..and honestly, I am just so incredibly frustrated right now..
..first off, my in-laws.. we spent from Monday to Thursday painting four rooms and the hallway, but the work keeps getting interrupted constantly because of coffee breaks, visitors, or just whatever else comes up... and then there are those million pieces of advice I never asked for, followed by all that huffing and puffing when I don't take them. Like, seriously, why are you meddling? If I want everything white instead of trimmed where it’s dirty, please don't suggest it a hundred times—just tell me you don't feel like helping, and I'll hire a professional and maybe we'd actually be done by now..

..then there's the constant digging through my stuff while we're moving things from room to room to keep the painting going.. what business is it of yours how many shoes I own, or why I have a box full of old concert tickets and memorabilia, or why I have these black (quote: "funeral shrouds") clothes??? 😠

..and last night, they were interrogating me about why my husband owns three air rifles, why they are even kept in the house, why he hands them to other people, why I don't just forbid him from having them.... look, he's your son, for heaven's sake! Tell him yourselves, don't come at me!!

..and oh, why am I supposedly so "cruel" and "selfish" for making him go to the family reunion with me? What is he even going to do there?! WTF??? If he was man enough to help move things in, he can be man enough to pull them out! ..besides, I already explained to him that his only job is to be there for me; he isn't there to watch people eat pizza or judge anyone's lifestyle... he won't see anything anyway... and he agreed to it himself... but noooo, apparently I'm just being cruel!!! :2up:

..and the absolute peak of it all happened today... my father-in-law tells me: "get the cat out of the house before the baby arrives." I told him the cat is staying.. I mean, are you actually sane? Why bring animal hair and diseases into the house? He started telling these horror stories about how someone lost a baby because of a cat, or a baby choked on fur, or some third kid had their leg amputated because a hair got stuck somewhere... 🤦 ...so I said again: the cat stays, she isn't a killer, she's clean, I brush her constantly, she never goes outside, and she only eats dry food, so there are NO diseases.. "Yeah, sure, 🙂 God forbid anything happens, but if it does, you'll regret it, and you'll never forgive yourself!" ..it's almost like they want something bad to happen just so they can say they were right. Our child, our decision. If things don't work out, we'll find the cat a new home, but until then, stay out of it. My brothers and I were all born around cats and nobody ended up in the hospital, and you guys didn't get this worked up over anything more important than this.... 😳 ...and then, dammit, I really poked the bear there.. "What haven't we worried about then?" ..well, apparently, both the daughter-in-law and the daughter smoked during pregnancy and gorged themselves on sweets and soda, so the little girl has skin issues and the little boy has allergies to everything living...

..and now, there's just silence.. and everyone is giving me the cold shoulder 😁..but let them.. mm, my husband is on my side... and that's the most important thing.. it's just that he's such a pushover that he won't actually say anything to them 🙄

..and the icing on the cake.. my husband.. I was working myself to death last night, trying to finally finish the painting and the cleaning and get everything in order.. and he's just sitting there, acting like I can't do any more... yeah, I told him, "Oh, I guess it'll just finish itself!?" Since my fifth month, I've been saying we need to get this painted, but everyone acts like there's plenty of time, plenty of time... and then he looks at me all confused and offended, "Well, what do you expect? Is it magically finished?" Yes, it's finished, but look at what I look like after three days of this in 95-degree heat!!! ...good grief, the way he went quiet... but wow, he's wonderful today, everything is going smoothly and everything feels possible and everything passes... ugh 🙄

..maybe it's the hormones or whatever, but I've been losing my mind these last few days 😵🙂

😱 For God's sake, did he actually explain to them that this was his own choice? (I really hope it was.) And what kind of twisted logic is that? Where is the actual cruelty in it? It isn't cruel to leave a woman to suffer through labor alone, but apparently, it’s "cruel" to a man if he decides to stand by her side? Give me a break. 😱

Man, driftingcobra7, you’re really out here coming for the cats. The ones smoking cigarettes are basically walking pregnancy posters, yet you—with your well-behaved little house cat—almost look like a murderer. God, I hate how narrow-minded people can be. 😠

