How can I get Zithromax? in Health ·
Look, it’s pretty obvious your doctor totally missed the mark here.

It’s not surprising, though—it feels like a lot of GPs around here are heading down that exact path lately. Just take a quick look, "listen" to the symptoms, and hand out an antibiotic. Whether it's Zithromax or Augmentin doesn't even seem to matter to them.🙄The thing is, even if Zithromax worked for you, antibiotics should really be targeted specifically. Now, whether it actually helped because of the meds or if it was just some viral thing like the flu is a whole different story. If it was just the flu, that Zithromax didn't actually do anything for you.😉

But hey, since you're all worked up,😉 let me say this: that👍 doctor is actually spot on and doing exactly what she should be doing.
She isn't just tossing antibiotics around blindly, and it's totally normal that she's sending your girlfriend to see a specialist instead.

Not every antibiotic works for every situation, and your girlfriend's doctor made the right call. Honestly, the way your doctor prescribed the Zithromax just wasn't the right move.
wiredsailor7, since I’ve been through an amputation myself, feel free to shoot me a DM if you're up for it.
I lost my right hand down to the forearm, so if you want to chat, just hit my inbox.
Thanks!
What does this diagnosis mean? in Health ·
Not specifically 😉 asking about that, by the way. Pleuropneumonia tends to pop up more often in people who hang out around "bigger" animals. And I don't mean dogs or cats here. I’m talking cattle😉
But whatever, the main thing is you're doing okay now👍
Here, you even got the exact location of the inflammation😉
So, here’s an idea I've been kicking around.
My husband actually owns the domain carcinoms.com and we’ve got plenty of server space to play with. If people are actually interested, we could launch a website where current patients, survivors, and their families can all share their stories. The goal would be to build a sort of comprehensive "guidebook" for anyone navigating a cancer diagnosis. I’ve already got a vision for how the layout should look, but obviously, I'd need some folks to help me actually build and run the site.
It’s a bit of a project, I know, but if there's genuine interest, I really think we could make it happen.

Man, you went through it with that pneumonia and pleurisy. Hope you're feeling way better now!😉
Empyema pleurae sinus (basically pus buildup in the pleural cavity)

Was your job involving any contact with animals?

Good luck, Sam Hall15! You’ve seriously got that natural instinct for being an amazing clinician. Honestly, whatever specialty you end up picking, you're gonna crush it if you keep this up.👍

Thanks so much for the kind words! We’re gonna give it everything we've got👍
Check out this site http://www.miller.co.at/ and hit up your doctor to get the real scoop. From what I know, SAGB actually makes stuff for Johnson & Johnson, so you might have better luck reaching out to them directly.
It’s pretty obvious you'll be getting that tax refund 😉

If nobody’s flagged this as weird yet, then I guess it’s totally normal, right?

Have you ever actually done an OGTT? Or just a standard "blood sugar panel"? (The first one is way more thorough.)
Anthony put it perfectly 👍

So, here’s the deal 😢 I actually tried explaining why I chose this handle for my blog once before.
It’s kind of a joint effort—my husband, who’s way more tech-savvy than me, helped me pick it out while I was still a total newbie.😕
I get that the name sounds pretty dark😲 but after spending three months hunting for a diagnosis, I’m honestly thinking about changing it.😉
What do you guys think about "Synovia Sarcoma"??
I’m not being edgy or anything; the name is tied to the illness I'm fighting right now.🙂 🙂 But I truly believe I’m going to beat this thing.👍

Sent this via email and PM too. Here’s that link regarding Budapest
Obviously everything is in Canadian though 😉

Leiomyosarcoma info/discussion in Health ·
Yeah, that’s exactly my point—the clinical trial is still ongoing and doesn't wrap up until April 30th.
If anyone actually decided to go through with this in the States, they really ought to be upfront about where, who, and when.😕

Based on what I gathered from the blog, one thing is crystal clear: unfortunately, a patient absolutely can't join a clinical trial if they've already undergone treatment under the MAID
protocol.

The issue isn't Medicare; the real question is whether this is even being done LEGALLY or if someone is just trying to buy time.

Leiomyosarcoma info/discussion in Health ·
Both sides of our family checked out the blog. Just wanted to clear things up from my perspective as both the patient and the caregiver. What’s the current status, and are there any new test results?
From what I can see, she was treated using the Maid protocol plus radiation, but we didn't get the results we were hoping for.😢

But there's one really confusing part on the blog here: "therapy that began being administered yesterday in the fight against leiomyosarcoma"

That info comes straight from clinicaltrials.gov, and honestly, it doesn't really apply to the real world right now, especially since the study isn't even finished yet.
Starts 01/09/2004
Ends 30/04/2007

You cannot enter this trial if you

* have Had chemotherapy for Your leiomyosarcom before
* have Had radiotherapy in The Last 6 Weeks
* have Had Any other cancer in The pasti , apart fra non melanom skin cancer or carcinom in sit of The cervix
* Have severe numbness or tingling in your hands or feet (peripheral neuropathy)
* Are pregnant or breastfeeding

The whole situation is a bit of a mess, so I'm trying to break down the details without everyone having to go hunting through the blog.

The "evil" side of the sarcoma guy who writes most of the posts here is pretty wicked😁 but the other half of him is actually really kind😉
Not all gallbladder pain is gallstones in Health ·
Angela Wright made a great point there. I totally get that it’s painful and annoying, but honestly, I don't quite get why you've been massaging it with all those different creams for nine months now🙄.
You probably realize you might be making things worse (especially since you mentioned it doesn't even feel good), so maybe skip the DIY stuff and hit up a podiatrist or a dermatologist instead—you'll likely get it sorted in no time.
Give it a shot and try to take your mind off it, because it's pretty obvious you're getting way too hyper-focused on your feet right now.

It’s pretty obvious we're talking about dementia here. I don't know what triggers it, but sometimes families really step up to deal with it and sometimes they just don't. What's been the vibe on your end?
Are you worried you'll catch it? Honestly, all I can say is hang tight until you hit 60 and then we'll see😉.
I know it sounds a bit blunt, but let's be real—there isn't anyone on this forum who can predict exactly what's going to hit us or when😉

Hey slyseal28,😉 There’s also the option of going with Budapest as part of that neurosurgery institute, which they’re aiming to turn into a major regional hub.🙄

I'm sending over an email with all the details you need,😉 though I'm definitely expecting a quick reply once you've had a look, okay?😉
MRI scan for the Queen in Health ·
First off, you’ll probably need a referral from your doctor, which you likely already have.😉 Then, you just gotta decide if you need this done ASAP or if you’re cool with waiting a bit.😉.
There are tons of private clinics out in Washington, D.C., and prices vary all over the place. You can get scans starting from $467 depending on how much of your spine they need to cover (usually split into cervical, thoracic, and lumbar sections). Pro tip: if you're getting multiple areas scanned at once, they'll often give you a bit of a discount.
If you go the private route, I'd definitely suggest giving them a ring first to check their rates.
Prices usually run anywhere from $1,400 to $733, plus if you need contrast, expect to add another $300 to $150.

Let me know what those follow-up results look like, and don't forget to check in if you need to with your doctor😉
