What's the deal with Jamiroquai? in Music ·
Walter Foster52 said:give me your routing number so I can send you a donation for your little snail farm... 😢

guess you finally woke up from your coma just in time for summer 2002... 😕 🙂

glad you're actually recovering though... 👍

Don't sweat my snail farm, it's doing fine. Honestly, after reading your reply, I realized there's nothing left to say because you wouldn't get it anyway. So 👋
P.S. what are you even listening to lately?

They’re just too mid... Dream On Dreamer is definitely one of the best things I've heard, same with Always There by Incognito...

Then why on earth aren't you going? You can't miss this.
Can't wait for saturday....😁

Nirvana said:Basically, I’m thinking about hitting up this concert this weekend, but I’ve got vacation plans coming up. Is this band actually any good? What kind of music do they play? Is it worth dropping cash on a night out for them? Thanks.👍

With a question like that, you might as well just save your $80. But hey, if someone else is footing the bill, hope the vibe at the venue is decent...

Jamiroquai... honestly some of the best stuff out there.
Pure Acid Jazz meets those sexy, funky rhythms.

Look, taste is subjective. Some people hate it, but for me... it's everything.
Those first two albums are the real deal, perfect for chilling out with a Bacardi at night. Then you get the dance tracks like Canned Heat, Mr. Moon, Little Lou, or Dynamite... they just hit different. Makes me have to move.
I feel like you either love Jamiroquai or you don't. You don't just "kind of" listen to them. They're in a league of their own... always gets me going.

That Madison Square Garden show back in 2002... easily one of the best moments of my life. The crowd was absolutely electric. Total peak experience. During Deeper Underground, I stepped back from the crowd for a second just to watch all those hands moving in unison... like waves... man, gave me chills...

Can't wait for Saturday. So, who's in? If you were there three years ago, you definitely want to chase that feeling again.
Checked online, and their set in Washington, D.C. was insane. Check this link www.funkin.com

some girl said:I was on Stediril-d, twice a day, morning and night... ended up throwing up everything I ate for three days straight, but hey, knock on wood, the method worked. Now I'm on Cilest and praying I never have to go through that again.

Man, are you my long-lost twin? Lol, just kidding. Same exact story over here, minus the vomiting part. Also on Cilest 👍

mellowridge said:Not really feeling this whole emergency pill idea...

Like, whether you dig it or not, it can pull you out of a bad spot. A friend of mine completely lost her fertility right when she was ovulating. Who knows, maybe if she hadn't taken the morning-after pill, she’d actually have a kid by now...
The side effects are brutal, though. I don't know about everyone else, but I had this experience where I needed the emergency pill and my OBGYN gave me four regular birth control pills instead—told me to take two in the morning and two at night. Probably doesn't happen like that here in the States. Honestly thought I was dying. Nauseous as hell and my heart was racing like crazy all day long. That's why I say—never again...
Man, if your mom finds out it's Shigella, the health inspector is gonna have to pay that little deli a visit... or whatever they call those places.
Anyway, feel better soon. We're thinking of you 😉

If it hasn't been 72 hours since you hooked up, you've still got time for the morning-after pill. If it's been longer than that... well, good luck.
Maybe try tracking your cycle and seeing when you actually ovulate. If your period is regular, chances are slim...
Just remember, an egg is only viable for about 24 hours, but sperm can hang around for up to 3 days.
Question regarding SIDE in Health ·
It’s pretty simple: you either are or you aren't. Just get tested once three months have passed since the encounter—that's how long it takes for antibodies to kick in—and call it a day. Seriously, all this guessing "maybe I am" or "maybe I'm not" is just bullshit. It’ll eat you alive... leave you totally lost...
The only real issue is if you try testing before those three months are up and the PT hasn't had time to develop. Usually, they use the ELISA method, which is just a standard blood test. The actual lab work takes about ten minutes, though you're stuck waiting a few days for the results depending on the clinic.
Symptoms? Forget about them. In the first stage of a CDC infection, most people don't feel a thing, and it can stay that way for years until things really start going downhill. That’s the whole nightmare; there are no symptoms, or if there are, they're so vague that people think they're fine. They have no clue about their status and end up passing it to everyone around them. That's the real tragedy...
Your microbe knowledge is a little shaky. C. perfringens type C is what causes food poisoning...
Yeah, dysentery can definitely cause bloody diarrhea. I only mentioned it because my symptoms are screaming Shigella. That's it. Plus, it's linked to being a carrier. If some guy was a carrier and didn't wash his hands after using the restroom, man, you're in trouble...😲
Feels more like Shigella or maybe C. perfringens to me (especially since you had meat); okay, the symptoms kicked in a bit late, but there’s no vomiting.
Definitely sounds like bacillary dysentery; cramps, diarrhea, tenesmus, gas...
Heh... honestly, I can't even remember what Cola tastes like anymore 😕
Cooperation/Teamwork in Health ·
It’s been forever since I dealt with antibiotics, but I remember the drill—always at the same time, always finishing the whole bottle. Quitting halfway just because you feel better? Absolute rookie mistake. You’re basically just letting those bacteria hang on for dear life, waiting to come back even stronger... plus, you're just building up resistance to AB. Not even gonna get started on how people abuse AB in general, we could talk about that until next year.
Taking stuff on schedule matters too, just to keep levels steady in your system. Same goes for whether you eat first or take it with a massive glass of water. Everything’s got a reason.

