When an experienced lady like that speaks, who are we to second her judgment?

Don't be so impatient; just wait until the guys with the long barrels roll into town.
As rustydrifter10 so eloquently put it, if you're only looking at the ones with short barrels, you're missing out on the real show.

Since there aren't any villains left in Park City besides darkmarlin16—whom I'm sure a furious Pat will deal with eventually
, I say we head out to San Francisco or somewhere else where there might actually be a little more action.

Bravo. I’m genuinely looking forward to seeing what comes next.
Alonso blinded Mark Webber just a little bit, and the penalty was handed out immediately.
Honestly, imagine how many penalties would be handed out if someone pulled something like this today:

frozenheron7 said:It really caught me off guard how Mark Webber's car gave up on him while Vettel didn't face any issues at all. Is this actually the first time that's happened? 😁

Does anyone know how many times Michael Schumacher's car broke down compared to Rubens Barrichello's?
And more importantly, how often did the pit crew prioritize one over the other when things started going south?
Jason Campbell70 said:Where was that Schumacher-level Vettel during the first half of last season, back when the car wasn't even close to being competitive?

You'll have to take up that argument about what happened two years ago with someone else.
I made it quite clear in my write-up for today's race that he drove it beautifully.
Jason Campbell70 said:It’s basically what Jenson Button was doing back in '09... at least during the first half of that season.

Now, one half of a season might be a fluke or just some "miracle" run, but four seasons in a row? That can only be called a fluke by biased Ferrari fans who refuse to see reality.
The sooner you all accept certain truths, the easier it'll be for you.
Honestly, watching Sebastian Vettel like this is just rubbing salt in the wound. And I mean the really coarse stuff.
He absolutely dominated this race in true Michael Schumacher fashion, putting down laps that were consistently within a tenth of each other.
You can say whatever you want about the car or the technical specs, but the man drove
this entire race without making a single mistake.
Looks like it’s SC again for

Jason Campbell70 said:But seriously, how is it that Michael Schumacher never faced this much backlash, especially in such an "outrageous" way?
Are you suggesting it's just because Schumacher's fans have always been the majority?

Is the issue really just the sheer ratio of Ferrari fans compared to everyone else?

Because, let's be honest, Vettel drove a flawless race—absolutely perfect, without causing any unnecessary drama or damage.
It was a clean, sporting, fair, and totally legitimate win.
Yet the crowd is booing and chanting "A-LON-SO, A-LON-SO."

There is clearly something rotten about the way people are treating Vettel.
Especially considering he gets the same treatment in the US, in Europe, and even over in Asia.

Just look at the grandstands today—or any other race, for that matter. You see plenty of Red Bull Racing flags, Williams', Force India, and Toro Rosso. There are a few McLaren's flags here and there, but that's about it.
So please, don't try to tell me that Ferrari's fanbase isn't triple the size of all the others combined.
I’ll believe that about as readily as I’d believe TBF1 when they claim that RB isn't currently the dominant car on the grid.
Jason Campbell70 said:The way fans react when a fraud gives a podium interview tells you everything you need to know about how much they actually value Vettel's wins and titles.

Honestly, even Schumacher was more engaging; races used to be even duller than today's, yet he never got away with it quite like this fraud does.

And I suspect there might be a reason for that. 🤷

Sure, I'm sure over 70% of the entire world consists of Red Bull fans.
Those fans are incredibly "objective"—they clearly see that Vettel only clinches championships because he's fueled by some specific energy drink. Meanwhile, those very same fans will cheer for Alonso because they recognize him as a superhuman driver, even if he ends up driving for their absolute worst enemy.

So, Vettel finished his stint right after the first chicane.
Everything else was just pure execution. He drove exactly at the pace required.
After the pit stops, he managed to maintain a gap of about 10-12 seconds, and that was really all there was to it.
If he had needed to go faster, he would have pushed. When he didn't need to, he backed off.
As Amanda Kelly mentioned here, the tires became much more consistent, and we aren't seeing those massive 3-4 second drops in a single lap anymore.

stormybadger8, please don't mess around with those Ferrari gaps at the end of the race.
What do you mean, 5.5 seconds at the finish?
Alonso only gained 3 or 4 seconds on that last lap because Vettel completely backed off right before the checkered flag.
When Vettel was actually driving at pace, the gap stayed consistently over 10 seconds.
Honestly, his pit wall was practically begging him over the radio to slow down just a bit, which is why Alonso managed to close in.
And even then, it wasn't much—maybe a 2-second difference over about 10 laps at most.

But what if Felipe Massa already knows he’s been given the green light and decides to push back just a little?
We’ll find out today. If Felipe Massa decides to be difficult on the track, leaving the pit crew to
clean up the mess, then by Wednesday we'll know exactly who the new drivers at Ferrari will be.
On the other hand, if he acts like his usual self, he’s probably still holding onto hope that he’ll keep his seat.
