I’ve been staring at maps of the American West for the last three nights, and it’s getting a little ridiculous. There’s just something about the idea of a complete, total lifestyle reset that pulls at me.
I grew up in a pretty quiet, predictable suburb, and lately, the thought of trading my desk job for something rugged and unpredictable feels less like a "mid-life crisis" and more like a survival instinct. I find myself wondering if people actually find what they're looking for when they move halfway across the world to chase a specific vibe, or if they just end up being tourists in a different setting.
Is it actually possible to reinvent yourself through a change in scenery, or are we all just running away from our own boredom? Do you think a massive geographical shift actually changes who you are?
Noah Harris50 said:You got some solid advice there, take it. Nemrut, Bob, and Beebop all dropped some truth bombs you should probably sit with. You can't change the people around you, so wasting energy whining about why they are the way they are is pointless. Better to just focus on working on YOURSELF so their nonsense doesn't hit you as hard.

But no matter where I go—and especially in the corporate world—it’s the same old story. Constant undermining, people trashing my hard work, and backstabbing. I always end up carrying the weight of their nonsense on my own shoulders. As a person of faith, I could never dream of pulling a stunt like that on anyone. I know I’m capable. I’m smart, I give everything I have to my job and to the people around me, yet it feels like absolutely nobody respects that. It’s even worse when they mock me for being transparent or for actually caring about projects that have some actual heart in them. Then I look at these "successful" types and I just don't get it. What makes them so much better or sharper than me? They get the accolades while I’m just left waiting for them to label me as the villain, because apparently, that’s the only role they think I’m fit for.
Don't just pull them one by one; go to the general section and grab everything at once. It isn't like anesthesia or anything scary—at least it wasn't for me...

I love my green eyes, but I'd love to make them pop just to see how it looks. Women dye their hair all the time—why shouldn't I try changing my eye color? There's nothing wrong with that.
I read that you actually bought them. Tell me, how long can you wear them after you first put them in?
I had them quite a while back—I think I actually mentioned it on the forum once. I’m not entirely sure what the recommended daily wear limit was, but they expired about 15 days after opening... they cost me around $5 at the time.
Prince said:Interesting. It's wild how much people here in America worship her like some kind of icon, yet look at what happens once she actually steps out onto the global stage.
Personally, I don't see an icon. To me, she’s just terrible.
I took it, but I didn't chew it—I just swallowed it right away. It's okay... but usually, when my iron levels are low, I pick up some Intrafer drops in Boston. If you get the chance to grab those, I definitely recommend them.
I'm certainly not the only one. Honestly, every single person I know who’s had their cartilage pierced has dealt with issues from that piercing for a long time.
I had a nasty experience with my cartilage piercing; it kept getting infected and hurting like hell. I ended up taking it out after about three months. It’s just not worth the hassle.

I expected to see someone broken or terrified, but instead, she’s absolutely killing it. It was genuinely fascinating. As for the kidnapper? I'd love to take him out. What do you all think?
I'm right there with you. It's incredible how well she's doing, whereas that maniac deserves nothing but the worst.
Of course you can, just don't go riding high in the morning; instead of pushing through, maybe just take a couple of tranquilizers 🙄 Honestly, you’d be better off spending the cash you blow on speed or X on a psychiatrist instead.

Sometimes I’ll stumble upon a topic I wouldn't even normally weigh in on, only to find people calling me stupid, arrogant, or rude.. The number of people acting this way grows by the day. It's honestly draining because I know I'm not a bad person, let alone someone who deserves constant provocation or being belittled just because of my age.😢 Too many people have a negative opinion of me, while the positive ones are nowhere to be found.
...I've noticed a few users who constantly provoke others for no reason at all. You aren't alone in this... my take is that these people are just frustrated in their real lives and use the internet as a punching bag.🙂 Don't let it get to you; there is nothing wrong with you.😘
