I had the same thing done, but on my right side, and I didn't even get prescribed any pills since my doctor said that one side is working perfectly fine 😕 It’s actually been five years since my surgery and I haven't had a single issue
Back when things hit Canada about two years ago, it was pretty brutal—so many people lost their lives. Eventually, the government stepped up and vaccinated all the kids, and once they started on adults, they even included everyone up to age 24. So, I guess my kids should be good for the next seven years or so... It’s just honestly awful how fast people can pass away, but I suppose that's just how it goes. 😢
I went through something similar when I was dealing with some kidney issues... though maybe it could be menopause too. Still, I'd say definitely get your thyroid checked out first...
As long as my kids stay healthy, I can handle anything else, honestly. I guess having them when they were little is what kept me going—I just couldn't bring myself to give up because the thought of someone not being there to tuck them in at night, like I did, just broke me. It’s been tough, though. I really hope your friend feels better soon. So yeah, I’m just living my life one day at a time: I’m singing today because who knows if I’ll be able to tomorrow.🙂
Maybe I’m just wired differently, but for me, it was one thing. I just looked at my cigarette, said "this is the last one," stubbed it out, and honestly? I never even thought about lighting up again. Not after a year, not after two, not even a month. Once you make that call and settle things with yourself, it’s actually pretty easy. I mean, going to rehab isn't a bad idea either, especially when you think about the people fighting throat cancer in hospitals everywhere.😢 You’re definitely throwing it away, right?
Jessica Harris24 said:My grandma had my mom when she was 39—totally smooth pregnancy, everything went great. And this was back in the 1900s, way before all the modern tech we have now. Then, my uncle’s wife actually had a brother when she was 50! That was also back in the 20th century during some really rough times, and she was already starting menopause! No issues at all. I ended up having my baby in my mid-20s, with all the fancy medicine available today, and the little one was born at only 5 and a half months. It just goes to show that age doesn't mean anything, I guess. Maybe it seems a bit weird to have kids in your 40s nowadays, but if it happens, why not?!
My mom had me when she was 40 🙂 and they were twins, too, so honestly, what's our excuse?😉
says: I don't want to freak anyone out, but here’s just what happened with me: First pregnancy at 29—totally smooth sailing. Second one, age 33, I had to stay on bed rest for the last two months. Third one at 36, ended in a miscarriage after two months. Fourth one at 37, spent months on strict bed rest.
And honestly, don't let it scare you because age isn't everything. That was my deal too, so you can see... first pregnancy at 17, lost it. Second one at 19, I was on bed rest the whole time. Third one at 23, and yeah, more issues. So, you see? Age doesn't really mean much... and besides, looking at things in the US today, the average age for a first-time mom is actually in her thirties. Rita, I'm so glad everything is going great for you!🙂
Seriously, why are people like this??? I don't personally deal with psoriasis, but I’m pretty sure anyone who does just wants to be heard. So what if there are only three threads about it? You can go check other forums and find a hundred different threads about baby names, hair products, or whatever else 🙂
Jesus😲 I would seriously die without milk. I can't touch yogurt because of my allergies, but man, I am obsessed with sweet milk. I guess I just switch it up—one day I'll have soy milk, and that’s basically my go-to breakfast with some cereal. 🙂
First off, you’ve gotta have a goal, but like, a really important one. Second, you need to realize food is just fuel to keep your body running, not some big reward to indulge in. Real pleasure comes from things like sex, sports, or a hobby—not eating. I can tell you, I’ve stayed right at 125 lbs for ten years now and I feel amazing, especially since I hit the gym almost every single day.😉
I was spiraling, honestly. I just couldn't wrap my head around the idea of actually being alive by this time next year.😲 So, I started shopping for clothes, and then suddenly that thought hits me—like, why am I even buying this if I won't be around to wear it next summer? I don't know where that darkness came from, but I decided to pull a total 180 on my entire life. I changed everything, from what I eat to how much I work out. I even tackled the stuff that scared me most, and hey, I made it through. It kept me going for maybe four or five months. I think you’re just totally burnt out. Just stop, take a breath, go for a run, and it'll pass.
And seriously, don't worry, you aren't alone. There are so many people feeling the exact same way:🙂 👋

I went to see my doctor and they said yeah, there’s this spray you can just blast all over your mattress, but man... what a joke. I tried spraying mine a few times, but maybe it only lasts a couple of days before everything goes right back to being awful. 😠 For the last few nights, I've been waking up coughing and struggling to breathe like crazy; my throat feels totally clogged up with phlegm, it's gross.. I used Nasacort for a while too, but I didn't really notice any major difference.. I'm just so over it.. 🙂
Nasacort actually helps me, but I guess it's only if I take it non-stop. Once I finally stop, it takes like three weeks before I even notice a change. Honestly, I'm pretty fed up too.😢
I've already signed everything on my health insurance card, so they can just take it all🙂 if it means helping even one person, or if it makes even one small thing better, then I feel like I've done something good with my life👍
ambertiger4 said:I honestly don't know anyone who just "quits for a month or a year."😕 What do you even mean by that? From what I've seen, everyone wants to kick the habit for good, they just... fail at it. 😢
As for me, I've made it two weeks, and honestly, it’s been way easier than I thought it would be or prepared for. Hopefully, it stays this way. I guess once you get your head right, everything stays under control. And there's that thing—that really helps me—where you tell yourself, "if you can make it through one day, you can do the next; if you can do a week, you can do two." I'm sticking to that pretty hard. 🙂
Come on, guys, hang in there! If I can pull off two weeks, literally anyone can!! 🙂😲 👋
That's exactly how my husband acts whenever he quits; he'll say, "I'll just try it for a few months,"🙄 then he ends up relapsing and his excuse is always, "well, I did say a few months."🙄
I quit six years ago and I haven't even touched a cigarette since—not now, and honestly, probably never again. I'm just one of those people where once I say I'm done, I mean it. I guess everyone else's mistake is trying to set a deadline, like "I'll quit for a month" or "I'll quit for a year." That's not me. I just said, "This is the last one," blew it out, and I've been done ever since. 😉
Ugh, everyone is such a creep🙂... honestly just total dogs😲... but the absolute worst part? It’s when I spot mold or mildew—whatever you guys call it here. I’m allergic to it, like, seriously life-threatening levels of allergic. So whenever I see some fruit starting to rot or go bad, I immediately spiral into a full-on panic attack.😲
Of course it doesn't work, because they're only targeting one specific strain of the flu. As far as I know, they've found three different types over in Canada, so if they got vaccinated against one, they probably won't catch that specific one, but what about the others? Honestly, I’ve never gotten vaccinated, and I wouldn't do it to my kids either—I feel like it does more harm than good. If they do get sick, I just take care of them, bring the fever down, and everything turns out fine. To be honest, I can't even remember the last time either me or the kids actually had the flu.🙂 Knock on wood,😉 but washing your hands really works wonders.👍
