Fuj! What a total waste of time. Honestly, just gross. The second movie was actually solid, so I went in expecting this one to be at least decent, but instead, it’s even worse than the first one. 😵
Honestly, this one is a bit much, even for Arnold Schwarzenegger. The plot development is so ridiculous you can't even relax and enjoy it. I liked the ending a little, but everything leading up to it was just too predictable. Right now, Sly is doing much better with his comeback films. 🙂
I honestly can’t believe this movie didn't walk away with even a single Oscar Wilde. It’s easily the best drama I've seen in years. Pure cinema. If I consider watching intense dramas a hobby, then this one is a total knockout. The acting is top-tier.🙂
Jamie Turner80 said:Sorry, maybe I didn't word that right. I mean Bob Dylan as a paradigm—exactly what you were getting at—not Bob Dylan as a specific songwriter or guy. It's about the scene in development, right before everything exploded. It's totally possible I just missed him back then, or maybe he was just one of many anonymous folk revival losers chasing a break. And honestly, the Coen brothers might have just tucked him into the deep background of the club scene to drive home the whole point of Llewyn Davis.
Man, did you seriously fall asleep right at the end of the movie and miss Dylan's cameo?🤷
I don't think you're overthinking it—the Gorfeins definitely are the parents of his late friend.
Obviously they are. If you watch the scene where he looks up their number in the book, it's pretty clear they share the same last name as his dead buddy. There’s no way he’d be letting them crash at his place constantly and welcoming him with open arms if there wasn't a connection.🙂
Bottom line. This movie is way too much about boxing for Sly! If he’s gonna make a film like this, it really ought to be Rocky. This whole thing just doesn't make sense—it feels like they're just out there grabbing cash. A total disaster. 🙂
I was honestly counting down the minutes until this slog finally ended. I can’t even remember the last time I sat through something this boring in a theater. What a complete disaster. Just gross. I actually feel a bit sick knowing I wasted my time on this.🙂🙂
Definitely an interesting concept, but the execution is totally lackluster. I’m with you on the movie translation being absolutely terrifying. I honestly have no clue how anyone manages to mess up a script that badly. 🙂
Feels like he hasn't been acting much lately. He’s just nowhere to be found! The last thing I really remember him doing was being in Zombieland. I was dying laughing when he showed up as the only guy who hadn't turned into a zombie! Can't wait to see whatever new masterpiece he drops next. 🙂
Personally, the soundtrack is killer. As soon as I hear the Velvet Underground, I'm sold. They always lean on them when there's heroin involved, but hey, that's just how junkies roll. The title pretty much tells you exactly what's going down. It’s got this slow-burn vibe where Brad Pitt just systematically takes out the crew. The acting is top-tier across the board. I found it interesting how they bring up using dogs as a side hustle for criminals—kind of like a nod to Seven Psychopaths. It's probably just a stylistic choice. Overall, the movie isn't exactly a masterpiece. I get why some people were a bit harsh on it. 🙂
I honestly don't get how anyone could make a movie about a family being torn apart at Auschwitz and fail to trigger even a shred of sadness. Instead, I was just sitting there feeling thrilled, practically counting down the minutes until the credits rolled. It was a terrible film. Boring, half-baked, and the characters were so one-dimensional you couldn't care less about them if you tried. 🙂
Absolute bottom of the barrel. This movie doesn't even deserve its own soundtrack. It was honestly painful. I almost died of boredom watching what’s supposed to be an action flick. This definitely should have stayed off the big screen. 🙂
I managed to dig up most of it, but I can't find the ambassador anywhere to save my life. Whatever, though. Moving on. Everyone needs to check out the alphabet of fear!🙂
Inspired by this thread, I just rewatched *The Alphabet of Fear* and *Dr. Madness*. Honestly, *The Alphabet of Fear* is a top-tier thriller. Absolute masterpiece. I hadn't seen it in ages and totally forgot how good it actually is. The acting is incredible—especially the secondary villain. That guy was a genius. *Dr. Madness* didn't hit quite as hard, but it’s still an interesting watch. The whole concept of a movie set entirely in a psychiatrist's waiting room is brilliant. Anyway, moving on. I can't find that *Ambassador* film anywhere. Help!🙂
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYIKK1pl41E This one's easily my favorite of his. I honestly try to block out that movie about Danube City—it’s just too heavy—so I focus on his later work instead. But looking back, most of his films are genuinely top-tier. 🙂
I actually took a bit of a tumble while watching this movie. Didn't think I'd be getting injured just sitting there watching an action flick. Honestly, it was one of the worse movies I've seen lately. Super predictable and boring. 🤷

You definitely need to watch his other work too. It's basically identical to Midnight in Paris when it comes to the whole Rome vibe. Really easy on the eyes and ears. 🙂
I don't get what people think was missing from that final shootout on the bridge. To me, it was pure perfection. Especially that part where the big guy takes him out with total professional precision. 🙂
