I’m heading to Thailand in a few days for some training—been back in Washington, D.C. since March...

I’m impressed. No, seriously. Given how things are looking, you’ve picked up two more clients—and if luck is on your side, one of them might actually be worth the trouble...

Wow, is that something you can actually order? Honestly, I knew a few pregnant women—well, they aren't anymore—who used to go for a massage during their pregnancy just because they were dealing with back pain for the very first time...

Can I book an appointment through you? Do you have a price list available? Also, do you offer massages for guys? (I'm actually asking for my girlfriend—her back is killing her from work—but honestly, I could probably use one too)

It works for me too, but honestly, only during that very first stage when the outbreak starts. If I don't "catch" it early enough—right when that tingling sensation hits my lip—it’s pretty much useless...

That’s because viruses eventually build up a resistance to the cream, so it really only does the trick if you apply it at the absolute earliest sign. And please, don't just smear it on with your fingers—use a Q-tip instead. You need to be precise with the application. If you do use your hands, you absolutely HAVE to wash them thoroughly afterward, otherwise, you're just spreading the virus to other spots...
It feels like you’re still carrying this sense of obligation toward your ex—like it’s some psychological weight holding you back from actually doing those little things that would make you happy. I’m sorry if that sounds harsh, but what kind of breakup is it really if you’re still talking several times a week? You need to cut ties... otherwise, you aren't going to feel truly free for a long time.
Another quick question about sleep in Health ·
I’m pretty sure he isn’t actually getting any rest—sleep apnea is exhausting, even when you think you’re out... it’s just not quality sleep. He should probably grab some rubber earplugs; they actually help. Personally, I only use nasal strips when I’m dealing with a nasty flu or something similar—my girlfriend bought me those plastic ones that are supposed to widen the nostrils to help breathing and cut down on snoring, though I'll have to ask her if they actually worked for her.😁 My mom bought my dad one of those specialized anatomical pillows—the kind designed so those little nasal passages don't get blocked during inhalation or exhalation—and she claims it makes things a bit better.
Matthew Morris28 said:Yeah, I'm curious about this twitching thing during sleep. You know, when the person next to you is out cold, but they just jerk every few minutes and keep right on sleeping. Is that actually a disorder? What's the deal with that?

They call it restless leg syndrome—supposedly the muscles just twitch involuntarily, and it doesn't even wake the sleeper up...

driftingorca9 said:The taste is just okay for me—the white ones seem a bit more flavorful—but I prefer this one because it keeps me full much faster (which is 👍 ).
Plus, it lasts longer.
How does it stack up calorie-wise? One serving of this versus one serving of semi-white feta

Semi-white feta is basically empty calories... sure, it has them, but they aren't exactly useful for anything meaningful.
Eco Mavrovic's feta—now that's actual fuel for your body. It's energy... basically used-up calories working for you.

I mean, if it gets so moldy after just a few days that the stench becomes unbearable... I don't know...

Roger Smith6 said:Hey...

Spent the whole day dealing with massive muscle spasms in my arms after hitting the gym. Should I just bench training entirely until this passes, or push through it at the gym today?

Or maybe just go and play it safe with my arms?

Thanks,
Roger Smith6

This happened because you either overdid it—basically overestimated your own strength—or you skipped a proper warm-up. Just something to keep in mind for your next session. If you actually decide to show up and everything hurts—meaning those muscle fibers are fried—don't touch anything involving your arms. Your muscles are basically in a coma right now and need a day or two to recover. Honestly, if you're truly dedicated to the grind, missing two days isn't going to ruin your progress... you'll still see the results by summer.
Turkey joining the EU in World ·
Sarah James4 said:Cheers to them, I guess—but regarding the economy, I wouldn't exactly be celebrating, considering the exchange rate between the Euro and the Dollar, not to mention the recession hitting the European Union... and as for the American economy and how well it's actually doing, I'd rather not go there...😁

If we're joining the European Union, personally, I don't mind Turkey, nor do I see why I should... I can only imagine what the rest of Western Europe thinks about the inclusion of America and other former America republics into the EU... one could certainly draw some parallels...

