Maria Fisher46 said:Hi there,
I get questions about urine results like yours all the time, honestly. When you see a bunch of squamous epithelial cells showing up, it usually just means the sample touched the skin during collection, which makes the whole thing kind of questionable—and that’s likely why those white blood cells popped up too. Based on what you're describing, it doesn't really look like you're dealing with a urinary tract infection.
Was that respiratory thing you had actually COVID-19, or was it something else entirely? Any lingering symptoms hanging around? Also, did you get any bloodwork done besides the standard CBC?
Thanks for getting back to me!
It wasn't COVID. I have to get tested constantly for work anyway.
If I'm being totally honest and just guessing here, I think I probably didn't give my body enough downtime, because as soon as I started feeling even slightly better, I was already out walking in the freezing cold and stuff, and then everything just tanked again with this weird pressure in my lungs and feeling super weak. But I'm feeling pretty much back to normal now, so yeah, no extra tests yet.
So, I decided to head down to the lab for some bloodwork because I’ve been feeling totally wiped out ever since I caught that respiratory bug, and honestly, even after the antibiotics finished their job, the exhaustion just won't quit on me.
My CBC actually came back looking pretty normal, which is a relief.
But then there's the urinalysis...
It shows a few things that are outside the standard range, specifically:
Appearance: cloudy
Leukocyte esterase: 15, reference range Leukocytes: 5-7, reference range 0-2 (x400)
Epithelial cells: many, reference range 0-1 (x400)
Bacteria: some present, reference range 0/neg (x400)
Mucus: rare, reference range 0/neg (x400)
My doctor ended up giving me a referral for a urine culture, but since I’m not actually feeling any typical UTI symptoms or discomfort, I was wondering if you guys think it's really necessary to go through with these extra tests.

I totally tried to wrap my head around that nonsense, but I still can't find the actual thread anywhere.
So, could someone please point me in the right direction and maybe drop a link?
@Frank Martin2👍
I’m honestly just sitting here waiting for someone to finally call you out on all this daydreaming, because if you keep talking like that, you might as well just dive headfirst into the world of conspiracy theory😁. Honestly, it's kind of adorable how much you're overthinking this, but maybe take it down a notch?
So, I was just wondering—is anyone actually going to give us an explanation for this?

So, if anyone has an issue with how things are being handled, those are the institutions you should be looking at. Schools aren't making these calls on their own; they’re simply implementing decisions handed down from higher authorities, which they are legally obligated to follow.
I actually reached out to the CDC myself to get some clarity, but I haven't heard a single peep back from them yet.
coastalorca43 said:This whole thing needs to be cleared up immediately this week. Reach out to your principals and show them the actual decision. Right now, nobody seems to know who's actually in charge.
Is it the task force, the CDC, the local education departments, or the principals??
I mean, the principals definitely should have been the ones to get this info so they could pass it down to everyone else at the school, but hey, we'll just have to wait and see how things shake out tomorrow.
coastalorca43 said:The latest guidance from the government headquarters regarding masks has just been released.
Tapatalk The government has officially issued a mandate regarding the mandatory use of face masks or medical masks.
To protect the American public from COVID-19, this decision implements necessary epidemiological measures requiring everyone to wear face masks or medical masks.
Face masks or medical masks must be worn correctly, ensuring that both the nose and mouth remain fully covered at all times while wearing them.
Staff at social service facilities providing residential care, along with any visitors allowed to see the residents;
Drivers, all other transit employees, and passengers on public transportation.
Retail employees and customers during their time spent in stores.
Hospitality workers who interact directly with guests or take part in serving and preparing food and beverages.
Guests in indoor dining establishments are permitted only while seated and actively consuming food or beverages.
Employees of retail businesses, public institutions, and various agencies who interact directly with customers, as well as the clients themselves who visit these retail establishments, institutions, and agencies.
Service industry employees who work in close contact with clients;
Office employees working in environments where maintaining a minimum physical distance of six feet is not feasible;
Faithful congregants gathered together during religious ceremonies and indoor worship services.
