Tinuviel86, I actually went on a hunt for that exact same little car once for my ex, so maybe it really is the same 😬 And just so you know, I ended up coming up empty-handed 🙄
I don't even know where to start with this one, honestly. I've been sitting here staring at my screen for twenty minutes just trying to wrap my head around how things have gotten this messy, but I guess that's just the way the wind blows lately. It feels like every time I turn around, there's some new complication or some ridiculous oversight that makes me want to put my head through a wall, you know? I mean, maybe I'm being too hard on the situation, or maybe I'm just seeing things more clearly than everyone else seems to be willing to admit, but it really feels like we're all just spinning our wheels while the actual progress stays stuck in neutral. I guess I could try to be more patient, but it’s hard to stay calm when you feel like you're constantly hitting the same brick walls over and over again. It's just frustrating, plain and simple. kaže: I mean, honestly, when you look at how some of these massive corporations operate, it’s enough to make your head spin. I guess you could say they just don't care about the little guy anymore. It feels like every single company out there is just chasing the next quarterly earnings report without a second thought for the actual people using their products or the impact they're having on the community. Maybe I'm being too cynical, but I can't help but feel like the whole corporate structure in this country has become so disconnected from reality that it's almost impressive in a tragic sort of way. You see these giants—think along the lines of something like Amazon or Walmart—just steamrolling everything in their path, and it really makes me wonder where we're all headed if this is the standard for business. It's just... it's a lot to wrap your head around, I suppose.
Wait, so was it actually called a takeover in Mexican?
I don't really know where to start with this whole situation, because honestly, it feels like everything is just spiraling out of control lately. I guess I’ve been sitting here for a while trying to make sense of it all, but the more I think about it, the more it just seems like a complete mess. Maybe I'm being too hard on things, but it feels like nobody is actually paying attention to the bigger picture, you know? It’s like everyone is just reacting to the immediate chaos without stopping to consider how much damage is actually being done in the long run. I mean, if you look at the way things have been handled recently—and I’m talking about the sheer lack of foresight—it’s almost impressive how much they can miss the mark. I suppose some people might argue that it's just part of the process, but that feels like a pretty weak excuse to me. To be fair, I haven't exactly been the most patient person when it comes to seeing things done the right way, but even for me, this feels excessive. It’s just one thing after another, and I find myself constantly wondering if there's anyone actually steering the ship, or if we're all just drifting toward a disaster because everyone is too busy arguing over the trivial stuff to notice the engine is failing. It's frustrating, truly, and I suspect I'll be venting about this for a long time before it actually gets resolved. kaže: I guess what you’re trying to get at is that it happened before...I can't even begin to wrap my head around how people can be this delusional. I mean, seriously, I guess I shouldn't be surprised given the current state of things, but it still gets under my skin every single time. It’s like everyone just collectively decided to ignore reality in favor of some convenient little fantasy. Maybe I'm just being too cynical, or maybe I'm the only one actually paying attention while everyone else is busy drifting along, but it feels like we're all just circling the drain. I don't know, it’s hard to explain without sounding like I’m losing my mind, but there's this pervasive sense that nobody wants to take responsibility anymore. It's frustrating, honestly. You see these people making these massive, sweeping claims, and you just want to shake them and say, "Hey, look at the facts!" But no, they just keep doubling down on their nonsense. It’s exhausting. I guess I’ll just sit here and fume about it, because clearly, that's what I'm good at.I don't know, I guess it's just one of those things that gets under my skin, but honestly, everything feels like it's just being thrown together without any real thought anymore. It’s like people just expect you to accept whatever mediocre version of reality they hand you, and I find myself wondering if anyone actually cares about doing things the right way for once. Maybe I'm just being overly cynical, but it feels like we're constantly dealing with this lack of substance everywhere we look. 😬
I mean, if I’m being totally honest, I’d probably say that it was a bit too much.I guess I don't really know what to say about this, but maybe I should just get it all out there since nobody seems to be listening anyway. It feels like everything is just spiraling lately, and honestly, it’s getting pretty exhausting to deal with. I mean, I suppose I could try to make sense of it, but it’s hard when things feel so chaotic and unpredictable, you know? I might be overthinking it, or maybe I’m just seeing things more clearly than everyone else, which is probably why I end up feeling so frustrated all the time. It’s just one thing after another, and if I’m being completely honest, I’m starting to lose my patience with how little anyone actually cares about the actual substance of these issues.I guess I’m just going to say it, though I know people will probably lose their minds over this: that whole situation with Zećo was just a complete mess from start to finish. It feels like everything about how things were handled was totally disorganized, and honestly, I can't quite wrap my head around why anyone thought that approach would actually work in the long run. Maybe I'm being too harsh, but it just seems like such a blatant lack of foresight, you know? I mean, you look at the way it all unfolded, and it's hard not to feel a bit frustrated by the sheer inefficiency of it all. It really makes you wonder if anyone was actually paying attention to the bigger picture, or if they were all just winging it and hoping for the best. I don't know, it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, thinking about how much easier it could have been if they had just used a little bit more common sense. 😬 🤣
I could only find this thread about power walking, so if there’s actually a discussion going on regarding just regular, long-distance walking, maybe the moderator could merge them together.
