Oh, please! 😍 Just go for it!!!! I truly believe if you had another little one, it would be just as sweet as your own sibling—whether that's an older brother or a sister, honestly, it doesn't even matter 😍
@Larry Edwards3
My own experience was quite similar to yours... my first pregnancy occurred around day 25, whereas the second one happened on either day 7 or perhaps day 11—even though my cycles have always been incredibly consistent at exactly 30 days. I suppose anything is possible when it comes to these things...

When you order a cake, do you usually have to put down a deposit or 😕
if so, how much is standard?

I'm thinking about ordering one from Little Corner...

Thanks 🙏

We actually ordered our wedding cake from a small local bakery once, and the owner was incredibly gracious, telling us we could leave whatever tip we felt like, though it certainly wasn't required 😉—so we didn't leave anything extra at the time. We initially reserved our date back in February for an August wedding, then spent May finalizing all the specific flavors and details, even making a few minor adjustments just two weeks before the big day... yet, we didn't settle the full balance until a month prior to the ceremony.

I really can't say enough good things about that little bakery. 🙂

If you give The Cookie Jar, I’m not entirely certain if they can pull it off within a three-day window, but their cakes look absolutely phenomenal—especially those birthday treats for kids, judging by the photos they post. We were actually looking to order a wedding cake from them, but moving forward, we’ll likely be turning to them for all our birthday celebrations and such.
Do you happen to have the link to their site? It was right before this one 😉

Anthony Mendoza512, I thought you might find this useful, so here is the link to the page for Little Puppy Cookies .😉 It shows the phone number right there, along with some lovely photos of their treats http://www.malakucakolaca.com/.

Anthony Mendoza512, I shall send those over to you this evening... I don't have them on hand at this exact moment... but rest assured, I will process them with the utmost care for you. 😉

🙂 You can certainly expect the same level of hospitality from me once I finally get settled into my new place in NYC 😬. I think I’ll just order the miniature version of that wedding cake 😁.

Oh, my dear, I cannot begin to express how incredibly grateful I am to you, and truly, all our guests were just as appreciative! 😬 Every single person remarked on how absolutely delicious the cake was—honestly, they were actually asking for second helpings! From now on, I’ve decided that all my orders will be coming from there...
😘 🙂 😘

Daniel Barrett6 said:northernhawk87, that cake looks absolutely exquisite—truly right up my alley. Might I ask where you had it made?

Well, I have spent the entire evening typing away, and yet here you are, asking me again where 😬 we got it from the Little Bakery located out in the forest. It wasn't merely beautiful on the outside; it was incredibly delicious! In fact, they actually removed the decorative icing in the hall because they didn't want it to "bother" anyone, which led some of the guests to wonder if the slice we were eating was somehow even more real than the one they saw originally. 😬

I simply wouldn't be myself if you were 🙂

🤣 Well, I certainly believe you... you didn't just happen to get those exact measurements from the wedding head table for nothing, after all. 😁

The praise just keeps on coming 😬

Kolac was actually baked by a wonderful woman over in Adamstown... We have been ordering from her for years for every single one of our celebrations, and she has truly never let us down once. She is a phenomenal baker. The treats are delicious—they aren't all identical in flavor, of course, but they are uniform in shape, which makes them look so elegant when laid out on the plates 🙏 and oh my goodness, the taste is just.......

As for the cake, we ordered it from a little boutique bakery in Oakland (thanks so much, sly 😘). Sadly, I only had the chance to sample one layer, but it was absolutely, incredibly delicious... From what we heard from others, the rest of the layers were just as fantastic! Now we know exactly where we will be ordering our cakes for baptisms and every birthday party moving forward.... And I can assure you, we won't be the only ones becoming "regulars" there after our wedding 😁

Well, that certainly sounds like quite an undertaking—it’s a massive amount of work, truly. But if you were to divide the labor among a few close girlfriends, perhaps each could take on baking just a few trays, and everything would turn out beautifully... You could design the decorations entirely to your own taste to match your vision, then simply place them in those lovely little paper liners with a ribbon 😍 I am honestly starting to get swept up in the excitement of it all 😁 I might even find myself picking up a rolling pin at the end of it all—perhaps just to whip up something small for the kids 🤣

briskmarlin86, how many people are we actually expecting? I must confess, if the headcount were anything less than 300, I would have been quite tempted to bake muffins myself—one for every single guest, decorated by my own hand... It is remarkably straightforward, really; you can easily whip up a dozen in a single batch... and if one possesses a reliable oven and a few extra baking sheets, one could certainly manage two or three rounds all at once... That is precisely how I would approach such an undertaking if given the opportunity.

🙂 I find myself quite perplexed as to why we don't have even a single floor dedicated to a parfait lounge, considering my dear partner absolutely adores them... 😵 I might just have to make off with your suitcase 😛

I simply wanted to share that I recently attempted a cake featuring a chocolate parfait, and I must say, it was absolutely divine 🙂 so much so that the crowning glory of our little dessert is no longer a Black Forest style, but rather a parfait—though, I suppose, a fruit parfait at that 🙂

I don't see any need for us to divide anything up just yet... If anyone is truly interested, I’ll have about thirty boxes on hand, so someone could certainly set a few aside if they wish. As for my own plans, I intend to freeze a substantial portion immediately so that I might bring it in to treat everyone here at the office—they always have such an affinity for our traditional, homemade fare. And should there be any left over, well, then I shall simply have plenty to enjoy the following day as well.

Does anyone happen to know how many people actually showed up at your place?

I went ahead and ordered the exact same amount—100 pounds... I figured forty would cover us at both houses, and then another sixty should be plenty for the banquet hall area..

Oh, Ashley Adams4, you really should have just laid out the entire menu right from the start... one moment it’s chocolate, then suddenly we’re talking about ice cream without any toppings 🙂 though I suppose I simply must find an opportunity to try that parfait myself; I don't believe—if I recall correctly—that I have ever actually had one before...

Edit:
I have finally reached an agreement with the woman who will be handling all our pastry work... we have placed an order for a grand total of 100 pounds of assorted bite-sized treats for both the house and the party... She is truly a phenomenal baker; she cuts everything into perfect little portions and arranges them quite elegantly on platters. This means we won't have to worry about a single thing regarding the dessert service... And they are delicious enough to make one swoon :mljac:

Well, I recall quite a few of our ladies having cakes similar to the ones pictured here, and they were perfectly edible and visually stunning to boot... though, I must admit, I have my reservations regarding that particular chocolate one...... nevertheless, I don't personally find this level of execution to be any more taxing than what Justin Nguyen6 produces or working with marzipan.... it is rather curious indeed....
Ashley Adams4, did you happen to visit that little boutique bakery downtown as well? That is where Zachary Gray35 used to place her orders (as was my own custom)
