I agree with most of this, but I’m not part of that knowledge zone 🙂
But one thing remains...
...since I’m already digging through old threads...😉
You wrote that you ate
'steamed vegetables (a bit of everything—peas, broccoli, carrots, green beans, cauliflower) and quick-seared chicken breast dessert—a banana and an apple'
A banana has 3 carb blocks, and an apple has 2. So, combined with the veggies at lunch, you actually ate at least 6 carb blocks!!!!
How much chicken did you even eat then? Like three whole birds???

I actually went back through my sister's cookbooks and realized this is basically how we've always prepared meals at home. As for the local cafeteria, we didn't even have a clue about this stuff until recently.😉
I don't know how you all make this look so easy; maybe you’re just using some oversimplified version 😉 of the plan, because she actually cooks her meals and brings them to work... there's really no way to eat like that 'on the go'.
As for that whole hand/palm/thumb measurement thing, I'd suggest weighing everything at first. I have yet to see 100 grams of meat that actually looks like the size of a normal palm. Maybe a single slice of deli turkey, if you're lucky.
I’ve already asked her a few times in the weight loss thread exactly when she plans to start eating something again, and more importantly, what she’s actually drinking. 😉😁
She'll just head to her primary care physician, describe the symptoms, and more than likely, the doctor will send her straight to get some standard testing done first.