I just stared at a magazine for a few minutes and felt my soul leave my body... one of those women's rags designed for people who've completely checked out of reality. Basically, it goes like this:
- Sex... uhm... yeah, I like it, and I have fond memories. Once upon a time, long ago...
- Sunscreen. Not even planning on seeing the sun this year.
- Anti-cellulite cream. For the first time, I actually have some significant amounts to deal with, and apparently, I'm not even allowed to touch anything.
- New makeup trends. Who cares? It's not like I have anywhere to go.
- Clothes. Nothing fits.
And there I was, buying all this stuff like I was just relaxing and treating myself in the afternoon... as if I'm trying to drive myself to an early grave. 🙂

Is it truly possible to change the minds of those who have been set in their ways for decades? I think it is best not to even bother expecting such a miracle! Why not simply draw a line in the sand and decide where you stand—letting things be what they will be for whoever they may concern—and then bid them a polite farewell! 😉

.. 😂😂😂 and honestly, it seems like you’re just hunting down every possible insecurity of a pregnant woman, even your own.. are you a masochist? 😁 ..just kidding.. maybe try picking up some good prose instead... I've been reading John Dunning lately, those mystery series with detective Cliff Janeway... they're actually really good, highly recommend! 🙂

Just venting here for a second: the bookkeeper at my vocational school is driving me absolutely insane. Two weeks ago, the head office told her to prep an unemployment claim form for me so they could consolidate everything and send it over to the Department of Labor. Today, I call the main office, and they haven't heard a single thing. Then I call this other school, and it turns out she never even made the form—and she "can't" do it now because she’s busy heading down to Florida on a field trip with students. 🎉Fantastic. She says she'll handle it when she gets back. WHEN? It's already the 27th! The freaking 27th! My deadline to get these papers filed if I want to see a dime is the 5th. That's only a week away, and she just shrugs it off like, "We'll get to it." Well, screw you; it's not your paycheck on the line.

Yesterday, the grandmother of my partner started talking complete nonsense... she's 83, so her thoughts tend to wander all over the place, but suddenly she’s fixated on cat hair. We don't have a cat, nor are we planning on getting one, yet she starts telling us how someone—who knows who—found cat hair in their lungs. Honestly, who cares? It's just bizarre...

So, I told my partner we should head out for a walk through the hills... I mean, why stay stuck here? I can't be expected to sit around in this "rut" forever, especially since I'm actually looking forward to starting a family myself... and so on...

But then everyone leaves, and I can't exactly be the flake who walks out, so I'm stuck sitting there listening to her ramblings. My patience for this kind of thing is pretty much non-existent lately.

God, give me a break with the hair stuff. I’m allergic to cats and—I'll be honest—I'm more of a dog person anyway—but this is just getting on my nerves.
It's like they're comparing some stray alley cat from a hundred years ago—something scruffy that nobody ever even touched—to modern house cats that people actually groom and take care of. Honestly, there are some truly delusional people out there. 😠

Those endless baby checklists are seriously getting on my nerves.
I feel like a complete amateur—I don't even recognize half the stuff on there. 🙈
Like, I actually had to Google what a cloth diaper was just to make sense of things. 🤷
And it’s so frustrating that every single item on these lists has its own massive, 290-page thread, with the very first post dating all the way back to 2003. 😠

At least we have plenty of time to figure it all out,😉 though I’m making a very conscious effort to stay completely in the dark about all that gear for now.🙂

What really grinds my gears, though, is how everyone seems to be constantly scrutinizing me—it feels like everyone is obsessed with tracking my weight gain or just feels the need to comment on my physical appearance.😠

It’s driving me insane. I just finished doing my toenails, and then I immediately roll my office chair right over one of my toes and smudge everything. 😠 🙂

I’m seriously about to lose it. Honestly, I feel like crying like a toddler over this. 🙄

