Matthew Thompson6 said:The food itself isn't poison. It’s just that it contains toxins—artificial dyes and stuff like that. Fasting gives your digestive tract and your whole body a break, which lets it focus on self-repair and flushing out those toxins.

Well, you don't necessarily need to fast for that. Like Atlanta and I mentioned earlier, you can just eat clean, toxin-free food to detox your system.

I guess there's a middle ground somewhere between stuffing your face with donuts and total fasting.😉

Are you actually sure fasting is even healthy?
A lot of things we once labeled as "wellness trends" turned out to be total nonsense.
I suspect fasting might be on that list.

There’s a different way to look at this—just stop eating processed junk if you're trying to detox.

For instance: stick to whole foods—fruit, veggies, rice, fish, whatever.
Avoid the processed stuff—things like bread (since it's just ground wheat), mayo, canned goods, cookies, chips, and so on.

Let them try whatever they want. I’ve got my Madison Square Garden goggles and I’m perfectly happy.

I don't know about those Madison Square Garden ones, but I've tried Nike and Tyr and they just aren't as good as Speedo.

Don't bother with the cheap stuff—you know, the ones with basic elastic and that cheap foam feel... everything else is fine, I guess, but you're mostly just paying for the logo. Aim for a mid-range price point.
Maybe try on five or six different styles to see what actually fits without pinching or anything.
Personally, I've always been super happy with Speedo goggles in the $15-$20 range, even if I lose them constantly.

$15.00 USD = $15.00 USD
$20.00 USD = $20.00 USD

It’s Speedo. Just Speedo.
Don't bother with the cheapest ones—you know, the ones with the basic elastic and that cheap foam feel. They aren't worth it. The rest seem fine, I guess. Honestly, you're probably just paying extra for the branding at that point. A mid-range price is probably the sweet spot.
Maybe try testing five or six different models first. Just see which one actually fits. You want to make sure nothing is pinching or digging in anywhere. I guess it's worth the effort.
I’ve always been pretty happy with Speedo goggles in that $15–$20 range. I guess they just work.

$11.00 USD = $7.50 roughly, I guess. Maybe. Just a quick conversion.
$14.50 USD = $11.00 approx. I guess. Maybe.

I'm just saying it's all about his own skin in the game... I mean, if he recruits someone, he wins directly.

His goal is purely to get rich; so, I’d argue it isn't that other people's interests took over, it's more like they're just using other people's methods.

I suspect anyone who jumps into Multi-level marketing wasn't suddenly turned into a jerk; they were probably already jerks, and the MLM just helped them lean into it.

Honestly, I think the companies benefit way more than the people ever will. They get free labor—no salary, no benefits... which is why these Multi-level marketing outfits rely on brainwashing and empty promises to hunt for new marks. You basically have to be either incredibly naive and easy to manipulate, or just straight-up crooked to join 😲

6. An obsessive hyperactivity revolving around the leader’s agenda, where the group's mission clearly takes precedence over anyone's actual personal goals or individual needs.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hyperactivity focused entirely on the group or leader's agenda, seemingly prioritizing their program over all personal objectives or interests.

Multi-level marketing works by masking its own motives behind yours... using lines like, "just imagine what you could buy" or "do you really want to retire on a pittance?" etc.
So, this rule doesn't quite fit the typical Multi-level marketing model, because they hide their true aims behind your own desires. I guess you have to decide if that's better or worse than religious cults.

Honestly, this describes MacGregor perfectly. He’s obsessively fixated on Herbalife and cellular nutrition—that's all he talks about. He doesn't even post in other subforums about personal interests or anything else; it's strictly Health, and specifically just HL and cellular nutrition.😲
Hey everyone, we were discussing the Herbalife cult phenomenon and the psychology behind it.
MacGregor, I guess you don't even realize you've been brainwashed.
I mean, do you notice how you don't talk about anything except HL anymore?

ten warning signs regarding People involved in / with a potentially unsafe Group / leader : 1. Extreme obsessiveness regarding The Group / leader resulting in The exclusion of almost every practical consideration

1.
Extreme obsessiveness regarding The Group / leader resulting in The exclusion of almost every practical consideration.

2.
The lines between one's own identity, the group, the leader, and even God start to blur. In a follower's head, these things just fuse together—the longer they stay involved, the more it happens.

3.
Any criticism or questioning directed at the group or its leader is immediately labeled as "persecution."

4.
Conversations and manners become strangely rigid and scripted, with people basically cloning the group or leader's behavior.

5.
Relying entirely on the group or leader for answers, solutions, and life's definitions without actually thinking. It’s like an inability to process anything or think independently without their input.

