Chris Morgan67 said:Look, let's be real—psoriasis can definitely be a nightmare in about 5% of cases, but calling it some unbearable, life-shattering catastrophe? Day, please...
It’s totally normal to live your life just fine with it, and it absolutely does NOT mean you have to give up on your dreams of motherhood.

That's exactly what I was saying! ☕

help😢

From everything I’ve read in medical journals, only about 2-3 percent of people worldwide deal with active psoriasis. Even though maybe 10 percent of the global population carries the gene, most people never actually trigger it... so the chances of your little one getting it are actually pretty low! 😳
Regardless, I truly believe psoriasis should never be the reason you give up on motherhood... ☕

placidpanther12 said:This is actually my first winter without peeling! My hands just have some pale spots left, and my legs are still a tiny bit red. I've been using a soap, cream, and Dead Sea salt soak

That sounds like a great idea, I'm heading out to grab some 🙏 🙏

For me, La Roche-Posay thermal water worked wonders this summer 👍 It cleared up that redness right before the flaking started within just a few hours! It’s honestly amazing, especially for sensitive areas like your face, chest, and so on...

La Roche-Posay
Legend has it that the healing properties of the La Roche-Posay spring were discovered by accident over 250 years ago. Back in 1743, Marquis de Rocozels built the first La Roche-Posay springs, which were officially recognized as a dermatological hydrotherapy center in 1874. The modern era for the brand kicked off in 1975 when the Sainte-Odila spring was acquired by the Pierre Fabre pharmaceutical house. Since then, their researchers have been running biological, pharmacological, and clinical studies to dive deep into the therapeutic benefits of this spring water. Based on all those findings, the La Roche-Posay dermatological labs developed Eau Thermale La Roche-Posay—a full line of dermo-cosmetic products dedicated to sensitive skin care and treating acne, dryness, and aging...

You can find whatever you need from La Roche-Posay at basically any local pharmacy. It's a seriously awesome line, and they don't use any nasty chemical ingredients 👍

In that commercial, I think it was actually the first time I ever saw Leonardo DiCaprio look like a grown man... ☕
Now that both he and Djimon Hounsou have landed nominations and an Oscar, I’m really getting hooked on this movie! 🙏

Timothy Jackson6 said:I’ve been using Psorcutan 5 for about 5 or 6 days now and (knock on wood!) it really works. The redness is way down, everything is thinner, and the scaling is gone. I'm super happy with it so far! (knock on wood...) Not that I'm superstitious or anything, but still... :-)

I'm so glad to hear that! 😁
BUT I really hope that cream has some long-term effects. For me, the scaling disappears overnight—and the redness from the Elocom goes away too—but then after a few days, everything just pops right back up. It seems to happen especially when my immune system takes a hit from stress, a cold, or monthly cycles... 🙄
The only thing that truly clears my symptoms up is vacationing and soaking up the sun at the beach (plus swimming, obviously!). After that, I don't need any creams until spring, and even then, not if I manage to keep my immune system steady during the winter... 😛

max123 said:I always forget to ask this: Does anyone have experience using tanning beds?
Any pros or cons?
Emergence?

I hit up a standing tanning bed pretty regularly from late winter through summer because it really helps me out.
Honestly, I don't get why anyone at a salon would need to know if I have psoriasis or not? 😕 First off, I'm not walking around naked in the shop, and second, it's not contagious, so I don't feel obligated to disclose anything. 😳
I stick to medium settings and never stay in longer than 10 minutes. It’s never caused me any issues, just like regular summer sunning...👍

[QUOTE = Malady] My doctor asked if I had any underlying health issues, and I just told her about my psoriasis—that’s really it. But then I found out the local hospital is actually running low on O+ blood!

This is honestly terrifying... 👎

I was wondering if anyone here has experimented with specific teas or herbal supplements designed to support liver health?
The theory is that everything happening on our skin is linked back to the liver—so that would include psoriasis too...☕
