I’m actually tearing up watching some random 40-minute show—nothing even special about it, just something I wouldn't have even blinked at before—and it's happened at least twice now. Seriously...

It feels as though my brain is operating at roughly 20% capacity today. Honestly, I have to write everything down because my memory is completely shot. I left my bike outside my house, and naturally, it vanished within minutes. To make matters worse, I neglected to drive my car, so now it keeps stalling on me—something that hasn't happened once in the last ten years.
Now, every single time the engine dies, I immediately burst into tears.🙂

I read somewhere that it’s actually totally normal—basically the body's way of shielding itself from overwhelming stress... it protects you from the trauma itself, because honestly, why would you even want to hold onto those memories? Better off just blanking out. 😁 That'll definitely get us to a state of Nirvana. LOL
Now I just have to explain to my husband that forgetting stuff is a legitimate survival mechanism... lord help me. 🙂

And he keeps insisting I’ve gone deaf ever since I got pregnant ☕

I’ve started getting hit with this constant hunger... my husband just tells me I'm making stuff up and that it's because I'm eating too late at night. ☕
As if I can even begin to explain it to them...
If they actually read anything about pregnancy, there’d be way fewer skeptical Thomases out there. 🙄

I can certainly empathize with husbands and fathers when they give me that blank, weary stare while I’m having a meltdown—especially since my own husband loves to tell me I’m being "impossible." But honestly, when my mother insists that mood swings and postpartum depression simply didn't exist back in her day, I genuinely start to worry that there might be something fundamentally wrong with her head. 🙄

That’s just nonsense. It happened back then too, they just didn't have a fancy medical label for it and nobody talked about it openly. There was no internet to give everyone instant answers like there is now.

My grandma used to tell me that when she was having kids, it was standard practice (at least in the Midwest) for someone to stay with the mother for the first month or so. That's basically the entire recovery period!😉

Mood swings during pregnancy and after giving birth are completely normal, and there is absolutely no reason to feel ashamed about it.

My mom keeps calling me "soft"—as if you can actually tell I'm seeing someone just by looking at me...

It used to drive me absolutely crazy when my grandma insisted I shave my head short before my first baby arrived (and maybe get a perm 😁) just because she claimed I wouldn’t have any time to fix my hair once the kid was here.
But guess what? Right when I was in labor, my hair was longer than it had ever been—literally down to the middle of my back! 😂

No way am I ever giving up the long hair. It’s honestly just easier to deal with—I just toss it into a ponytail or a messy bun and call it a day. 🙂

Zachary White5 said:I also heard that thing about breasts—that if they grow a lot, it's definitely a girl because of hormones, but if they stay small, it's a boy... What do you guys think? 😬

Interesting... 🙂 mine have grown two cup sizes already! We don't know the sex yet, but I have a gut feeling it's a girl...

Honestly, it drives me absolutely insane how everyone is constantly pestering me about when we'll find out the gender (maybe I'm being dramatic, but none of these friends asking actually have kids, so they have zero clue how this works) and then there are the random ladies on the street trying to predict everything for me. 🙂
One woman told me it's a girl just because I have a pretty face, and another insisted it's a boy because I'm tall (my mom was super tall too, while my brothers were short).

Ugh, I guess I used to be just like that with other pregnant women before I was actually pregnant myself 🤣 I didn't know anything about it back then, so one of my first questions would always be about the gender, even if most people couldn't even see a flicker on an ultrasound yet 😁
Now it feels weird when someone asks me that early on. Maybe I'm just being a hypocrite 😂

Earlier today, a woman approached me to ask about my outfit, and when I gave her an answer, she just looked at me with this profound sense of pity and sighed, "Oh, well, it doesn't matter since you're a girl." 🙂
It isn't exactly the first time I’ve encountered that kind of reaction.
There still seems to be a segment of people out there clinging to the hope that somehow the ultrasound was wrong and they’re actually having a boy.
They can't seem to resist making a comment whenever the opportunity arises.

I find myself wondering exactly when it became acceptable to view daughters as somehow less desirable or less valuable than sons. 😕

Another thing I constantly deal with is the unsolicited commentary on why I haven't gained weight. There is this pervasive assumption that if a pregnant woman doesn't put on at least twenty pounds, she’s being unhealthy or essentially starving the baby.
The prevailing logic is that you absolutely have to force yourself to eat everything in sight just to satisfy the idea of "eating for two." 🙂

Unbelievable. Are we seriously stuck in some ancient century or something?🙄
But honestly, it’s not surprising. I know this one guy—he's like 80—who reacted the exact same way toward his great-grandchild when the parents found out the sex. Just totally disappointed: "Oh, it's a girl? But..." I really don't get it... I mean, maybe I can wrap my head around older folks being stuck in an old-school mindset, even if that's no excuse since they live in the 21st century too and aren't totally isolated from the world, but for younger people... I'm speechless. Thank God I'm surrounded by people who don't care about gender and will be just as happy whether it's a boy or a girl.🙂
Still, I really thought this whole preference for boys was something from the past... 🙄

During my second pregnancy, the most infuriating part is how nothing has changed since the first one. It’s like a rerun nobody asked for. Same morning sickness, same gastritis, thyroid issues, and now preterm labor again. And I can't stand everyone who keeps telling me, "It’ll be different this time," or "You don't have time to worry about health stuff while raising a toddler." Give me a break. They act like I made it all up. Especially now, with my three-year-old adjusting to a new preschool, I'm supposed to be resting, yet I can't give him the attention he needs or even go for walks. It’s exhausting.
Then there's the reaction when I mention it's another boy. Most people just shrug and say, "Oh, what a shame..." and leave it at that.

I'm dealing with these massive mood swings lately. I mean, out of nowhere, I just feel this heavy sadness and start crying for no reason at all 🙂 And then, like, a minute ago, everything seemed totally fine...

Honestly, my biggest grievance right now is just how constantly hungry I am! 🙂 And the worst part? Nothing actually sounds good to eat anymore. Everything tastes bland, and it’s becoming a rare occurrence where I actually find something genuinely delicious.

And here I was thinking I was the only one going through this right now. 🤣
Some days I am starving, but have zero clue what to eat... then other days, I know EXACTLY what I want. For instance, I spent two days straight just snacking on canned tuna pâté...
....hmmmmm......might just go for that again. 😍
