No offense to the ladies here, but if you aren't going to stand up for yourselves, why on earth would you expect anyone else to do it for you?! 🤷

I honestly had no clue how much of a nightmare it is to stand there at the CVS counter while being 39 weeks pregnant until it actually happened to me. So no, I’m not expecting some kid to step up and move for me. The real issue is that people have zero manners and they couldn't care less about anyone but themselves!

Candida drives me absolutely insane too! It's so frustrating!

Honestly, I didn't realize how brutal it is standing in line at a CVS when you're 39 weeks pregnant until I actually went through it myself—so, yeah, I don't exactly expect some random kid to step aside for me. The real issue is just a lack of basic manners; people seem way too wrapped up in themselves to care about anyone else.

It’s not even about kids, though—we're talking about middle-aged folks here, mothers who have grown children of their own who've been through this too... 🙂
But how am I supposed to say anything when there’s a 70-year-old grandmother right in front of me, leaning on a cane and struggling just to stay upright? 🤷

Fine, whatever. If it’s an 80-year-old grandmother, sure, I’d let it slide. But if some 40-year-old woman tries to lecture me, I’d snap back loud enough for everyone to hear: "Yeah, clearly standing here at eight months pregnant isn't hard for me, so don't you dare try to push me aside." Trust me, she'd be mortified and people would give her such a look! Go ahead, try it and see how much fun you have! 😉

The other day, I actually told this chronic smoker/drinker at the drugstore to stop blowing smoke in my face and give me some privacy while I was picking up my vaginal suppositories. And I said it LOUD. Everyone heard!
The Pharmacist didn't say a word, but she gave me this little smirk and a look of total approval. 🙂

Dana Martin87 said:It doesn't bother me when an older guy or some senior citizen cuts in front of me. No matter how much we’re struggling, I know their situation is way harder. What is someone in their 80s supposed to do when they can barely breathe, let alone stand there for ages? I always prioritize the elderly over pregnant women, and that includes my own pregnancy right now. I’ll keep giving up my seat to seniors for as long as I possibly can. If it becomes physically impossible later in my pregnancy, well, then it is what it is. But I'm hoping for a smooth enough term where that won't be an issue.

What actually gets under my skin? Candida. Dealing with this constant yeast infection is one thing, but during pregnancy, it’s nerve-wracking. Every time I feel that stinging sensation, I start panicking that it might be something more serious, so I end up getting a urine culture done constantly.

Well, I wouldn't even be complaining here if it hadn't been for some poor little old lady with a cane who could barely stay upright asking me to let her go first. But this "gentleman" at the grocery store was in pretty good shape and nowhere near eighty. Regardless, I let him pass since he seemed to be in such a rush anyway. I just find the lack of basic manners so baffling; I was struggling to stand myself, being 33 weeks pregnant after finishing a full workday, yet I still didn't try to push my way ahead of anyone in line.

It’s driving me crazy thinking about having to tell my relatives we’re expecting another baby, because I already know the immediate follow-up is going to be them begging me to hand over my firstborn. 🙂
I don't doubt that scenario for a second. Honestly, whenever I have even a minor headache, they immediately volunteer to come over and babysit him for a week. This might sound totally irrational, but since we live in different cities, I can't shake this terrifying thought that my 13-month-old will end up spending a few nights at his grandparents' house while my husband and I stay home alone for no reason at all. I'd much rather wait until the early pregnancy symptoms pass so I can just shut them down and tell them I'm perfectly happy with just the three of us (soon to be four). Whoops...

I am seriously starting to lose my mind with my mother-in-law. She keeps harping on about how she can iron everything and wash all the baby’s laundry—she even suggested my husband should just bring her his dirty diapers so she can handle those too! Honestly? When I point out that he’s more than capable of washing his own kid's diapers, she just rolls her eyes at me... I guess in her head, her son is somehow completely incompetent when it comes to basic parenting chores.

From what I've seen, you're going to deal with that exact thing about a month before the delivery.😬

Don't even mention it yet. Just wait until you hit that three-month mark...
Personally, I know we’re going to keep quiet until we absolutely have to—basically once the bump starts showing. But I am genuinely curious about how my mother-in-law will react. I bet her first question will be, "Already? You guys are so young, you should have enjoyed being alone longer!" 🤮 But we worked so hard for this, and we wanted this baby more than anything. So, I don't want to deal with unnecessary stress during these first three months, which is why I'm staying silent! 🙂

And then yesterday, she tried giving me these totally bizarre "tips & tricks" about how we should handle intimacy once the baby arrives 😬

🙂 🙂 🙂

Honestly, my blood pressure is hitting the ceiling just hearing people claim we aren't supposed to buy, prep, or get anything ready until after the baby actually arrives 🙂 🙂 🙂

