Here’s the catch: I already settled the actual debt—which was about $60—back on December 6th, 2016, using the payment slip provided. Now, this writ says I have eight days to pay roughly $80 (the original amount plus fees), otherwise, they’ll tack on even more predictable costs (around $167). So, what’s my best move since I’ve technically already paid the principal? Should I file an appeal? Or is it easier to just pay the difference and the extra fees to make it go away?
I recently went in for a routine eye exam at the Cleveland Clinic, and to my absolute surprise, they found a cataract in my left eye—or rather, what they described as some "mild cloudiness" or a very early-stage cataract. The thing is, I'm only 28. Has anyone else here dealt with cataracts at such a young age? My ophthalmologist told me there's no need to panic just yet, but we’ll need to keep a close eye on it to see how things progress.

My boyfriend is having surgery in a few days (it's for his spine, under general anesthesia) over in Washington, D.C. at Rib, and I was just wondering what the protocol is for getting updates once the surgery is finished? Am I allowed to wait somewhere nearby while the operation is actually happening? I'm just not sure what the standard procedures or rules are in these kinds of situations.

I guess scientists say whatever they want about IQ, but if you look at the ratio of 100 lefties to 100,000 righties, maybe righties end up having a higher IQ or being smarter just because there are way more of them numerically. 🙂

Look, both sides have all sorts of people—smart ones, dumb ones, gifted folks, and those who struggle with art, sports, science, or whatever else. But with liberals, it seems like the makeup is just slightly different, and certain traits definitely show up more frequently in certain percentages. We could go on listing examples from our own lives, but that doesn't really give us a complete picture of every liberal in America. For instance, I can navigate any space I’m in without any trouble, whereas my sister often struggles to figure out where North is or which way the Mississippi flows. One time we went to a pizza parlor, sat down, ate, and when we were ready to leave, she couldn't even figure out where the front door was 😁

Back in high school, there were only three lefties in our class of 27, and all of us were straight-A students, which was pretty unique for the group. Now that I’m at university studying architecture, I’ve noticed a much higher concentration of lefties among both the students and professors, maybe around 30%. For what it's worth, I have an IQ of 140, based on my Mensa testing. My sister is also a lefty; she’s obsessed with reading and painting and is currently majoring in literature. I read somewhere that it’s quite rare for both siblings to be left-handed, especially when coming from right-handed parents like ours. In my family, the only outlier was one of my grandfathers, who was ambidextrous. My sister and I definitely seem to view the world through a slightly different lens—it feels like we have a more heightened perception of things. Then again, that might just be "professional deformation" because of my architecture major, or perhaps choosing that field was a direct result of how I perceive things... who knows!
Honestly, I found this one pretty underwhelming. It might actually be the weakest of the nine films nominated for Best Picture. For starters, Clooney just didn't click for me here; he felt a bit out of place in this particular role. The whole atmosphere felt a little flat, too. I managed to get an appointment at Harni Clinic just two days after calling them on Wednesday—I was actually there by Friday. Honestly, the gynecologists there are wonderful; you can ask them absolutely anything and they won't judge.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a yeast infection. I dealt with those exact same symptoms once and went to my OBGYN, only to find out it was indeed bacterial vaginosis. They gave me some Dow Chemical cream and a tea tree oil gel, and honestly, I feel great now—no issues at all. I'd suggest just biting the bullet and seeing a specialist; it's probably not wise to DIY something this sensitive, especially before jumping into something heavy like Monistat. You might also look into picking up some Vagisil capsules over the counter; they're pretty good for keeping your flora in balance. 👍
