Lawless (2012) in Movies ·
This movie is incredible. Honestly, maybe the best ensemble cast I've seen in a long time. Even with all those heavy hitters on screen, the guy playing the oldest brother really stood out to me. Everyone in the theater was on board—even the people who usually can't stand that overly sweet, soft kid archetype. In this film, he plays that exact type of character perfectly, and man, he nails it.☕
What did you (intentionally) miss? in Movies ·
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0383028/ After actually managing to sit through this whole mess until the credits rolled, I’ve decided there isn't a single movie out there that could make me walk out before it's over. I’ve already wasted about ten minutes of my life twice now trying to bail on The Tree of Life and Mr. Nobody.🤷

Rocky Balboa and Rambo 4 are easily the best movies of the decade. ☕

Honestly, a total pleasant surprise. I fought it for a while, trying to convince myself not to watch, but I finally gave in—and thank God I did! The movie leans pretty hard into parody, so I spent most of the runtime laughing my head off. Visually, it’s stunning. The cast is super likable too. The lead actress is a dead ringer for Audrey Hepburn. My only gripe? Someone really should have given her a little trim on those eyelashes! Definitely recommend this for parents with energetic kids.

Thank God Clooney didn't snag the Oscar for this role. I honestly don't get why he even got a nomination. I've seen those same dull, moody expressions of his a thousand times in his other movies. The film itself is okay—it shows a depressing situation set in a beautiful location—but it's just middle-of-the-road. Nothing special. Just another movie I overhyped myself for.🤷
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2009) in Movies ·
Just finished the sequel and I finally get why that book blew up so much. It’s basically a gritty noir detective story mixed with some soap opera drama. That tall, blue giant in the second part was definitely the highlight for me—man could easily make a career out of playing villains. Can't wait to catch the finale this Saturday. Really hoping they give us a happy ending!

It’s just a basic, easy-to-swallow rom-com. Luc Besson would have loved to direct this. Honestly, the Swedish film is twice as good, maybe even three times over. It’s no surprise some people lose their minds over the American version just because it looked like it had a slightly bigger budget. I mean, you've got that James Bond-style opening sequence, you've even got James Bond himself looking sharp in a nice jacket, plus we have Moneypenny played by Robin Wright, and even that old inventor looks like a legend played by Plummer. Even the villain is instantly recognizable since he's played by that famous Swedish actor who wasn't in the original. And the lead actress is two classes above the one in the Swedish version, but hey, maybe she's in a relationship with the director in the American version or something, so now everything is supposedly "dark" and deep. 🙂
The Ides of March (2011) in Movies ·
What a total waste of time. Honestly, I’ve seen this movie at least five times now, and it still sucks. Lately, I’m just over Ryan Gosling and how he picks his roles. Ever since Drive, it feels like he’s just playing the same brooding guy with weird impulses over and over again.🙂

Any idea when this hits theaters here? I'm trying my best to hold out so I don't just end up watching it on my laptop. 🙂
500 Days of Summer (2009) in Movies ·
It’s basically a movie about a duck. I was hoping for a bit more, but honestly, it’s put together pretty well. I actually dug the slow-burn Atmospheric vibe they went for. The cast is alright too—they aren't exactly Hollywood heartthrobs, which is kind of refreshing since most modern blockbusters just rely on eye candy. The ending was a little dumb though, which drags the score down. 6/10. If you're into indie flicks, give it a shot.🙂
Would you watch Tower Heist? in Movies ·
A bunch of big-name actors wasted on a total dud. It was a decent attempt, but honestly, it just didn't land. I walked away feeling pretty disappointed after watching this mess. 4/10.🙂

If you're looking to watch someone get taken out with a toothbrush, you've come to the right place. I've seen this trope play out a thousand times and I'll see it a thousand more. It's a classic: the moody, sexy hitman.☕

It’s pure action in the classic sense—none of that over-the-top modern digital nonsense....

My favorite part is the 80s setting... plenty of vintage cars... no cell phones, no gadgets, no lap fucking tops.👍

Clive Owen is solid, Jason Statham is decent enough... and Robert De Niro is better than he's been in most of his recent stuff.

Overall, it works!!

Totally agree.👍
Training Day (2010) in Movies ·
This is hands down the best movie out right now. I still remember watching Elite Squad and being completely floored by how intense the action was. Honestly, I used to think Americans only made movies about samba. While Elite Squad 2 isn't quite on the level of the first one, it’s still a solid watch. They seriously need to get the actor who played Nascent to join the cast for The Expendables 2. 🙂

Nice. I haven't made it to the theater to see it yet, but I’ve already heard some killer feedback from a few friends. Kids' movies are always a win, and it’s honestly great that he managed to get the little ones into the seats. The whole idea to go with an adaptation is genius—if it hits the spot for the popcorn crowd, sequels are basically a done deal. Bravissimo!🙏

It's even more obvious that everyone just has different tastes.☕
Johnny English Reborn in Movies ·
The movie is just your standard James Bond parody that we've all seen a thousand times before. If you're a fan of Atkinson, you can stick it out until the credits roll just to see him on screen. But honestly, everyone else is going to be pretty disappointed. ☕
The Other Guys (2010) in Movies ·
Every time Will Ferrell shows up on screen, I lose it. This was exactly what I was looking for. Seriously good. Mark Wahlberg killed it, too. But that scene with Samuel L. Jackson and Rock? That was the highlight for me. I totally didn't see that coming. I’m still cracking up just thinking about it.🤣10/10, just like all of Will Ferrell's movies.👍
Tucker & Dale vs. Evil (2010) in Movies ·
Yeah, that movie is definitely intense. Once we started getting the party going, I jumped right in and had a blast. For me, the best part was when those kids were running through the woods and how that first one went down. I absolutely lost it. Honestly, the rest of it is hilarious too. I just wish they hadn't gone with that romantic ending. If it didn't end like that, it would’ve been a total masterpiece.👍
The Way Back (2010) - new Peter Weir film in Movies ·
It’s a solid watch based on a true story, and honestly, the acting from everyone involved is top-tier. If you’re into this kind of stuff, you’ll dig it. Just don't go in expecting some massive Hollywood action spectacle—you'll be disappointed. It’s a slower burn about people just trying to survive. To be real, it’s actually a bit tedious when you think about it. Walking halfway across the globe isn't exactly peak entertainment either. It's pure drama.👍