I mean, what if this were my second kid? I’d already have everything staged and ready to go, wouldn't I? 🙂

No way—I’ll be walking out of the hospital with a naked newborn in my arms and heading straight to Target to get everything she needs.🙂

Honestly, what’s getting under my skin the most right now is having to run to the restroom constantly. When I'm just hanging out at home, I feel like I could practically live on the toilet... It makes no sense, because as soon as I step outside, everything seems to settle down and stabilize perfectly enough.🤷 I didn't deal with any of this during my first pregnancy...
I see people debating about waiting in line... For me, the thing that really bugs me is when someone pushes ahead of me, whether I'm pregnant or not. You never truly know why someone might be in such a rush, and they might have a perfectly valid reason for needing to skip the line or for needing a seat on the bus regardless of how old they are... Take me, for example—whenever I get my period, I suffer from these absolutely brutal migraines. If I were to board a bus after a long lecture in that state, I know for a fact I wouldn't be able to stand up, not even for a pregnant woman or someone who looks a hundred years old. There was this one time when my little guy was only two months old; we were out for a walk and I had to drop off some paperwork. I told my husband to wait for me while I took a quick stroll around the area. There was only one person ahead of me in line... I called my husband to let him know I’d be right there since I was next in line. Right then, this woman walks in. To be honest, I didn't even realize she was pregnant, even after she took off her coat (it was freezing out!). Just as I was about to head into the office because the person ahead of me had finished, she turns to me and asks if she can go first. I told her I was in a hurry too, but then she mentioned she was pregnant and would be super quick, and she just pushed right past me into the room before I could even process what was happening! I was totally caught off guard. She was gone for five minutes—my husband was calling me in a total panic because the baby was waking up and asking when I'd be back (I told him, "Hold on, I'll have the pacifier in his mouth in five minutes!"). Ten minutes later, she still wasn't out... 😠 My husband calls again, and I'm like, "I'll be there in a second!" So, I didn't even get my errands done... If I had been able to catch her right then, 🙂🙂🙂 I don't judge anyone anymore, and I'm definitely not asking for special treatment or for people to let me cut in line... But please, just stop pushing! 😉

It’s infuriating when someone implies you aren’t "normal" just because you haven't gone off to have a baby yet. You sit there wondering whether to say nothing at all or just strike them for being so profoundly ignorant.☕

My mother calls from out of state to check in, and my husband picks up the phone only to tell her I'm not home—that I headed out to Chicago. My heart nearly stops because he makes it sound like I've gone into labor and am ignoring her calls. The man is an absolute idiot; he doesn't even realize what he's saying. 🙂

I ask him if anyone actually called. He says no. Then, an hour later—after she’s already back at work—he finally remembers she did call and tells me exactly what she said. 🙂

My own mother tries this stuff with me—she actually had this "plan" where she wanted to take everything we bought for the baby over to her house because apparently, having baby gear sitting in our home is bad luck... so I had to sit her down and explain that when I walk through those hospital doors and come home, I am NOT going to be hunting around for a diaper or a onesie while I'm trying to care for a newborn. I'm going to put my things exactly where I want them, and that's final.
But she isn't the only one I've heard this from... it's all just superstitious nonsense and it drives me absolutely insane.

Hey, regarding that "You're fat" comment🙂

I'm 5'4" and I've gained about 22 pounds—but I'm also two months away from giving birth. So, if anyone's actually fat here, it's definitely you, not me, you absolute moron.😠

Next time someone acts like that, just tell them, "I'll be giving birth in two months and dropping the weight, while you'll still be stuck with the exact same problem"...

Honestly, my husband and I call each other fat all the time, but nobody's actually overweight—it’s just how we joke around. 😉

But this wasn't a joke...
I told her straight up that I wasn't fat, I was pregnant—and that this is my baby. I just wasn't in the mood to swallow my pride and let it slide. 🙂

Oh man, they spent days trying to brainwash me into going out to Target to pick up a stroller when I was about 24 weeks along... I just told them I was doing it and that was that. If something is meant to happen, it'll happen, and buying a stroller isn't going to change fate or anything like that...

If we were being totally logical, we probably shouldn't be buying anything at all since you never truly know what might happen next in life...

Oh, the bathroom situation...😁 I don't even let it get to me anymore; I've just accepted that I have to go every fifteen minutes and that's just how it is. It’s not even as bad during the day, but once evening hits... it's literally every ten minutes...

And today, I ended up standing there so politely in line at the Post Office in front of two ladies because they were just leaning against the counter chatting away...

My little one has suddenly become quite active during nap time.

In response to that, I received the following "advice":
1. Have a drink yourself, because it might help sedate the baby.
2. Feed them some mashed bananas; apparently, people used to put those in formula to keep kids calmer.

I feel like I am constantly surrounded by idiots.😍
