So my OB-GYN gave me this tiny little prescription for Novynette, and when I went to the pharmacy, they just stamped the same slip and scribbled down the date I picked up my first pack. It’s good for six months, I guess. My insurance doesn't cover anything for this, so it's all on me...
thanks for all the advice... we finally managed to get his pain under control...it’s been a winning combo of patches + Advil + Tylenol + Tramadol...he started the Tramadol today and says it’s helping a ton—it actually makes him sleepy, which is a relief because he hasn't been sleeping much since Wednesday, so things are feeling a bit more stable for now...we'll just see how it goes from here...
I called up a private medical transport service to get a quote, and they said the price for a trip from $87 Thorn to the local hospital would be around ... It’s definitely not our doctor’s fault—she’s actually wonderful—it’s just been so hard. My dad hasn't been able to get out of bed since they found those bone metastases... lately, his dose has been at 125 mg, and he’s taking Ketoral on top of that too. He was also given Sevredol, but it made him feel awful—he couldn't breathe right, like his lungs were really struggling... Yesterday, our doctor suggested 600 mg of Brufen, but even after he took that, the pain wouldn't budge. So, we just put him in the car and rushed him to the ER at the main hospital, but they just left him sitting there in a wheelchair in some little side room, in total agony, for like a good hour. After that, they finally gave him two doses of Morphine and Tramal... and even then, he told us the pain wasn't letting up. When we finally got back home, I gave him some more Brufen and Ketoral, and that seemed to help a bit. Honestly, today he can even walk a little, whereas yesterday morning he couldn't even move an inch in bed... We went to see the oncologist today to try and get him admitted for inpatient care and palliative radiation... but his regular oncologist isn't in, and the doctor filling in was just... well, whatever. They told us he needs to check in with his regular doctor on Monday, but then they mentioned she isn't even back until June 1st... so now we're just stuck waiting for her to return. The infusion from yesterday and the Morphine seem to be working for him today, but I know once that wears off tomorrow or the day after, we'll be right back in this exact same cycle... and I just honestly don't know how to help him through all of this.

Our doctor suggested we get him to the hospital, but honestly, we’re kind of stuck—we have no idea how to transport someone who can't even get out of bed using just our own car. The local emergency services mentioned they could send someone over to give him a pain injection, but that’s just not strong enough for what he’s going through right now... Does anyone know if there's such a thing as medical transport or something similar where you don't necessarily have to schedule everything two days in advance? We really need a way to move him while he's lying down, or at least get him into a stretcher so he can be moved safely... My mom mentioned she heard about some kind of nonprofit organization or community group that helps out in situations exactly like this, but she couldn't quite remember the name... Does anyone happen to know anything about that?

I went through that same nightmare with insane calf cramps... they were actually waking me up in the middle of the night. Anyway, I started taking some magnesium effervescent from Dietparam and eating a banana every single morning... now I feel totally fine.👍

She’s still pregnant... saw her posting on the forums about planning a wedding now. I guess the baby managed to survive that whole pack of pills she popped🤷
So, just like the title says—my face looks swollen, but only on the right side. My left side feels totally normal, but the right side looks enlarged, specifically right in that area where the masseter muscle is... I feel like this has been popping up ever since I was dealing with those wisdom tooth issues, but over the last year or two, it’s become a constant thing. It’s probably most noticeable in photos, if that makes sense...
Does anyone happen to know why this might be happening, or if there's actually a way to fix it?
It’s a lotion, so I just apply it right after washing my face with some Dove baby milk. The price usually runs between 30 and $12, depending on which CVS you hit up. Honestly, 🙂 was a total lifesaver...
