The biggest scammers in Music ·
A few years back, when UB 40 played a show in Washington, D.C., they were absolutely floored. They walked out there expecting the usual, but instead, the crowd went wild for this one track of theirs—it wasn't even their biggest hit, if I recall correctly (I can't even remember the original title off the top of my head)—and everyone was singing along in some strange language.😁
The song was actually "Mjesecina" by Merlin, who basically "borrowed" the melody from them without ever getting a signature on a contract.
Honestly, he got lucky they weren't in the mood to sue him into oblivion.
New openings for veteran managers in Soccer ·
I was catching Rehhagel's interview on German TV the other day.
The guy claims there isn't some long-term deal signed with the Greeks through 2008, but rather that he already has an agreement in place until 2006.

Rita said:Wait, since when did we stop seeing Italians at Eurovision? What on earth happened to them?

The Italians checked out of that whole scene a long time ago. They basically decided they were already at the top of the food chain, so why bother competing? Especially when you factor in those "neighborly voting" shenanigans. Honestly? It’s a smart move.

Victory would be a total slam dunk!

We could even have Thomson handle some background vocals.

I’m just thinking about how to maximize our vote count!

Get the Orthodox, the Muslims, the folks from the Ozarks...

Don't forget Vuca!😬

You didn't win.
You were just the first ones drawn. For everyone actually moving on to the final, we don't even know the rankings or how many votes they pulled yet.
All we know is that Estonia came in 11th (clearly they have a decent chunk of diaspora out there)... etc.
Post-shave irritation issues in Health ·
I actually ended up seeing a dermatologist for a similar issue once. Honestly, he wasn't even entirely sure what was going on, so he started rambling about stress levels and lifestyle choices...
He prescribed what he called a little "magic cream" containing cortisone, which—to be blunt—didn't exactly thrill me, nor did it do much to help.
The real fix? I found it in a basic facial sunscreen. Ever since I started applying it every single morning, regardless of whether it’s cloudy or sunny out, things have improved significantly.

Good grief... I'm a dead man!😢 😲
Think about how much vodka I've downed with Schweppes Bitter Lemon over the years. At this rate, I won't die from the booze; I'll be taken out by the soda...😁

Man, I was absolutely dying laughing yesterday. They ask some "die-hard fan" if he actually knows the rules of water polo, and he just looks them dead in the eye and says: "Nope. I'm just here to fight Mexicans."

😁 👍
See? You have to admit our fans have their merits... at least they're honest!!
European Water Polo Championships - Canada in Other Sports ·
Look, it’s still a massive win in my book. We lost because we were clumsy and unlucky, plain and simple. It happens. We still need to give our guys their props.
Think about the dilemma, though—if we had actually pulled it off... who would the media even pick for Team of the Year? These guys or the handball squad?😉 😁
And the fans... honestly, they have zero class and even less tact.
Making a scene when our boys are up 7:4? Only idiots do that.
They go straight for the tactical foul. When you’ve got momentum, you don't stop, you don't call timeouts; you just keep pushing. Meanwhile, the opponent is doing everything in their power to force a stoppage just to flip the script.👎 👎 👎 👎
As for those absolute clowns posting here... what else do you expect besides mindless nonsense and constant provocation?
Some people tried to defend them—you know, back when they started trashing the Pope... but let’s not generalize too much. Still, they are way too hyper-fixated on us. Way too much!
T-shirt slogan ideas in Miscellaneous ·
I caught a glimpse of an incredible t-shirt the other day... it featured a photo of Pantelija's grandfather back in Marathon, TX, with this caption underneath:

PANTELIJA IS NOT DEAD

Then there was this other one...
Love is pain, and pain is at Braco.

You left without even tasting the stuffed cabbage rolls
went off hunting for some gourmet meal,
but now you’re showing up at the worst possible moment
just as the last bite has been finished.

We aren't exactly starving anymore.
We know all about those rolls now.
Just bring us a glass of warm milk
and we might give that a shot too...

As for my singing skills,
they are an absolute disaster.
If I have to dive deep into the high notes,
well, I mostly stick to pop hits and country songs.
It pays the bills reasonably well.
If you want me to sing opera,
only a crazy person would pay for that...

Here we go again—just pulling a few more gems straight from the vault of American folk wisdom.

