Let's vote for a Psychology subforum! in Feedback & Suggestions ·
John Walker74 said:Alright folks...

Let’s cut the fluff and get straight to the point. Give me your honest thoughts!

ARE YOU IN FAVOR OF A PSYCHOLOGY SUBFORUM?

You don't even really need to comment; you can probably figure out the benefit of having a dedicated space for psychology just by using those precious gray cells of yours..
😁 🙂

Isn't psychology a science? Why shouldn't it be handled under the Science subforum?
That would be like asking for a specific math or biology subforum.

If we're talking about self-help, general venting, or life advice, then sure, that belongs in US, ZK, Miscellaneous, or Kids, depending on what the topic actually covers.

Pes... do I seriously need to slide into your DMs again to get through to you?
Come on, give me a paw and promise me you’re actually going to see the doctor next week.

Just stop wasting your energy on idiots and pointless nonsense. 🙂 Google is nothing more than a number you can easily ignore (honestly, I’ve already forgotten mine 😁). You'll get way more use out of knowing your shoe size 🙂 than any score.

Just live your life and stop falling for stupidity.

Look, if you practice those specific tests, sure, you’ll bump up your score—which is what people call an IQ. But let's be real: that number doesn't actually have anything to do with how smart you are.🙂

Look, if you aren't joking 😉 , then your family has some serious issues and certain people probably need professional help.
If you actually want to be realistic, go talk to biologists, psychologists, and actual experts in the field; then you'll see what they really think about IQ scores. 😉

My advice? Just forget all this IQ nonsense and testing. Go ahead and laugh at xxxxxx (autocensored) who fall for this whole commercialized scam. 😉

Enjoy yourself 🙂

I honestly hope I spend my whole life being just as "poor" as he was🙂
by every possible metric.
I couldn't care less what other people think. If they want to pretend they're satisfied because someone else isn't eating at the table—since neither my mom nor I can stand lamb, anyway—then fine, let them have more for themselves...
My old man wouldn't touch poultry, seafood, or any animal unless it was beef. We once got stuck at some local festival where they were spinning lamb skewers over an open flame... he just asked for a slice of bread and some cheese, and the locals practically lost their minds. 😁 He told them he belonged to some mysterious sect and couldn't eat that stuff for religious reasons; everyone started crowding around him, and women and kids from all over the county came out just to get a look at him. 😁 (I guess looking like an outsider makes you seem pretty exotic, which probably added to the whole vibe).

To be clear, nobody in my family is actually a vegetarian, vegan, or anything like that. We aren't huge meat eaters and don't go overboard with it (unlike Dad—Mom and I will eat chicken or fish whenever we feel like it). Nobody knows what specific sect my family belongs to. 🙂
Physiologically speaking, we’re basically the United Nations.

Ashley Vaughn79 said:I’ve actually thought about moving things around, but honestly, this schedule works perfectly for my upcoming weekend. I’m assuming my period starts Sunday morning—which sucks, but whatever—and then my last day should be Thursday. That means Friday and Saturday will be totally clear! 😁

I know, I know, I’m overcomplicating things where I don't need to... but that's just how I am. 🙂

Man, if your period lasted from Monday through Friday, you'd basically have every single weekend wide open. 😉

I don't really get it—why haven't you tried switching up the order you take your pills? Maybe adding a little break in between would help? You should probably check with your doctor before messing with anything, though; don't just wing it on your own. It seems like an easy fix so that your "scheduled time" doesn't keep landing on Saturday nights when it's clearly not convenient for you.

It isn’t just some abstract "psychological thing," either. How your body heals and how much you actually feel pain—which really comes down to your actual tissue and nerve receptors—is completely unique to you.
Seriously, go talk to a doctor. And if yours doesn't take you seriously, find another one. Nobody should have to just sit there and endure unnecessary pain...

Tufir II said:Is it actually possible for women to weaponize accusations of harassment?

Of course it’s possible. Why wouldn't it be? Women can be malicious too, unfortunately. And because of incidents like that, the people who are actually being victimized end up having a much harder time being believed.😢
the Sale boss said:What do you guys think? Is this the start of some kind of "biological warfare"?

Unfortunately, I didn't catch the full news report about an hour ago (dammit, I'm such a klutz 😁), but I thought I heard something along the lines of a sub-virus appearing for which there’s no cure, and that some scientists—maybe in Germany?—think this outbreak isn't just a coincidence. Something like that, anyway. 🙄

The only thing I don't get is why specifically from Asia... and who on earth is running experiments over there 😕

Nature handles engineering far more frequently and successfully than we ever will. 🙂 Honestly, I have no clue if this is happening naturally or if humans had a hand in it, but I'm inclined to side with the good Biochemist. 😁

Then again, there are definitely labs running in Asia: China, Korea... we simply don't know enough about what any of them are actually working on.
(For instance, did you know they have Ebola in Novosibirsk? I saw photos, and it's quite a beautiful sight 🙂 )

In my opinion, if you wait 15 minutes, more than 50% of them are probably still alive (how many exactly?).

Stomach acid is what’s going to kill them, not saliva. If I remember correctly, saliva sits at around a pH of 5.5—which is supposedly the sweet spot for lysozyme activity. On top of that, I’m pretty sure the semen itself (that whole mixture being expelled) has enough of a buffering effect to compensate. Is it slightly alkaline? I can't recall the exact number off the top of my head. Honestly, I think you could shout quite a bit before things get problematic... though I wouldn't know exactly how much. The real question here should actually be what the half-life of 😉
looks like.

p.s. thank god Kiki made it back from Thailand in time..🙂 😁
it was Thailand, wasn't it?

I am. I've been traveling quite a bit these past few weeks—airports are basically breeding grounds for contamination—and right now I'm actually in a country bordering Germany where it's already showing up...

Nike said:Yeah, I’m definitely more on board when someone's being an asshole rather than just a complete jerk 🙄 😁

Yeah, sure, you're right... actually, I think I prefer the "asshole" vibe even more... though honestly, calling someone a total prick is still the gold standard... 😁

I mean, strictly looking at how we use those terms... 🙄 😁 😉

Alright, so we can officially wrap this up (most of you have already conceded, so, my bad)—it's settled: being a "jerk" is worthless, while being an "asshole" or a "prick" is perfectly acceptable. Either way...

Which is just as much about character as anything else.😁

Anyway, I actually prefer the term butt over ass. To me, "ass" carries this weird, pathological connotation.🙄
