Any recommendations?
I’m hanging out in Monterey right now 🙂

Maybe try that local bakery out of Cleveland; their stuff is decent, though the prices are a bit steep 👍 and I've heard nothing but good things about them... good luck!😍

Check it out—you can see the cake I had on this page. They did this multi-tiered thing where every single layer was a different flavor, so guests could basically pick their own adventure—fruit, chocolate, walnut, hazelnut, you name it.
The one I went with is number 3 with the little bows. One detail that doesn't really show up in the photo, but I thought was a pretty slick touch, is that they etched these subtle little concentric circles into the top of each tier—like, very discreetly recessed designs.

wedding cake toppers

Ladies, I am officially begging for your expert advice!
Does anyone know where I can find or order some unique cake toppers? I'm looking for something a little more unconventional—maybe a scene where the bride is making a run for it while the groom is chasing after her? Something playful like that...
Please, I am truly, desperately seeking your help!

Raymond Robinson, check out Hobby Lobby—they have everything. Just look at their site... I think I saw one where the bride is dragging the groom by his tie, or maybe carrying him over her shoulder...

If you feel like heading over to the mall, there’s a huge store near the old downtown area—it’s called Wedding & Cake Bliss or something similar—and they have tons of stuff just like that... 😁

I basically cleared out all the cookies and cake at the Tom and Anne bakery over in Cleveland, and honestly, I don't even regret it much.

We stopped by the local bakery downtown this past Saturday to pick up an assortment of pastries for a little tasting session. Honestly, the quality was top-notch—they look beautiful, the texture is perfect, and they were sliced so cleanly, just everything about them was spot on. We grabbed about a pound's worth so everyone could grab a bite, and let me tell you, every single person loved them. They have that genuine, homemade feel to them. I saw someone else mention here that all the flavors tasted the same, but I completely disagree because there’s actually a huge variety and every single one tastes exactly how it’s supposed to. Anyway, that’s my two cents, we’ll definitely be ordering more from Kašnar's🙂

Hey everyone... my little baking headaches are finally over... check out this cake I made... honestly, the end result looks straight out of a cartoon, which is pretty cool... I even made the toppers myself.

Good luckkkkkk!

We went to those open house events over at Spoon and sampled some of their cookies. Honestly, they have this super weird metallic aftertaste... Jacob White37 is totally spot on about that. So, today we grabbed some treats from "Emma" over by Small Creek and some "style" stuff in Nebraska. My husband thinks the ones from "style" taste better.
Personally, I think both kinds are pretty yummy 😁 but I'll probably just let my man make the final call. Plus, they're only $25/lb there. It's a bummer they don't do wedding cakes, though.
Has anyone else messed around with "style" before??

The sentiment is mutual. Most people who have sampled them share the exact same dissatisfaction, and we certainly weren't the only ones to lodge a complaint with the chef; she insists the profile is due to the lemon and orange zest in the batter, yet that explanation fails to account for such an unsettling flavor 😛

As for the style, I cannot say, though we eventually opted to purchase everything from a local bakery instead 🙂

She tried to tell us it was just the rum and lemon combo... yeah, right! Like we're born yesterday. It’s either their oven acting up or the pans they’re using to bake the sponge cakes...
But seriously, if this many people are complaining about the flavor and staying away from their treats, then for crying out loud—do something about it!
I even tried calling the local bakery down the street, but they said they're closed for Labor Day. Guess they just didn't feel like working...

Benjamin Roberts5 - I don't get it—you mean they aren't working at 1:30 AM???
Well, honestly, they aren't going to be baking cakes and pastries at 1:30 in the morning anyway... they'd just deliver them to the restaurant the evening before, and then you're all set...

I honestly have no clue why either, but I gave them a call just to check, and the lady was super sweet about it—she just told me they’re closed that day.🤷
And it’s not just them, either... I stopped by that little bakery, "Sweet Treats," and they told me the exact same thing.
But hey, it's all good—I'm pretty sure the decision landed on "Emma" over in Small Creek!

I actually ordered a cake and some treats from Emma too! I am seriously counting down the days until the cake arrives because the ones we sampled there were just incredible. Honestly, picking which chocolate one to go with was almost impossible!🙂

I have a quick question for you all!
So, my relatives are planning on making some homemade dry cookies, and I was thinking about packing up a variety of these
homemade treats into little boxes. My idea is to leave them at the venue, but instead of putting them out on the tables, I’d just
hand them out to guests along with their thank-you notes as they head out the door. Does that sound okay? For the actual event, I'll have plenty of cakes, pastries,
creamy desserts, fresh fruit, and fruit salad—and I actually have a licensed catering business to handle all of those items.

Oh, absolutely!!! Honestly, people usually just grab a few pounds of random store-bought cookies wrapped in paper, and they end up getting mixed in with everything else anyway...

So, I finally tracked down the cookies (for Srčeko🙂🙂), and now I’m on the hunt for cookie boxes (to pass them out) and trays (for the tables).
Do any of you know where I can pick up some sturdy trays with clear lids? Also, where’s the best spot to find decent deals on cookie boxes?
