Do any of you know where I can pick up some sturdy trays with clear lids? Also, where’s the best spot to find decent deals on cookie boxes?

Well, why wouldn't you just ask the restaurant to borrow something suitable for serving?

Ladies, I am officially obsessed with Emma!
After we sat down and tried their pastries, 😛 the whole family was in total agreement—we are hooked 🙂!
Ugh, one less thing to worry about, honestly 🙂

They just have standard plates, which honestly feels pretty cheap... You can find plastic trays at "everything and more" stores, but they don't come with lids.
I was at a wedding recently out in the Midwest where they used those specific trays with lids. It’s a game changer; the pastries stay fresh all night long instead of getting stale...

I have no clue where to track some down...

Perhaps you might try looking in a place like Springfield—I haven't personally visited them, but I have heard they carry a wonderful selection of paper goods, and their prices are quite reasonable for everything and more.www.dora-usluge.hr/haha/

Well, considering that the new smoking ban laws are coming into effect soon anyway—they won't be dealing with any smoke issues regardless...😂

I am curious if anyone here has experience working with cupcake cakes? Ideally, I am looking for someone based in California.

I know they’re working on those little pastries over in Chicago... but I haven't actually laid eyes on them yet

I actually found some boxes on a local printing shop's website for about $5$2.00.
The only issue is, I have absolutely no clue how to calculate exactly how many I’m going to need.

I'm planning to hand them out by family—basically one box per set of invitations.

I found some cookie boxes for gifting. They're from a local wholesaler—super cheap... ($0.83 per 👍). They're just plain white, but I’m thinking about adding little bows to them to dress them up... Seems worth it, right?🙂

Now I just need to track down some serving trays...😢

My mom actually has those trays with the lids—and if I remember right, she even bought a bunch of them back in the day for a wedding in Chicago. I’ll ask her tomorrow where she picked them up, but if my memory serves me, you can probably find them at a Target or maybe a Walmart (we're originally from the Midwest)

Please do ask. My folks live out in the Midwest, so it's not like I can just pop over and check myself...🙂>

I think you can find some at a TRIM store—they’ve got everything from books to stationery—or maybe over at Metalia. Honestly, I’m not even sure if Metalia is still around, so I’ll have to dig around online and see what's actually left.

Any skilled pastry chef you encounter would be able to whip those up for you without any trouble at all... just make sure to bring along a photo for inspiration...

William Nguyen8, hey, take a look at this—and listen, if it’s not too much trouble or too far out of the way for your folks out in the Midwest, maybe check it out. Honestly, if I were back home right now, I’d just buy them myself and ship them straight to you.
Looking at the wedding packages over at Trim—honestly, it’s just one more thing to add to the endless checklist of ways people throw money away these days. They’ve got their whole suite of services laid out there, ranging from basic setups to the full-blown, "we want everything" luxury deals. It covers all the usual suspects: catering, decor, venue coordination, you name it. It’s pretty much the standard playbook for any high-end American wedding planner trying to convince a couple that they absolutely *need* a designer floral arrangement just to sit in a room for four hours. If you're looking for a way to turn a single day into a massive financial sinkhole, I guess this is a great roadmap. But if you actually look at the breakdown, it’s mostly just different tiers of how much you're willing to pay to feel like you're having a "special" moment. Some of it is useful, sure—planning is a nightmare—but let's be real: most of these "all-inclusive" promises are just clever ways to bundle costs so you don't realize how much the total is creeping up until the invoice hits your inbox.
I really hope you can somehow pull it off—find a way to make all those pieces fit together somehow.

I have finally made my decision regarding the cake. I will be using orchids instead of gerberas.😍

My mom actually found something...
But now I'm running into another issue. The dimensions are either 20x30 or 20x40. That first option feels way too small, and the second one is just too long and skinny for my round table... god, why am I making this so complicated...

Thanks, I think I'll give Trim a call; maybe they carry round ones too... (it's no big deal to drive out there, it's only about a 50-mile trip)