6.
An intense hyperactivity focused solely on the group's agenda, which somehow ends up being more important than any personal goals or actual interests.

7.
A total loss of spontaneity and a sense of humor.

8.
Increasing isolation fra family and Old friends unless They demonstrate an interest in The Group / leader.

9.
Whatever the leader or group does is always justifiable, no matter how much damage it causes.

10.
Ex-members are viewed as negative or even evil and supposedly "under bad influences." You can't trust them, so you just avoid them altogether.

Warning signs
Herbalife
This outfit relies on a Multi-level marketing setup to move their nutrition and beauty lines. I guess you could say they've picked up a reputation for having Cult-like attributes, all while trying to mask it as a standard business model. To actually make any money or climb the ladder, followers can't just sell products; they have to drag friends and family into the fold, who then recruit even more people to build this massive "distribution network." Critics also point to a Paramilitary-like structure regarding how the company handles internal control. Personally, I think Herbalife just blames all this bad press on market competition and their own massive growth.
I’ve been doing some digging online regarding Multi-level marketing and Herbalife, and honestly, it looks like Herbalife is a straight-up cult. 😲
The Herbalife cult

I actually feel bad for MacGregor; the guy is clearly just a victim of brainwashing by some really seasoned manipulators.
I suppose it’s easy enough for them to find targets in America, given how many people are feeling disillusioned or struggling with unemployment. 😢

What do you guys actually know about these MLM cults—specifically Herbalife—and the whole psychology behind cults and their followers?

Carl Hernandez2 said:What am I even doing here if I’m not judging? I’ve judged three times more than anyone else ever could. I mean, I just ask a girl—why did she let things go that far?
Maybe she didn't use protection in the heat of the moment, or maybe things just broke during the chaos... and now she’s got the biggest passion of all: motherhood.

The thing I've been wondering for a while is this: how does a woman—any age, really—even end up in bed with a guy who, when an unplanned pregnancy happens, just leaves her to deal with it entirely on her own?! Are women just easily led astray? Do they not see what kind of "man" he actually is?

To put it bluntly—why do women sleep with jerks?

Let’s say you and I go to bed. You’d try to teach me how to blend American and English. Then a baby would be born—an American-English hybrid. Just some linguistic stew. 😁

What a total load of nonsense. 🙄
Does anyone here know anything more about the cervical cap contraceptive method?
(I'm not sure what the specific term is in American English.)

I just shared what I think a girl should do, just like most of you guys have done. And then I get called out for it. Since when is it wrong to state what I believe is right?!
I don't get it.😕
Then again, seeing how some girl wrote above—intelligence clearly isn't my strong suit...😁

Ladies, I wish you nothing but plenty of abortions. But only the ones you actually want. I see you all making a distinction between planned and unplanned ones😁 Huh, pretty sad...

I wouldn't have had any problem with your comment about not having an abortion if you hadn't started judging her for "spreading her legs"... that alone would've made anyone reject your "advice," genius.👎
James Newman4 said:Good evening. Was someone looking for me? 👋

Apologies for my "absence," but honestly, I can't believe how much you're all obsessing over this nonsense. You actually think it makes you look younger? 😉 😁

If your comments weren't so ridiculous, they might actually be stupid instead of just funny.. 😁

Come to a lecture on cellular nutrition next week and see who’s actually more clueless—you or me? (I could even measure your body fat percentage for you)... 😉 👍

Didn't your grandma tell you to eat more carrots so you could see better? 😕 😁

I'm out.
James Newman4, you're a total psycho. 😢
Amanda Turner70 said:haha, both those examples make about as much sense as mixing goat hair with menthol...

No offense intended, but that 🙄 😉

@Anthony Rodriguez58: sure, why don't you just tone down what you said? 🙂

Please, stop suffocating us with these kindergarten jokes.🙄
Amanda Turner70 said:So then...

Make up your mind—are you defending him or are you against him? You can't say don't touch him and then turn around and bash him... 😕 😕

He started out talking about water and ended up selling Herbalife...

Look, if you aren't getting it, I think it's pretty stupid for someone to attack James Newman4 without any actual reason.
Regarding the water thing, it makes zero sense... and I wasn't bashing James Newman4, per se. I was just giving him an example of how those kinds of posts just irritate everyone else (specifically when he starts talking about Herbalife).

PS:
I've sat through a few of those Multi-level marketing meetings with my husband—he just can't seem to resist their pitch. Honestly, I have to tell you, they all feel exactly the same to me. The only difference is that these guys don't shout "HALLELUJAH" at you. I just can't imagine them doing that...
What is even the point of MLM marketing, besides securing cheap labor without health insurance, steady pay, or any actual benefits?😕
Or maybe that's exactly the point?