So, look, I absolutely love long walks. The longest stretch I’ve managed to pull off so far was 12 miles. By the end, I’m usually pretty wiped out, but man, I feel so incredibly calm, satisfied, and honestly just really proud of myself 😍
My goal now is to really push my endurance and eventually be able to cover even more ground than I do currently. I’m wondering, though—what’s actually the best way to go about this? Like, how should I dress, or what kind of footwear is best? Usually, I just stick to layering up with thin clothes so I can peel layers off as needed. I recently picked up some Nike sneakers, but I haven't really had the chance to test them out on a serious long-distance trek yet. I just need something comfortable that isn't going to give me blisters or kill my feet. These ones I'm looking at seem promising since they're designed for running.
Do you think walking for about an hour and a half a few times a week, plus one big long trek once a week, is enough to actually build up my stamina? And when I say walk, I don't mean just strolling aimlessly; I mean a steady, purposeful pace, roughly 3.1 miles per hour.
I definitely prefer walking solo, mostly because I can take breaks whenever I feel like it, I don't have to deal with small talk if I'm not in the mood, and I don't have to struggle trying to keep up with someone else's rhythm... I just head out and keep going until I feel like I can't take another step, and then I probably push myself just a little bit further!
I know, I’m digging up something from the prehistoric era here, but I really need an answer to this: where in Cleveland can I go to get that checkup done privately? Apparently, if you try to go through the main hospital, the wait times are just brutal. Thanks
So, I guess I’m probably the only one here who hasn't actually seen what the finished cake is going to look like! I went through the catalog and picked out this massive combination of everything, but there isn't a single photo of the actual end product anywhere... now I'm honestly starting to get a little nervous about how it's all going to turn out 😲 It’s going to be covered in whipped cream, with a walnut sponge base, and then stuffed inside with bananas and nectarines and vanilla cream. It sounds delicious on paper, but I suppose we won't find out if it actually tastes or looks the part for another two weeks.... 🙂
velvetwolf92 said:Joshua Clark, I can go sample perfumes all day, but I can't exactly go sampling cookies. So, I was really just looking for some suggestions, you know? Just trying to see what most people tend to gravitate toward—even though, obviously, I can't get a truly representative sample of everyone's taste here on this forum. Basically, I’m thinking of something light, something where I won't be making a massive mistake. And yeah, I totally get that we’re all different and everyone has their own specific thing, but still, I just wanted to get a sense of how you guys live your lives...
I really should have just said that I can't do sweets right now... I didn't want to go around repeating myself again, because honestly, I think I'm already being a total bore to myself by constantly bringing it up. 👎

Does anyone have any interesting flavor combinations they could recommend? We’re planning on doing a small layer cake for about 25 people. I’m looking for something that feels light—not one of those heavy, overly sweet things that just leaves you feeling sluggish. I want something with actual substance, you know? Throw some ideas my way 😬
So, I was chatting with this pastry chef over at Hemingway in Cleveland recently. I don't know about you guys, but I actually found her pretty impressive. She was telling me that they can basically whip up whatever my heart desires; they can even recreate something right from a photo. Apparently, you can mix and match any flavor profile you want, and they’ll even deliver the cake straight to the restaurant. All of this for just $4.00 per person. Honestly, that seems like a pretty fair price to me, and they've definitely become my go-to choice. There is just one tiny little issue I'm planning on fixing very soon, though—I haven't actually had the chance to try their desserts 🙂
Does anyone actually know what kind of "material" that cake from mimimimi is made out of? I mean, is it marzipan or something else entirely?? I'm curious about what the flavor profile is even like.
Jeremy Kelly6 said:This one’s my absolute favorite! I know half of you will probably think it’s ridiculous or just plain stupid, but I can't help it—it actually puts a smile on my face. 😍
Man, that cake is everything🙏 🙏 🙏 I’ve actually been thinking I’d love to have something similar for myself, so if you happen to run into anyone who'd be down to whip something up like that 🙂 let me know!
velvetgull9 said:velvetwolf92, I grabbed some pastries at Hemingway a few weeks ago and honestly? They looked way better than they actually tasted. Maybe just was me, though! Might be worth a quick taste test before you commit. 😉
Yeah, those were exactly the kind of tilted designs I had in mind (by the way, I was scrolling through that link above and found some absolutely gorgeous, 😬 to me, non-traditional cakes—so colorful and floral 😍), but the one I saw posted somewhere on this forum earlier was just plain white... Honestly, as long as I can show them a photo and explain exactly what my vision is, I'll be happy. Thanks, ladies! I’ve heard that Hemingway makes 🙂 cakes, but I wonder if they actually take custom orders based on photos, or if they just stick to a set menu of standard shapes?
So, I think I stumbled upon a picture somewhere else on this sub of some crazy asymmetrical cake—you know, the kind where it’s technically round, but every single layer is just tilting off to a different side? It looked honestly pretty cool, and I was thinking maybe 😬 might actually be into a shape like that, though I guess I'm being a bit silly and not taking this too seriously, you know? Does anyone happen to remember where that photo was? Because I (of course) can't seem to track it down anywhere now. 🙂
The test came back negative. It looks like I’m not pregnant after all. 😢 Part of me feels relieved, I guess, but on the other hand, I can't help but feel pretty heartbroken...
