Man... If the trailer is already looking this messy, I'm not even wasting my money on a movie ticket. 😁

Vorkosigan said:(Jack Harris3, you got twenty bucks?)

I’m broke, but hey, you’ve clearly got some cash on you. 😂

As for the rest, Walter already gave you an answer.
I'm moving on to Zen, specifically looking at those Chinese philosophies... feels like there might actually be some truth to it all after all... 😂

Wait, what was it you asked? What tool am I using? Budin. 😁
Just gonna sit here under a tree and wait for things to ripen...

dustyscout53 said:Is this thread actually about growing spiritually through reading books, or is it more about what we've lived through?

For me, it’s always been built on the foundation of Alan Ford. 😁

Why wouldn't you? I mean, small talk is basically how we connect... it's fundamental communication. 😂

northernfalcon30 said:I saw this German woman the other day—wearing pants pulled way up right under her bust.😁
Why on earth would she feel embarrassed about that!?😉

Is it just me? 😁
It’s not even about being embarrassed...

It's just that I can't stand pants where the waistband isn't actually at my waist.
They bother me, they're uncomfortable, they're just gross...
I actually have a pair I bought once because the legs looked so amazing I couldn't resist. I thought maybe I'd get used to them. I put them on one time, and they've been sitting in my closet for two years now.
And honestly, I'll probably just toss them eventually since I don't know anyone I could pass them off to.
Unless I think of donating them to the Red Cross before they go straight into the trash... 🙂

Joshua Foster5 said:Do you guys honestly think it’s impossible?

I personally think so. I mean, every "good side" has a dark side, and let's be honest, most people find that part way more interesting... 😁
As for what anyone is missing, GPes, I don't see being some mystic out in Tibet as particularly appealing. Sure, they might be spiritually fulfilled, but I suspect it's mostly just on a surface level—you know, through religion and old myths.

Who cares, though? As long as they're happy.
Besides, your take isn't much more realistic than theirs, really... 😂
It all sounds a bit too much like a Utopia to me... 😁

Joshua Foster5 said:I’ve always felt that the most spiritually evolved people—if you ask me, anyway, based on my own taste and how I define "evolution"—are those living out in the middle of nowhere. You know, tucked away in nature, far from the city, mostly free from all that modern civilization clutter... but still actually having enough to eat without spending every waking second scavenging. The only downside to them is that they aren't really plugged into the latest flow of information and knowledge.

🙂

Seriously, go back and read that again. 😁

It’s YOU who's missing something. Not them. 😂

You're clearly suffering from Jebeniposten syndrome. 😛

Oops, looks like Musica was thinking along the exact same lines... 😁

And honestly, self-improvement isn't always about adding more stuff to your life. Usually, it's just about stripping away everything that doesn't matter...
V.

Hmm... If someone decides to go totally elemental and tosses out everything else, then logically, they lose interest in anything complex.
I feel like that kind of person eventually becomes pretty dull—just uninterested and mentally stagnant. They stop driving themselves; if you want to talk about anything even slightly complicated, you have to push them to care because there's just no internal spark left...

If I ever run into someone like that, I'll have to ask whether they're more frustrated by the world around them, or if the world is more frustrated by them. 😂

And I honestly can't stand high-waisted jeans. Does anyone actually know if they're ever going to make denim again where the waist sits at the same spot it does on me?...😢

Thanks for giving my opinion another spin and making it sound like yours... 😛

plavva said:... is it the power of thought or just pure feeling?

I think it's worth sitting with those feelings for a bit. 😁

Why even stress over which tool works better? There isn't some one-size-fits-all solution out there, so honestly... just use whatever you've got on hand when the moment calls for it. 😁
Also, if we’re really trying to pin down an answer to what’s actually "more important," you aren't going to find one single truth. It all comes down to who you are. Some people lean heavily on logic, while others follow their gut... and that's just how it works. Whatever carries more weight for you, that's what's "better."
But that's just my two cents. 😉

hollowviper72 said:*I* think you're just bitter because I'm a moderator. Since we're playing the guessing game here... 🙂

Is it "you" as in yourself, or "you" as in someone else? 😁
Either way, you're wrong. 😂

But honestly, what did you even do? I know you deleted some random little image.
What else happened? 🤔
Surely all this drama isn't really over one tiny picture...

hollowviper72 said:They actually asked me to be a moderator here... I was nominated during the selection process.

Honestly, you remind me of Stepinac.
It’s the same deal—he was proposed for Archbishop, and once the government started digging through the paperwork... well, he served on the Mexican Front, he was calm, hardly made a scene... basically, they figured he wouldn't cause any trouble and would just go along with whatever suits them. Sure, why not let him do it.

Buahaha! 😁

Don't sweat it too much, though... you might just end up being canonized in the end. 😁

Joe. Yeah, let's just wait for everyone else to chime in with their take so we can get an even clearer picture. 😁

Just kidding, mostly... 😉

And honestly, I'm not trying to be critical here at all... 😁

boldsailor32 said:No, hollowviper72. You can say whatever you want to say...

But what you’re actually chasing is power.

The ability to pull the strings on people.

He didn't take kindly to that. 😂
Let's see how he reacts to my take on things.
Personally, I don't think he gives a damn about anyone else; they're just background noise to him.
It's all about himself at the end of the day. 😁

Alexander Parker69 said:Actually, it’s the exact opposite. The real trick is just learning how to stop taking yourself so damn seriously.

hollowviper72, look, I'm giving you some genuinely decent advice here. 😁
The kind of stuff you probably won't listen to anyway, but hey, it's there if you need it... 😂

since you guys can't even get close to jet propulsion🙂

And who’s actually going to do that for me? 😛
I'm in no rush at all. Are you?... 😁

Gaudrath, are you absolutely sure a glider is actually using the wind, rather than just being dragged along by it?
Or maybe he just got bored and built the thing just to have something to occupy his time... just so he could find some sense in all that blowing around... 😁

Baphomet said:A sailboat is just like... a motorboat 😁

Not really. A motorboat doesn't give a damn whether the water is calm or rough.
But a sailboat? It's entirely at the mercy of the wind. If you hit a storm or if the breeze just dies out completely, you're basically looking at an "unplanned landing" pretty much immediately. 😁

Listen, kid, you’re nothing but skin and bones right now. 😁

But tell me... didn't John finally see the light when he hit rock bottom?

Gaudrath, you know exactly what needs to be done now. 😁