I suppose I should "brag" about how my morning started with a round of nausea again (even though I’m already six months along!), and then just an hour ago, I was jolted awake by a lovely little cocktail of insomnia and heartburn 😠

And here I thought the second trimester was supposed to be the golden era where the nausea finally vanishes and you don't have to deal with constant heartburn 🙄

It honestly drives me crazy when people constantly ask if I’m having a boy or a girl, only to follow it up by "comforting" me because they think I'll be disappointed since I already have a son. 🙄
What is so unbelievable about the fact that I truly don't care? At the end of the day, I just want a healthy baby, regardless of whether it's a boy or a girl...
During my last pregnancy, I was just exhausted by women I wasn't even close with, hovering over me with all this unsolicited advice about pregnancy, labor, or parenting... anything at all, even when I hadn't asked for a single thing.

..So my brother-in-law just got back from his beach vacation and swung by my place last night just to check in on me, asking if everything was okay and—get this—if the baby was still alive 😲😲 I mean, seriously, WTF? You’re really asking me that when I’m already eight months pregnant?? My hair practically stood on end...

Ugh, seriously...
Yesterday, I was heading out to grab my stroller and taking the trash to the bin when this neighbor starts unloading her little one from the car and asks me, "How much longer do you have left?"
I told her, "Oh, about three weeks until the due date."
She goes, "Ooooh, wonderful! We'll be sure to keep it down at night once the baby arrives!"🙂
Yeah, right, I just said, "Sure."
And then
I get back in the car and tell my husband, "Who even is that woman? I've never seen her before," and he's just like, "I don't know either."
Now I'm sitting here thinking, once I actually have the baby and we start going for walks,
what if everyone starts hovering around us? Grrrr...
I really don't like it.
Up until now, I haven't really had much contact with the neighbors—honestly, I barely know some of them—but suddenly everyone thinks they have something to say about my business. Please!

Honestly, it’s been driving me absolutely insane lately how nobody seems to take me seriously as a pregnant woman... or honestly, just as a person at all. Like, my servers at the restaurant treat me more like one of the gang than the actual boss. I’ll tell them fifteen different times to switch up the playlist—or I'll just go ahead and do it myself—but fifteen minutes later, they’re right back to their old habits. And then you’ve got these older folks sitting out on the patio, trying to enjoy themselves, while the music is just thumping away like crazy. It’s so disrespectful. I’ll ask them to go clean the restrooms, and instead, they just sit there and light up a cigarette.😠
Look, I’m not really the type of person who wants to go around barking orders and playing drill sergeant just to keep order, but if I’m the one paying your wages, and I’m being fair to you by giving you perks that literally no other boss would ever dream of allowing, then for heaven's sake, just put in some effort.🙄
Just yesterday, this waitress was opening up the cafe in the morning, and I sat down at the counter for a second just to clear my head and catch my breath, and she actually sits right down next to me and asks me to make *her* a coffee.😲

Maybe he just meant is the baby active, you know, kicking hard and moving around and all that.. 🤔

At least that would have been my first thought.. 🙂

I feel the same way sometimes. I'll start yelling, "I'm pregnant!" just to get someone to bring me this or that, basically just to remind them in case they forgot. 😬

Honestly, being pregnant has become my excuse for everything 😁

But what gets on my nerves most is the constant peeing. Getting up twice a night because of it, the waking up... I hate going to the bathroom! 😠

God forbid I go overboard on watermelon in the evening (since I absolutely love it), then I'd probably need a cup right next to my bed.

Yesterday I polished off over 4 pounds of watermelon, and today I only had to get up three times. 🙂

The nicer you are to people, the worse they treat you. It's the honest truth.
My advice? Change your tune and start docking pay for stuff like this, because they won't get it otherwise. First, call a meeting and explain clearly that this behavior isn't okay and that there will be consequences. Then, if they keep acting up, actually follow through... you'll see how fast they shape up once you do.
And look, whether you're pregnant or not doesn't matter—if you're the boss (which I can tell you are), you have to run things that way. You're running a business, not a charity.
