Bridge of Spies (2015) - Steven Spielberg in Movies ·
jadedrifter17 said:Man, I’m seriously itching to see how Tom stood his ground against the Soviets and just pulled off those high-stakes moves during the negotiations.

And honestly, who else could possibly capture that kind of intensity better than the legend himself, Steven Spielberg?

Nobody! Tom aka American absolutely crushed it! Just pure mastery. Once Steven starts layering on all that subtle, understated patriotism, any guy with a backbone will want to swear an oath to the Constitution and recite a poem about America just to feel like a true American himself!🍿

Lisa Ross14 said:Honestly, the only thing worth watching in this flick is the 3D. I felt like I was stuck watching a cartoon the whole time... the characters are just caricatures of themselves. Plus, the tone is all over the place—never quite landing on one note. It’s just too flippant.

Also, you really need to see this in IMAX 3D. Even people who weren't feeling the movie at all were saying how incredible the visuals looked.🍿

Samuel Ortiz3 said:I’d honestly just go with the documentary. Don't get me wrong, the cinematography here is solid—even if it feels a bit too "Hollywood polished" for my taste—but the subject matter just doesn't feel right for a big-budget feature film. To me, the documentary hits way harder because you actually get to meet the real-life legend who pulled off the impossible. It's much more impactful. But hey, if you're already committed to hitting the theater, grab the 3D version just for the sheer spectacle of it.

If you've already seen the documentary, I've got another one for you to check out...
😉

My advice is to watch the feature first, then the documentary. Honestly, that documentary you mentioned isn't nearly as fascinating as those other films about tightrope walking.☕

Top tier!🤣

Surprisingly decent.. You can definitely laugh at some of the classic toilet humor bits. There were even a few genuinely great jokes that actually had me cracking up.👍
Is Legend (2015) actually worth the watch? in Movies ·
Let's go! I'm on a serious roll lately. This is actually my third solid movie in a row at the theater. It's been a minute since I've had a streak like this, and honestly, I only ended up seeing this one because Mars was in a different screening time. I can't blame anyone but the LA Times for the mix-up.
Anyway, it’s a great, breezy dark comedy about old-school gangsters from back when they settled most beefs with their fists. Back then, if you pulled a gun, you were looking at a long stretch behind bars!👍

Glad someone finally started this thread. I’ve been wanting to jump in for a while, but I had no clue how to do it! I saw it just last week and I'm still reeling from the experience. Seriously one of the best movies I've ever seen in a theater. I guess the reason it hit me so hard was because my expectations were pretty low after watching the trailers. Also, unlike Edward Price6, I am deathly afraid of heights. So, you can imagine how many times I nearly lost control of my bladder during certain scenes.👍
The Scorch Trials: The Maze Runner in Movies ·
This movie is a blast. It’s basically just non-stop running from the main characters. They even threw some zombies in there for good measure. It’s honestly one of those perfect movies to catch in a theater where you walk out feeling totally tripped out by what you just saw. I’m seriously hyped for the sequel. Hollywood is cranking out these teen apocalypse flicks like there's no tomorrow. 🍿
Absolutely Anything (2015) in Movies ·
Hands down, the worst movie Simon Pegg has ever done. It’s just dumb and boring. I was honestly seconds away from walking out of the theater.😵

dustyfalcon3 said:wow ok... because from what I can tell, the reviews are basically saying "Calling this one of the better Adam Sandler movies is like saying one strain of Ebola is slightly less horrific than another. Both are just pure agony." 🤣
I’d honestly be shocked if I ever sat through a Sandler movie that wasn't a total drag...

And look, I'm probably biased since I think pretty much any Sandler flick is solid. But seeing it sitting at a 5 on IMDb, it looks like anyone who hates his stuff is finding this one just as unbearable. 🤔

Pure genius. Adam Sandler and his buddy are having a blast filming these high-budget comedies. Honestly, I think any guy in his middle age who grew up playing those retro games back in the 80s is going to love this. The first half is masterfully done; it loses a little steam toward the end, but overall, it’s a solid ride.👍
Spy (2015) in Movies ·
This movie is absolute gold. I was laughing my head off the whole time! It’s rare for a comedy to lean this hard into clichés and still pull it off, but every single over-the-top joke just lands perfectly. Even the classic sexist tropes felt hilarious in this context. Stalline absolutely crushed it. This is a must-watch at the theater with the crew.👍
McFarland, USA (2015) in Movies ·
A total classic. It’s an American story about an outcast coach finding success both on the court and in life. If you're into sports movies, you'll definitely dig this one. 🍿
Entourage in Movies ·
I'm guessing this movie was made specifically for fans of the show. Since I've never actually watched the series, I almost fell asleep from boredom. The only thing that kept me awake was that actor playing the crazy manager—he was absolutely killer. He’s just a perfectly written character. Everything else was pretty dull. ☕
Danny Collins (2015) in Movies ·
Hands down the best movie I've seen in theaters all year. Super charming and a blast to watch.👍

It hits theaters here on August 27th.☕
Black Hat (2015, Michael Mann) in Movies ·
The concept behind this movie is killer, but it feels way overblown, and honestly, that ending is a complete disaster. It shifts from being genuinely gripping to just being exhausting to sit through. They definitely missed the mark somewhere. ☕
Serena (2014) in Movies ·
Heavy drama featuring this one handsome actor that women—and honestly, some guys too—just love watching, alongside the current teen queen of Hollywood, though she’s definitely not as good-looking as he is! All in all, it’s not as bad as I thought it would be, but you could probably catch a solid half-hour nap while watching since his pacing is pretty slow. He isn't winning any Oscars, though maybe a small one if she's involved because she actually knows how to act. ☕
Ace of Cups (2015) - Terrence Malick in Movies ·
What on earth happened to him? It feels like he’s just churning out movies every single year now. Even from this trailer, it looks exactly like his last two projects. Just a repetitive loop of the same music, a handful of famous actors hooking up while looking miserable, and then more big names staring at the sky and stretching for no apparent reason. My expectations are hitting rock bottom. Honestly, it might not even be as bad as that last one where I had to fight the urge to pass out for thirty minutes straight just watching Ben Affleck try so hard to act deadly serious and in love.☕
