Look, don't even get me started on footwear. 🙂 Italian brands are easily the best in the world when it comes to both design and craftsmanship, but that’s probably not what this sub is for. 🙂
On another note, I actually think these Stella McCartney Reeboks are pretty cool, even if they aren't really my vibe... though I have no idea where they're from. 😬

Total bull. You definitely know some, but they probably make up less than 10% of women. Either you only know three people, or you aren't paying much attention to footwear.😁

The whole reason Chuck Taylors became an icon of the American underground rock scene was specifically because they were affordable. Ian MacKaye and those guys picked them up because they were $15 or $20 back then; nowadays, kids buy them just because they look cool...
Well, I was being ORIGINAL here—I meant they started being worn because they were cheap, not talking about how it is today. :P
Converse and Doc Martens have been staples since before I was even born. Converse because they're dirt cheap, and Docs because they're indestructible—perfect for a quick getaway if things get messy. You never see anyone wearing Nike around, at least not among people who listen to Minor Threat. And those types of people aren't exactly known for changing their habits, especially when it comes to what they wear. 😁
So, they didn't really achieve anything besides becoming a punchline. Honestly, they were just fools for trying.
Luke is pretty much the only one I know who brought edibles on the trip, and he managed to polish off four of them that night—basically a hippie dose. Even then, he wasn't exactly tripping hard; everything just looked a little sketchy to him.

I’m not great at embedding links, but here goes nothing.
It’s... addictive. Skip the philosophy and just listen to the albums three times. If you don't feel like your joints could bend in every direction from the sheer intensity of it, then you'll never get it.
wiredfalcon2 said:I don't quite follow this part. They’re messing around—definitely. They're enjoying themselves—most likely. It’s a circus—true enough. But is it actually good music? Sorry. For me, it was just exhausting. I don't mind long songs, but this felt like constant noise that the drummer was desperately trying to salvage... though... it would be better if he were just playing while everyone else focused on being funny. The guy doing the "vocals" and guitar is just awful. It’s painful to listen to.
So, is it good because it’s alternative, or is it actually good? Do you guys even listen to this at home?
I can't believe that in 2005 I'd still have to argue that this counts as music just because it doesn't sound like everything else 😁... and it's great music, too. Of course I listen to them at home, in the car, everywhere. Honestly, I was the first one jumping for joy when Matt first mentioned they were coming to town...
The Moonlee festival was a total disaster, and those Canadian bands like Entreat or whatever they were playing at the Spider Lounge... absolute desperation. Then you had El Frankenstein and the crew over at KSET.
Watt was easily the highlight, 😍 along with Liars and the rest of them.
