Well, you know, I’ve never really struggled with gastritis before. I used to be able to eat just about anything, whenever the mood struck. But I suppose there comes a point where you have to start being careful. It isn't exactly excruciating pain—in fact, I don't feel much while I'm out and about—but once I settle in at home, the discomfort starts creeping in. Just a nagging unpleasantness. And then there's the lipomas. I have five or six of them. I actually had one removed already. They are mostly concentrated around my abdomen; specifically, there's one small 5mm one, and two on my back. Now... they seem to be reappearing. I doubt it's related to the stomach issues, though. My doctor would likely mention it if there were a connection since I've brought it up before. I'll see how I respond to this current course of medication first. If it doesn't help, I plan to go in for a full battery of tests to figure out what's actually going on. For now, I'm not in any real PAIN, and I sincerely hope it stays that way.
Look, from what I understand—though I’m certainly no medical expert—isn't it gastritis that actually triggers the acid reflux? Is that how it works when you're dealing with heartburn?
Personally, I don't really deal with the acid issue. Instead, I get this uncomfortable ache... it happens when I pull my stomach in, almost like I can't catch my breath. It feels similar to that soreness you get after overdoing it with sit-ups at the gym. Yeah, something along those lines.
Linda Peterson said:I dealt with similar issues a few years back. I was stuck wondering if it was just gastritis or something more serious like an ulcer. Everything finally became clear once I went through the full battery of tests—X-rays, blood work, and eventually testing positive for H. pylori.
If you don't mind me asking, could you elaborate on that a bit?
The discomfort I'm experiencing feels less like typical pain and more like that heavy, bloated sensation you get after an intense workout—you know, that sort of "burden" feeling? It isn't exactly painful, but it is incredibly UNCOMFORTABLE... ugh
My doctor performed an exam and noted there was no tenderness upon palpation, which is why she decided to prescribe these tablets.
Ugh... listen, if that’s just the intestinal tract, what exactly are we looking at when it comes to the stomach area?🙂 Are they actually performing an endoscopy on you?🙂
Sigh.. It’s honestly miserable when I wake up in the morning—usually around 10:00 AM, I suppose—and I can't tell if it's just gastritis. It’s really quite taxing. I've heard people talk about it, but what am I even supposed to eat? Just plain mashed potatoes?🙂 I suppose I just have to hope everything clears up once the medication kicks in..
Lisa Ortiz17 said:Either it's a duodenal ulcer or gastritis. Do you have any pain around your spine? Any nausea? Have you had a gastroscopy yet?
No... My back doesn't hurt, though I suppose it does right now, but it feels more like that heavy ache you get in your lungs...
I think my lungs might be hurting too, maybe because of the weather changing, but those are just guesses. And that gastroscopy—is that the one where they make you drink that chalky liquid? That sounds unpleasant. Hmm...
Well, I just hope this passes soon, regardless of what it is. No, I'm not nauseous. It's just that ugly, dull ache. How can I describe it? It’s uncomfortable. It feels like there's this heavy weight sitting right there...
I had an appointment with my doctor today. I’ve been dealing with these persistent stomach issues—ugh. It’s right in the middle, sort of just below the solar plexus area... if you know what I mean. Not exactly sharp pain, but more of a general discomfort. My physician prescribed some small pills for a month-long course of treatment. Has anyone else here dealt with something similar?

That is always the issue. Lately, I have been making a point to avoid social circles where people smoke. For you, it’s a real struggle since both you and your husband are smokers...🙂 but look... don't give up on yourself..
Well, there really is such an endless supply of movies out there. You can honestly just pick whatever catches your eye whenever you have a moment to spare..
I haven't actually sat down to watch it yet, but looking at that cast on the poster, I get the distinct impression it's meant to be a comedy. 😕 Am I on the right track here?