Spectators attending indoor sporting events;
Everyone attending any kind of social gathering or public event held indoors;
Individuals who are mandated to do so by their employer;
People in outdoor settings where maintaining physical distance simply isn't an option;
Even in other settings or circumstances where it isn't feasible to ensure that only individuals with a digital COVID certificate are allowed entry.
Face masks or medical masks aren't required if you fall under the recommended exemptions posted on the CDC website, or in any situation where it's guaranteed that everyone at a public event or within a specific venue holds an EU digital COVID certificate.
Employers, organizers of social gatherings, public events, and all other types of assemblies are required to enforce mask mandates and ensure that face masks or medical masks are being worn properly.
This Decision does not apply to:
Healthcare institutions are strictly required to follow all professional guidelines and official recommendations.
Working within elementary and high schools, universities, and preschool education centers.
The decision goes into effect on September 1st and will remain in force until September 15th, 2021.
Does this mean that kids aren't covered by this decision, so nobody at schools can cite it to demand masks?
Schools got some instructions from the CDC the other day saying masks should stay just like last year—
students from 5th grade onward, subject teachers, and staff,
if it’s an institution where the spacing between students in classrooms is less than 1.5 m, they have to
wear masks; high schoolers and teachers, if it’s an institution where the spacing in
classrooms is less than roughly 2 m, they have to wear masks.
The date on the guidance is August 26, 2021.
Since this decision is dated August 30, I'm really crossing my fingers that they actually changed their minds, which would be totally awesome!!

We’re talking about a total twilight zone of medicine here—an industry so flooded with shady money and bribes that they basically staged a hostile takeover. And don't even get me started on how the politicians rolled out the red carpet to help them pull it off. It was the missing piece of the puzzle for them. Now? They finally have everything they need under one roof.
They really are experts, though, and there's no denying their credentials.
The problem is everyone gets slapped with a label, like being called "anti-vaxxers" or even worse, labeled as "malicious."
Oh my gosh, please don't go rushing to get the kids vaccinated with this stuff, I really think we should just take a breather and be careful.
And here they go again, pretending to be the experts!
A group of 93 doctors from Israel are speaking out, basically saying they don't think we should be giving the Covid-19 vaccine to kids.I really feel like we shouldn't be in such a massive hurry to get our kids vaccinated until we actually have the whole story laid out in front of us, especially since Coronavirus Disease does not endanger children , and The First Rul in medicina is to make sure we aren't causing any unnecessary harm in the process.
They actually dedicated an entire section of the letter just to pointing out how we still don't have the full story on those super rare, serious side effects, mostly because so many folks who actually felt the hit from the vaccine never ended up reporting it.
Morgan Peterson said:I removed those posts because they were entirely off-topic.
The reality is that the user in question has been permanently banned for reasons known perfectly well to both him and the site administration.
While I realize you might miss his presence, I saw no indication that he filed an appeal, and since our forum rules dictate that individuals must advocate for themselves, calling for an amnesty is completely pointless unless he makes the request himself—and even then, only if he chooses to.
Only at that point could we discuss the matter, and strictly within this space, not in the coronavirus PDF thread.
I didn't shut down the thread because of your three messages, but rather because of the ten or more deleted, purely inflammatory, off-topic posts that some users continued to spam even after I issued a warning.
I sincerely hope we can put this to rest now—not for my sake, but for the sake of those of you who actually want to use that space for its intended purpose.
Fair enough, thanks for clearing that up.
I'm just hoping nothing is set in stone and that if he ever decides he wants to come back, he'll be allowed to.
To be honest, he was one of the more active and sharpest folks on here (for anyone wondering—he went by Selfie), and he wasn't afraid to push back against the official narrative, so I truly hope there wasn't any bias involved—even if it was unintentional, because things can get messy when a moderator leans too hard toward one side. Just saying, if there's any way at all to get that permanent ban lifted, you've got my vote.
mistybison said:Not at all... I wish you all the best. 🙂
I truly admire your patience in reading through all that nonsense copied from various American news sites. 😁
It’s mostly just garbage pulled from mainstream media outlets, maybe a quote from some Nobel laureate, or some former Pfizer VP, or even a random lawsuit or court ruling thrown in there to make it look legit. It's all just total nonsense.
