I’ve been seeing Dr. Husar over on Tratinska for years. I originally went to him based on a referral, and he’s incredibly kind. He handles everything—Pap smears, bacteriology, vaginal ultrasounds—it’s all very professional and tidy. If I remember correctly, the exam was about $70.

My mom had a cyst, and her former partner used to just hand her antibiotics because she thought there was an infection! Anyway, she managed to clear it up in two or three months.

is the best you'll find

Do you happen to have a number to call for an appointment? How does their booking process actually work?
What is this?? in Health ·
Go see a doctor and have them run some actual tests. You can't get a real diagnosis through an online forum; you'll either end up worrying yourself sick over nothing or feeling way too relaxed when you actually need help, and none of us can truly know what's going on with you.
Jose Miller3 said:"A thyroid doctor" is just an endocrinologist...

An endocrinologist handles everything from ovaries to any gland or hormone issue under the sun.
But I'm looking for someone who actually specializes specifically in the thyroid. Isn't there supposed to be a distinction?
Does anyone have a recommendation for a solid endocrinologist specializing in thyroid issues?

Alex Collins26 said:If you can swing it, definitely go see Dr. Grujić-Koračin... I saw her for my very first gynecological exam and she was wonderful. I actually just dropped by her office recently because I had some test results from Rockefeller Hospital that looked bad, and nobody else would tell me what they actually meant. (I was picking up my husband, the day before our wedding), totally panicked and in tears when I rushed into her office—even though the last time I saw her was six years ago. She actually left her patient to go into another room just to walk me through those results 🙂. She's an incredibly kind and capable woman.
As for male gynecologists, I definitely recommend them; they tend to be much more gentle and empathetic. It’s such a shame those two moved abroad, otherwise, I’d recommend them in a heartbeat.
The one doctor you should absolutely avoid is Dr. Banović over in Srednjaci!!! TERRIBLE.

Yeah, I’ve heard about that Dr. Banović—total fraud!
He spent three years treating a friend of mine for HPV using all these ridiculous, useless methods, all while charging her a fortune, and she didn't get any better.
She finally went to a different doctor who told her his approach was madness and that she absolutely needed surgery...
Hangover cures? in Health ·
So, why does a hangover actually happen? What's really going on inside your body that makes you feel like death—you know, that nauseating feeling and the pounding headache?
Hangover cures? in Health ·
I passed out at 3:00 AM after knocking back about seven Bud Lights. Between that and being on my feet since 5:00 AM for work, I have absolutely no idea how I’m going to make it through the day.
Any advice, please?🙂

granitepuma16 said:I'm just wondering if anyone has recommendations for gynecologists at Mercy (Zajcev)...
...whether they work there or in private practice. Thanks.

DR. IVAN FISTONIC. He also has his own private practice over on Preradovic Street.
Birds die singing. It’s just one thing after another. I stayed up all night watching, and honestly, I’m still a total wreck.

I don't know how to deal with this shame—I know they see stuff like this every single day, but still, I'm desperate. I have no idea who to go to; I just know I’m not going to Dr. Harny, and I'm terrified he'll just yell at me. Help me.

Just head over to Dr. Husar’s office in downtown. He is fantastic—never judgmental, never panics... and he definitely won't yell at you.👍 I’ve had such a great experience with him that I completely lost that awful anxiety I used to feel whenever I had to make a gyno appointment. If you need his number, just ask.
redbadger26 said:Just take some Nolicin—two tablets for a week and that E. coli issue will most likely be history!
I've got my 👍 fingers crossed for you!

Is that an antibiotic?
Thanks, I'll give it a shot. Honestly, it felt like the probiotics were helping too, but I guess we're right back where we started...
banderas said:Besides, you have to deal with that too. Though, honestly, E. coli is a whole different beast altogether.

Does anyone actually know what works for this? Seriously. I tried taking Nurofen, but it didn't do a damn thing...

crtica said:She isn't the only doctor out there, right? Try seeing someone else, preferably someone recommended by a friend.

I personally went to one top-tier specialist, and now I'm heading to another who is just as excellent. Both of them looked at me when I had a minor inflammation and told me it was nothing. Besides, just because you have a sore throat doesn't mean you always need antibiotics. It all depends on what's actually causing it, doesn't it?

Betty Patel17 said:Question: Every single Pap smear comes back showing inflammation, yet my gynecologist keeps insisting everything is perfectly fine.

Shouldn't they at least suggest treating it with creams, suppositories, or something?
Or is the unspoken rule just that if it isn't cancer, you don't actually have a problem?

That basically means it’s nothing serious. I always have some minor inflammation or whatever, and my doctor tells me everything is fine too. Sometimes she gives me a prescription for suppositories, sometimes she doesn't. Just be happy; apparently, you're fine.
My doctor told me ages ago that once a year, just for prevention, I can take the initiative and use a round of Geonistin suppositories. It helps clear out those little inflammations.
redbadger26 said:Are you dealing with frequent trips to the bathroom or any pain when you go? Also, what’s your gender and age range? Based on what you've described, it sounds like a classic bladder infection, and honestly, antibiotics or urinary antiseptics are pretty much the only real way to fix that. One of the top choices is Nolicin, but I have to wonder—why didn't your doctor put you on a treatment plan immediately? And more importantly, why did you even bother getting a urinalysis in the first place?

Is that Nolicin effective against E. coli too?
Lisa Richardson8 said:What about taking them alongside antibiotics? 👍

Yeah, alongside antibiotics. Honestly, that’s the best way to handle it if you're looking at long-term use.
Amy Rodriguez16 said:A few things in my urinalysis came back outside the normal range. I'm trying to figure out what's causing this and what kind of diagnosis I might be looking at.
Results:

Physicochemical Examination

Microscopic Sediment Exam

Epithelial Cells very numerous normal 0-1

Please get back to me as soon as possible, this is really important! Thanks in advance!

Honestly, if I don't get at least 10 hours of sleep, I am a total zombie. I can somehow power through for days on just three hours of shut-eye, but once I actually catch up on rest? It’s like I become a completely different person.