And getting meds from some random neighbor? Peak stupidity. One time, thank god I caught it, my grandma was taking benzos someone from down the street gave her just to "help her sleep."😲 Like, hello??? Seriously, I wanted to go over there and lose it on that woman.🙂
Best mushrooms for cooking? in Health ·
Supposedly oyster mushrooms have anti-cancer properties (don't quote me on that). Personally, they’re incredible... putting them on the grill tomorrow while my mom and grandma can go ahead and choke on their burgers 😁

Look, just scroll through the thread for a bit, you'll see everything that's been said. There are explanations for those additives and all that... And honestly, just ignore that stuff about Nestlé and bacteria in urine, it's not even worth mentioning 🙄

banderas said:Ugh, here we go again with the citric acid being "carcinogenic"... 😵

Back to the point—god help us if these are the kinds of GPs we have. Telling someone they have bacteria in their urine because of Nestlé? What a joke... 😁

Look, you can't even try to "educate" people here without them calling you a freak... 🙄 ... Sigh...

Anyone else actually liking this...😕

Made that lemon pudding today using Dodo's recipe. Dodo, it was killer...👍 Mom won't even try it because of Steve... man, she's such a drama queen...🙄
Can't even taste it in that pudding, but I made some vanilla cream in a mug today and there's this tiny bit of bitterness from the Stevia... idk, doesn't really bother me, but mom will catch on instantly if I try to pull a fast one on her...😁

briskfalcon15, just a couple drops of Steve's in my green tea works for me... don't even touch coffee...

silvermason16 said:Edward Price73, don't come around here acting like a jerk... 🙂

Is it even legal to be wrong... 🙄 Based on what we've got...
Wrong info? ...maybe...

so, what's actually the deal with the difference between E300 and E330...

In the US, they allow like 48 different emulsifiers on the approved list, but over in...
Europe has like 75 of those emulsifiers on their approved list...

Looks like more testing is on the way... just another list to deal with...
keep it short...

I ain't twitching, number one...
Number two... don't believe everything you read in the papers. Journalists are just vultures looking for someone to crucify... they just want a headline, and the truth? Usually nowhere near it...
So you say you read about it online, mentioned some clinic in Düsseldorf... Honestly, people, someone already said this before me: anything actually researched and proven has to be published in scientific journals. And getting that paper out? It’s a total nightmare... It has to be damn good if you want a shot at somewhere like Nature or Science... Anyway, totally lost my train of thought...
Look, if E330 was actually cancer-causing, you wouldn't be out there eating margarine or sipping on a Coca-Cola and all that other junk... That "E" number thing is just an EU regulation to make everything easier to track, it doesn't mean anything bad...
Take citric acid, or whatever that "acidity regulator" E330 nonsense is... if you see E330 on the label, a Chinese person, an American, or even a Frenchman knows exactly what they're getting. But call it an acidity regulator? Nobody’s gonna know what that means... since there's more than just one...
If I remember right, E100-200 are dyes, E200-300 are emulsifiers, and E300-400 is acidity regulators, antioxidants, blah blah blah... Don't call me out if I'm wrong, my memory's shot...
Just take everything with a grain of salt... double check before you spit... 👋

Don't tell me it's risky, like planting GM soy just to have those herbicide-resistant genes jump to weeds... turning them into superweeds and resetting the whole damn cycle...