A classic mistake made by those pushing for a massive European Union is believing it acts as some kind of magic wand for everything. Unfortunately, a large part of Americans think the same—that simply joining the EU will automatically put more money in every single American's pocket.🙄 They tend to forget the fact that the politicians stay the same, the mindset stays the same, and so on... The whole process of America joining the EU and all the preparations involved (which, let's not forget, cost a fortune—money that America doesn't really have, and if it did, it would be smarter to invest it in healthcare, schools, or daycare...) will likely just leave a struggling America even more broke and heavily indebted. In the end, you're essentially getting a pig in a poke. And finally, I didn't say that *I* mind Turkey, but they aren't going to ask my opinion, are they? Or yours. Unless you happen to hold an EU passport. I don't view the EU as some gift from heaven, or think that nothing better could possibly happen to America.

happygoose said:Why were they given a negotiation date then, if the US gets one too?

Because they’ll join the European Union at the exact same time as the US—which is to say, never, or perhaps when all the actual heavy hitters decide to bail out of an EU that won't even resemble itself anymore... Read between the lines. That specific date they handed out is nothing more than a distraction—just throwing sand in people's eyes. And as for economic ties? Please. The economy functions perfectly fine without all that posturing...

Turkey doesn't actually want to join the European Union—well, they say they do, but the feeling isn't mutual. They have plenty of consumers right where they are without needing the EU, and frankly, the last thing Europe needs is more migration from Turkey into places like Switzerland, Austria, or Germany. Those countries aren't exactly naive...

Beyond the question of whether European citizens would even vote for this, if you actually followed politics, you’d realize that most top leaders are firmly AGAINST letting Turkey in—and they're pretty damn effective at making sure it stays that way. My take? There are already too many countries in the European Union, and the whole thing is starting to lose its purpose. For the US, we don't need more bureaucratic bloat. We need less crime and more honest politicians—that’s what actually matters...

Kanye West said:Here’s how you play it: tell your boss someone in the family is seriously ill and you have to stay home to look after them—but don't be too obvious about it, or they might actually try to follow up...

I actually pulled something similar once—though I only needed a week off—and I had my reasons...

http://www.clubbucks.biz/

But if you want to be smart about it, maybe get Dr. B to have the primary physician write a note so you can officially stay home. Then you're golden.

Honestly, just telling them you've got a massive back spasm is probably a safer bet...

Exactly. There was a phase where she was burning through money on those ridiculous anti-cellulite creams and paying for high-end spa treatments... all of it, total waste. Then, one time, she actually had a bout of food poisoning—claims her legs looked better three months after dealing with that mess than they ever did after all those expensive sessions.🙂 And adrenaline works the same way... we've all been there, riding bikes hard for two hours and then hitting a party that same night, suddenly finding this burst of energy out of nowhere...

As far as winter cycling goes, I just can't do it—I'm as cold-natured as most women, and honestly, the mere thought of getting on a bike in this weather terrifies me. I feel like my nose would just fall off and my eyes would freeze shut...

It is winter, sure, but after those first few minutes, it’s not even theoretically possible to be cold—the movement actually keeps you warm. My girlfriend and I ride like that all the time, even out past the suburbs, provided we have our gloves, scarves, those thermal leggings 😁 and a hat.

Yeah, muesli and those drinkable yogurts—that’s solid stuff on an empty stomach before you dive into your first meal. But what's the deal with Senna?

And honestly, after a big dinner, go for a walk first before settling in with a book... your brain actually functions better when you get some oxygen in your system...😉

Try some dried prunes—or better yet, prune juice—a spoonful on an empty stomach before you eat. You really need to steer clear of anything chocolate, too. As for that advice about drinking black coffee on an empty stomach? That actually helps stop my diarrhea rather than triggering it, provided there's no sugar involved... Just skip the sandwiches and stick to soups instead.

Kimberly Nelson5 said:Every winter, I run into this exact same wall—just a total lack of movement. From spring through autumn, I’m out cycling or skating whenever I get the chance, which keeps me in pretty decent shape, but once those first cold snaps hit, I just shut myself indoors and stay there until spring rolls around. Naturally, I end up packing on a few extra pounds over the winter, and everything just feels... sluggish 😢. I can't really go out for runs because of some old spinal issues, and I don't have the time for organized gym classes—I much prefer working out on my own terms when I actually feel like it. So, I picked up something similar to an Orbitrack (same concept, just a different brand) after reading some threads here where people seemed happy with their results—though I can't seem to find that specific topic anymore 😕. I was hoping someone could give me some advice on how to actually make the most of it so I can see some real progress.

Why don't you just ride your bike in the winter? Sure, it gets chilly, but for me, it's only uncomfortable for the first three minutes. I ride in pretty extreme conditions myself, so I don't really see why it would be an issue to cycle during the winter as long as the roads are dry enough...
