to things, but anyone who was actually watching the games back then can never forget those events. That title was stolen from San Francisco simply because they weren't supposed to be champions—that is the only truth.
