Yeah, I definitely have the vibe of someone who isn't trying to flirt. 😬
My mom always knew when I was lying, even when I thought I was being slick. For the longest time, I honestly believed she had some kind of psychic superpower.😁
I have this friend who is absolutely obsessed with non-verbal communication. He picked up some book on the subject and now he thinks he’s an expert—he basically categorizes everyone based on their body language. Like, if I’m just struggling to put on a sandal, he’ll claim I’m unconsciously flirting with him.🤣 It’s honestly pretty ridiculous and narrow-minded. Sure, if we’re both fully locked in and paying close attention during a conversation, you’re going to pick up on those physical cues,😉 and he might make a point. But you have to look at the big picture. There's always more going on beneath the surface than just one gesture.
I just realized that George Taylor94 actually hit the nail on the head just now! 👍
What are those "dream" pills actually called? The link just gives this super fancy, high-level definition, but there isn't a single professional or detailed breakdown of how they actually work.
I've been wearing soft contact lenses for about four years now. Honestly, they’ve never been an issue for me. From the very first day, it felt like I’d been wearing them forever—totally seamless. Getting them in and out was a bit of a struggle at first, though... but after a week, it just became second nature. Still, there were definitely moments where I wanted to throw them across the room after spending 20 minutes wrestling with one tiny little lens.🙄

😲 Some teachers act like moms, others feel more like wicked stepmothers😁 In your case, they were definitely stepmothers.😬 😉

1. When a new teacher showed up suddenly. 2. Someone swiped my toothbrush case—I still remember it because it was the only green one, while everyone else just had plain white ones. 3. Getting sent to the corner because I stood up to some kid who kept stealing my Dragon stickers. Total injustice! 4. That one teacher who always smelled like old sweat.😲 5. My teacher correcting me, saying I had to say "two" instead of how my parents taught me at home.🙂 ...I really shouldn't dig any deeper than that.😁
To be honest, when Lady Gaga first popped up, her music and her whole vibe just totally rubbed me the wrong way. Everything about it. But as I got older, I started to give her work a fair shake, and man, I finally realized how incredible she actually is. For me, Vespertine is the absolute standout—it hits home for me both sonically and lyrically... Lady Gaga might be a bit of an oddball, but she’s an oddball artist, and that's what makes her great.🙂
mistycrane23... man, it’s the end of the month and I am completely tapped out😢 I’m sitting this one out, so I’m really hoping whoever can make it goes...😢 I mean, the ticket itself isn't breaking the bank, but getting my butt all the way to Chicago...😢

I have no clue what the cover charge is, but I’m going regardless... even if I have to show up solo.🙂 When it comes to The Flaming Lips, I’m right there with you on "Deserter Song." It's easily their best work. Honestly, Secret Imagination isn't bad at all—in fact, it’s actually pretty good. I can't wait to see what kind of video backdrop they’ve cooked up. I read somewhere that they picked up a massive collection of old films to loop during the tour. P.S. If you guys end up going, please let me know how it went!
Hey Renton, tickets are going for about $1,200 if you're planning on heading out to NYC. You absolutely have to go. "Deserter's Song" is such a haunting piece. It really hits you right in the gut.🙏 A total masterpiece.

The acting is top-tier, but I wish the script spent a little more time explaining the gaps.
Honestly, I think it works just fine. The whole movie is built on the chemistry between those two leads; everyone else is basically just background noise or scenery. If they had wasted time showing her getting married, having a kid, and all that extra stuff, the movie would've lost its edge and turned into one of those cheesy, cookie-cutter Hollywood rom-coms... The point isn't what she was doing during those gaps—it's that she kept going. He gave her a second chance despite all her self-destructive tendencies, and she took it. That probably helped her pull through, and maybe out of gratitude for that, she chose to stay with him... That’s just how I saw it... 🤔 I might be wrong, but I didn't feel like that part was missing.

I honestly love these old ones most. They were some of the first made, and I think the animation style was way more beautiful back then... plus, I was just a kid, so they hit different emotionally! 😁> I haven't actually seen Fantasia yet... I definitely need to track it down.
I don't think just agreeing with her is the answer, nor is being overly coddling. I get where she's coming from, totally, but if you just validate everything, you're basically fueling that fire of anger she has toward him—and that’s not healthy for her. On the flip side, if you start acting like he's always right, she might just shut you out completely. Try helping her work through those feelings instead. If you can see his side of things, help her see his too, so she can finally make peace with what happened. Right now, she's living in a total nightmare. Just talk to her... a lot. It might feel pretty discouraging at first, but it really does help.
When it comes to doctors, I spiral into paranoia every once in a while... I honestly think they’re just incompetent when they can't find what's actually wrong. It doesn't feel right to be stuck feeling this way all the time. I refuse to accept this as my "new normal"... and I'm really hoping I can find a way to fix this issue. Though, thinking about climate zones, there might be a connection. Living out here on these flat plains isn't doing me any favors. I was raised in the mountains... and even being surrounded by concrete just drains me. 😲
But today the sun is out and there's a nice little breeze blowing... so I'm finally feeling like myself again. 😎
I can see how the teeth brushing thing might be pure neurosis. I can actually sense the agitation and that flash of aggression in her whenever she does it—same goes for when she starts cleaning an apartment that’s already spotless. But this whole obsession with the doors? That's been going on forever. Plus, she’s had these intense, terrifyingly vivid nightmares about intruders breaking in, and I think she has them all the time. It’s possible it's tied back to some old trauma from the war; if I recall, that's around when the nightmares first started.
