Hmm... maybe there's something worth putting together here.

Based on what?

Personally, I think sucking up to people is usually just a temporary phase—though, let's be honest, it definitely helps when you're trying to climb the ladder at a place like Goldman Sachs.

Honestly, maybe it’s better to just stop wanting things altogether. At least then you won't deal with all the disappointment, right?

gentlelynx11 said:What really gets to me, though—the thing that’s truly disappointing—is how predictable people are. There’s always talk about those rare individuals who aren't, but I haven't run into one yet. Sure, physical laws make the material world predictable, which makes sense. But humans? It seems like social, biological, and psychological conditioning keeps everyone trapped in these rigid little boxes. They just can't seem to look up from the ground. It's a bit pathetic, really.😁

The world basically splits into three groups: the pawns, the champions, and the Masons.

Man, there’s nothing worse than when that feeling hits right before you have some huge deadlines looming, right? It’s wild. I started thinking about certain songs earlier—it’s like a total {re}mix of emotions swirling around in my head.

It’s honestly better to just play nice than to start an argument {as long as playing nice doesn't screw over anyone else}

Most people just act totally different on the weekends compared to how they behave during the work week.

Experience just goes to show that there's plenty of predictability in life if you look close enough.

Sometimes, even when I’m giving it my absolute all, things just don't pan out the way I wanted them to. It’s frustrating, right? Honestly, it occasionally sends me spiraling into a bit of a pessimistic mood.

It’s all pretty predictable, honestly. But you know what the real kicker is? The absolute weakest link in this whole setup is just how many things end up tripping everything else up in an attempt to stay unpredictable.

If you actually did the research and it really is over 98 percent, then I totally believe you.

As people get older, they just stop hanging out as much—it’s nothing personal, they just don't feel the need to broadcast their business to the world anymore. If they do run into someone they know, it’s usually just a quick "Hey, how's it going?" before moving on with their day.
Real friends? Man, those are hard to find, and if you actually have one, hold onto them tight. For me, a true friend is someone I can vent to about my entire private life, knowing—without a shadow of a doubt—that everything stays between us. Are there people like that out there? Honestly, hardly anyone. Personally, I've never been the type to go digging into other people's drama anyway. And hey, if you're bored and looking for some tea, just come hang out and read the threads here 😁
. Most of my time goes to my family and relatives—the people I actually care about, who I can tell absolutely anything to, knowing they'll always have my back (and I'll have theirs).
With neighbors, it’s mostly just polite small talk about the weather or whatever.
It’s just how things are these days, I guess. We've got the internet, so we can look up literally anything we want. We don't really need to go asking people for info anymore. Google knows everything 😁

But why the rush? Why did times change like this? And really, who is this happening to?

I used to be a total naive optimist. I've toned that down over the years, sure, but honestly? I'd much rather be a bit too optimistic than shut myself off from the world entirely.

I genuinely care about people. I want to help whenever I can, and it makes me happy to see people staying positive through their struggles. Life is way too short to ignore the good stuff or let fear and indecision rob us of great opportunities.

So, I’m sitting here thinking about 1492, and you know what Columbus once said? He claimed the whole mechanism of human nature is logically illogical. It’s wild, right? If you're on his side, then everything makes sense. If you aren't? Well, then you're just out of luck. That would be the vision—though, let's be honest, reality often tells a different story than the rumors flying around town.

Times have changed for people who want to frame things that way, but honestly? Aside from this massive tech revolution we're living through, most of what we do is pretty much the same as it was decades ago.

Daniel Kelly57 said:People who don't make time for you don't deserve your time. It’s just simple math. 🍿

Spot on. You only get one life, right? Why waste precious minutes on people who aren't playing fair?
People who are always "too busy in Psychology ·
And honestly? Just stay far away from people who only see you as a way to get stuff. They aren't being fair to you, at all. It’s so important to just say "no" when you need to.

If they suddenly find the time to reach out, there’s usually a reason behind it, right? Most of the time, it’s because they actually need something from you.

If you really want something, you’ll find the way and the time to make it happen. But if you don't? Well, you'll just come up with a million excuses. It's as simple as that.

It’s the same story with pretty much everything else in life, isn't it? Some people will go looking for trouble even when things are going great, while others can actually find a silver lining right in the middle of a mess. People are just wired differently.

Jeffrey Ramos4 said:So, she’s out there posting that she might be facing some kind of terminal illness... and you're really going to just drop a reply like that? Honestly... I don't even know where to start. It feels incredibly heavy. Just a complete lack of tact... If it worked back then, it’ll work now.... 🤦

Look, maybe she does, maybe she doesn't. Let's just hope she's wrong and that her optimism is actually justified.

ruggedranger42 said:What am I supposed to do with my life? It feels like everything is just collapsing. My whole world has fallen apart. I spent last year just partying, and now I’ve only passed one single class at university. I’m repeating the year, and I honestly feel like a complete idiot. On top of that, I’m dealing with physical symptoms—there’s a chance it could be something serious, maybe even a terminal illness or a virus, though nothing is confirmed yet. I don't know what to do. Everything has crumbled. How can I move forward and find a way to become the person I used to be? 🙄

This too shall pass. If you managed to pull through the hard times before, you'll find a way through this, too.
