So, my boss basically sent me packing and told me to head home early today because I was feeling absolutely trashed. Honestly, I totally lost my cool for a second, thinking maybe my blood pressure was just spiking or something, but then I realized I had to know. I bolted straight to the CVS down the street to grab one of those instant tests you can do right there, andβ€”lo and beholdβ€”it’s a big fat plus. Oh my god, girls, I am just over the moon right now...

Bravo!!! Huge congratulations!!πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸ™‚πŸ™‚

coastalviper10 said:hey there... look, it doesn't have to be a "must," but honestly, my experience was basically just living in the bathroom... like, every single time I turned around, I was running to the toilet... plus my breasts were super tender around the nipples... and now I'm looking at a positive test today... those were pretty much my only tells right at the start... maybe a little bloating too... anyway, good luck...

I'm asking because for the last few months, ever since I started trying to conceive, I've had all the symptoms except for that constant urge to pee. I guess maybe that's a key sign? I still have about 11 days until my next period starts.

THANK YOU THANK YOU... I actually went in for blood work this morning... my OB sent me straight to prenatal care back on Tuesday, and they already have me on progesterone, taking two capsules every night at the hospital... and I'll be doing this for three months... man, what a ride...
Honestly, I just took a tip from a coworker... who actually got the advice from her own friend, and they both ended up pregnant that exact same month... the trick is that right after you're done having sex, just shove a pillow under your hips and keep your legs up in the air for maybe 20 or 30 minutes... I gave it a shot and, boom, first try at planning it out... maybe it's total nonsense and maybe it isn't, who knows... those 20 minutes with my legs in the air didn't really matter to me one way or the other, as long as it worked for them, heh... and here we are, a positive test and now the waiting game begins... just hoping everything stays on track... sending good vibes to everyone...

Solid advice 😁, honestly worth trying since it doesn't cost anything. πŸ™

I mean, I have to wonder πŸ€” how people manage to get pregnant when they're just... doing it standing up, out in the world? There aren't exactly pillows lying around out there. Or if they want to stay pregnant, do they have to spend half an hour holding a handstand? 🀣

haha, oh man... this is gold!!!

I actually tried that pillow trick myself, but no luck there. I track my temperature religiously so I know exactly when I'm ovulating, but nothing has worked yet. This marks our fifth attempt at this. My doctor told me during my last checkup at the Mayo Clinic that everything looks fine and to just have some patience. Well, clearly I’m not great at the whole waiting game part. But hey, I'm not letting it get to me too much... at least not yet. πŸ™‚

Well, you probably just had the wrong kind of pillow!! 🀣

Fingers crossed things start happening for you soon.....πŸ˜‰

I suppose I’ll give this pillow trick a shot myself, and we shall see how it goes.
If it doesn't pan out, I might just end up buying a new one, perhaps a Tempur-Pedic memory foam model. 😁

I heard about that guy... they say he can handle twins, triplets, even quadruplets. Apparently, his memory is sharp enough to keep track of them all while he's working.😁😁

Should I just grab a pillow and give my husband some space then?

Exactly. Let him just stockpile up...🀣

I really hope you get that positive test soon, whether there's a pillow involved or not...

There’s clearly a bottleneck when it comes to making babies lately. Is it the recession? Or is everyone too busy worrying about how they're going to afford textbooks for college🀣, so nobody's really focused on adding to the family anymore...

Just as long as we don't start blaming the pillows!!!!πŸ™‚

Ryan Morris15, how’s everything looking on your end? Any updates at all? Is it running behind schedule?
I'm really hoping it's actually on track! Let me know! πŸ‘

It’s day 29 of this whole circus, and while I’m feeling some mild cramping, it isn't quite as intense as it usually is before my period actually starts. I had some light aches last night and honestly thought I’d be bleeding by morning, but nothing has happened yet; though, given how unpredictable my cycle can be, we could be looking at day 29, 30, 31, or even stretching out to day 34 before anything shifts.
I’ve also noticed an unusually heavy, thick white discharge over the last couple of days.🀷

I’m in the exact same boat with my cycle. It isn't exactly regular within that window, even though things seemed to have finally settled down over the last three months and I usually get it on day 31.
Are you tracking your temperature? I always seem to get mine exactly 14 days after ovulation. Based on that, I can pretty much count on it happening on that specific day.

I really hope it doesn't start for you! Just try to relax and let whatever happens, happen.

I haven't really been keeping track of my temperature lately, mostly because the timing is such a hassle; I suppose it’s difficult when you have to do it first thing in the morning, and I usually don't feel quite like myself until I've had my coffee, by which point I'm already up and moving 😁

Maybe you won't even need it....
It’s probably just worth checking, you know? Just doing some due diligence to see if things are actually running late. Honestly, though, I don't think you'd even need to head down there for another day or two anyway.

I'll second that... I had one regular period and was also pregnant...

As for the period, I suppose it’s entirely possible; I actually know someone who had a completely regular cycle all the way up until she was six months pregnant, which even her doctor found hard to believe until he saw the scans himself. In the end, though, she went on to have a beautiful, healthy baby girl.

I suppose it might be a bit premature to take a test on day 31, especially since my longest cycle was only about 34 days
I guess those longer cycles only seem to happen to me maybe two or three times a year

I don't think it’s too early at all. Honestly, just grab one of those budget-friendly tests from CVS and try it with your first urine of the morning.
It might help settle those nerves a little. If it turns out positiveβ€”or even if it doesn't and you're still unsureβ€”just wait a few days and try again. πŸ‘