I can't wait to finally lay my mother to rest so I can get Ray back home where he belongs!
> 2. He cheated on me, dear? Honestly, as long as he’s healthy and breathing, who cares? If his wife doesn't love him, well, that's on her—he's not the one at fault here!
You’re easily the sharpest guy in the room—outshining all those Hollywood A-listers combined. You're basically cruising through downtown in a Ferrari.
The boss!
My girl’s rocking a mini skirt, and she even wrote "take it off" right underneath it. My girl is really playing for keeps.
"Maxi skirt under a maxi..." she wrote? That's just pure chaos. Honestly, someone needs to hand that lady a dictionary and a reality check.
> 5. It’s like a massive circle dance where Dude is right in the center, and honestly? I’m shaking with pure excitement just thinking about it!
I’m just a happy-go-lucky farmhand on the surface, but deep down? I'm carrying a heavy heart. What’s a poor soul supposed to do, sitting here by the Mississippi?
> When I don't even know how to swim!
I’ve always been the type to ride the wind rather than fight it—never let anyone else steer my course. Been doing things my own way since I was just a kid.
Born upside down!
So, you’re inviting me over for coffee when you don't even have any grounds? Seriously? Give me a break.
Don't you dare pour any concrete on my doorstep. I just had those new doors installed and I am not about taking any chances with moisture seeping in!
"Oh, look at him. He’s just so handsome, isn't he? So charming. Honestly, it’s like he stepped straight out of a fairy tale—like the kid's some kind of wizard's son or something!"
"The little girl's crying, and I'm stuck here on the Rock—can't get through to you, they won't let me in!"
Sipping on some warm wine and whiskey right now, and honestly? I couldn't care less about the farm or the house. What’s it to me?
So, we're talking about weddings and wives now? Funny how people can live with a complete stranger without breaking a sweat, yet suddenly everything becomes a crisis the moment there's a ring involved.
At home, we’ve got meat hanging from the rafters in the attic to cure—call me what you want, but deep down, I’ve got the soul of a farmer.
> 14. A shot rings out down by the Rio Grande, and old man Ibrahim Selim takes a hit. Get up, man!
"Father from this cold land, go feed those poor, hungry souls."
Sing out, Uncle! Come on, belt it out for us—maybe if you hit a high note, you can finally distract my sister from whatever nonsense she’s obsessing over.
"Chucky, Chucky, Cal, buy me some sandals—just make sure they actually fit this time, Cal!"
"17. Our two brothers, taught by Dad, finally figured out how to handle women!"
It’s finally over. Every single night, I’d sit there watching that plum brandy distill away. Now? I'm just out here crafting every single drink from scratch.
I’m telling you, I am absolutely stuffing him full!
"She's got her own set of struggles, sure, but honestly? The girl’s got hands of gold. She isn't about to rush into anything just because everyone else is panicking."
He just wants to rub it in!
"My little lady’s missing her front teeth—but when she kisses me, man, she'll kill me!"
You take the green light and leave me hanging on red? Man, that traffic signal just tore us apart!
Two thugs go and kill Miles, and now I’m supposed to take heat from some guy just because I was checking out his wife? Give me a break.
> 23. Man, you little rebel. How are you even functioning without that guy? How do you survive without that absolute legend?
Sweet sugar, ice-cold water... come on, baby, while you've still got the chance. Come on, girl, before it's too late.
Hey, look, it’s worth a shot. Why not?
Shallow stream, deep water... isn't that just how life works? You think you've got a handle on things, only to realize you're way out of your depth. Typical.
> 25. Joe's mom was basically running on pure electricity, and now Joe's out here whining about those small-town girls. It’s actually hilarious. He's totally in vogue right now.
Long hair.
Look, I’m no thief, but man... if I had his bank account, I'd be looking for trouble too.
I’d recognize you anywhere, even in a field of three hundred roses—but let’s be real, not every rose is cut from the same cloth!
Milane, my dear, you wouldn't believe it—my old man has gone completely off the deep end. He’s fully armed and ready to take on the world, honestly. He looks like he's about to go scorched earth on everything in sight. God help us all.
God help you if you ever cross my path.
"You can't even whip up a decent pot of chili, let alone watch my kids!"
> 30. The wind’s tossing the boat around, the fish are snapping at the bait, and some lady is strolling right along the shoreline—completely ruining my peace and quiet!
Coca-Cola, Marlboros, Suzuki, hitting the clubs, playing guitar, blasting bagpipes... man, that's the good life right there. That's what it's all about.
> It’s not an ad—honestly, nobody has it better than us!
"32. We'll drink on my tab, we'll be friends, and we'll keep each other from sinking into the blues."
Go ahead and heal yourselves—as far as my desk is concerned, everything is perfectly under control!
> 33. Listen, you need to drop the ball and start playing fair. Stop acting like a wildcat out there and pull those claws back.
Turn that lamb around before you regret it!
"34. A little woman, oh so sweet—she hits you right in the heart. Such a beautiful little woman."
It’s like that old saying: looks can be deceiving—small frame, but a massive soul!
"A man builds his house by making agreements," someone once said. Honestly, looking at how you operate, I’d say you’re barely even digging the foundation.
Way too far!
"The rabbit loves cabbage, the cabbage loves dew, and I love my little girl—dark-haired and barefoot!" Honestly, some folks just have a way with words. It’s poetic, if you ignore how much of a weirdo it sounds when you actually think about it.
Black or blue, black or blue... man, if I only knew which one was the real deal. Honestly, why choose? Just take both.
It’s all or nothing. Either I go all in, or I don't bother at all. I'm taking this all the way to the end!
"Hey little lady, stand on top of that car so I can get a clear shot!"
39. I’m not looking to settle down with just one or two. I’m a man who appreciates the whole spectrum!
Man, I swear, nothing hits quite like a glass of good bourbon. If only every glass was three ounces of pure liquid gold.
Honestly? I wouldn't say no to any of them. Every single one would do me just fine.
> 41. "Hey, you're just a kid, too young for even a kiss!"<
> 42. "The road is long, the car is a junker—listen to me, girl. If you hear that old

I'm guessing either CBS or NBC will pick up the broadcast for this one.
LET'S GO TEAM USA!!!
And I should probably mention one more thing. That matchup against the Spaniards was the first time our pivot players actually stepped up and did something useful. Kudos to Jovica, especially. It feels like we finally added another dimension to our game.👍