Morgan Peterson said:Off-topic posts are nothing more than mindless drivel designed purely to provoke; when people start clamoring for the reinstatement of permanently banned users, they are completely missing the point. None of this nonsense has anything to do with a single conspiracy theory, nor does it bear any relation to the coronavirus.
Moving forward, if you have grievances regarding the moderation team, I suggest you direct all your complaints here.
Alright, so Mr. Beam had a question for the mod team, and I just decided to follow up with a question for another user.
I know it might be a little out of line, but I really don't see how I was being provocative or rude like you claimed later on.
Our posts were wiped clean, and we didn't even get an answer to our questions.
Plus, the whole thread got locked after only about two hours (was it really because of those three posts?)
Was all that drama actually necessary?

Thanks for sharing this!👍
I ended up getting ISFJ, so I'm definitely gonna geek out and read more about it once my schedule clears up a bit.
Nicole Barrett76 said:Beyond just mastering assertiveness and negotiation tactics, you really ought to focus on low-cost promotion and self-branding strategies. I am specifically referring to cold calling, social media marketing and blogging alongside those fundamental presentation skills—which, if you ask me, is where you should start. Is it truly realistic to expect an immediate, massive following of people ready to flock to a lecture hall just to watch a polished PowerPoint? Probably not. But still, acquiring even a small amount of that expertise would be wise.
I used to work in door-to-door sales and, honestly, I wouldn't touch that stuff again unless I was absolutely desperate, even though I somehow managed to stick it out for a while since there was a base salary plus commission.
As far as public speaking or presenting to a crowd goes, I’ve actually always been okay with that; I know all the little tips about body language and nonverbal cues, and let's be real, doing the prep work is basically half the battle anyway...
Thanks to everyone else for the comments!
So, I’m definitely an introvert, and honestly, people usually just call me super chill or laid back.
It always feels a little awkward for me when I have to reach out to someone to ask for something or offer help, though I know I'm definitely not the only one who feels that way.
If we're talking about how some people are introverts and others are extroverts—and let's be real, most of us are actually a mix of both—wouldn't it be absolutely perfect if we could all just find careers that actually vibe with our natural personalities? Since that's obviously not always how life works, I'll just roll with it and try my best to crush whatever job I've got.
It’s just kind of frustrating because I really want to go after my full potential and lean into my talents (since everyone is gifted at something!), but right now, I just can't quite get there.
I mean, seriously, why should I have to change who I am, isn't that basically just stripping away your soul?
I’ve been struggling for a really long time now with, I guess you could say, just not quite finding my footing in the professional world.
Basically, I’ve always been the type to stay in the background—super sensitive, maybe a little too much, but definitely a hard worker who was a total straight-A student back in school.
Then, after graduating from college, everything just kind of hit a wall, which honestly happens to everyone starting out, but it felt like such a disaster when I couldn't find anything in my actual field.
So, I ended up taking these random jobs that had nothing to do with my degree, but the real kicker was that I wasn't even doing great at them, which left me feeling pretty worthless most of the time because that constant insecurity just follows you everywhere.
Finally, after five years of jumping around, I landed a permanent gig, but even though there are some good things about it, I still can't shake this feeling that I'm just stuck where I am.
I’ve toyed with the idea of using my savings to start my own thing, but whenever I think about how brutal it is to actually succeed at anything, I just lose all my motivation.
Given how I'm wired, I honestly have zero clue what kind of career would actually suit me.
The thing is, I almost never speak up for myself; I just put my head down, do the work, and stay out of the office drama, but I'm not exactly the creative type either.
It feels like being assertive, having a super positive vibe, being an extrovert, or even being a little pushy are the only traits people actually care about if you want to be successful in life or anything else, really.
I finally caught it! Even though musical movies aren't usually my thing, the soundtrack here is honestly such a blast, and the whole film is just one of those perfect, feel-good picks when you need a little pick-me-up
