My old setup was some high-end professional gear that cost me a small fortune, but honestly, this free option is actually incredible http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Yeah, you definitely have at least one 5.25" bay left over somewhere.

Why aren't Americans as into this?

Man, I'd love to participate, just someone throw some cash my way.
Safe or full?

Wait, wait... what do you mean "safe or full"?

Look, when I click to make a bootable CD, I hit NEXT and then this pops up:

Since I’ve got Disc Director from Acronis, I just make one bootable CD that handles everything at once.

I hit NEXT,
And that's when you get these options:
Floppy
CD

RIS serverimage

A floppy is way too small for this. If the direct CD burning option gives you any trouble, just create an ISO and burn it using Nero.
It says right there in the bottom right corner: "Create Bootable Rescue Media." Honestly, if everything actually works the way it's supposed to, it’ll be bootable.

The concept makes sense, I guess, but she'd have to go through the hassle of downloading some music converter—like iTunes or something—which feels like a massive waste of time when all she really needs is a single 200-300 KB .dll file.

I pulled it out (okay, my bad—flies are confusing creatures; you never really know their gender 😉). That’s exactly what I mean—whenever I try to remove it (specifically the lame_enc.dll), that little error window pops up.

😳

Just shoot me a DM with your email and I'll send you that lame_enc.dll, because from what I can tell, you don't even have a licensed version of WinRAR installed.
So, did you actually bother to extract the lame_enc.dll from the archive?
😕
Audacity is free software.
Totally.
Just try reinstalling it and grab the latest official release—avoid the beta versions.
So, you're going to have to go ahead and download Audacity. Another day, another missing DLL error. If you're staring at a "lame_enc.dll is missing" prompt, it’s basically the software equivalent of showing up to a party and realizing you forgot your shoes. Just a classic, frustrating little glitch.
So, you just download it and leave the filename exactly as it was.
So, you toss the file into your My Documents folder, and when you go to export your track as an MP3 through Adobe Audition, it’ll throw a little pop-up asking you to locate the lame_enc.dll file. Just hit "YES," hunt it down in that same Documents folder where you saved everything, and you're good to go.
That’s that.
😉

If that post was actually meant for me.
Works fine for me; I download everything without any issues.
Pure nonsense ☕
Imagine watching a movie just to pull it straight out of your browser's cache.

Don't even bother😬. If I were still stuck on dial-up, I wouldn't even call it a video call—it would just be an expensive slideshow.

Nah, I just stumbled upon the idea and wanted to see what people thought since I'd never heard that theory before.

Thank God I don't have to deal with them. 😁

Everything is finally set up and running smoothly—I'm just waiting on those photos to actually upload. But, because I have the grace of a newborn deer, I slipped while tightening a screw and managed to scratch my GPU (which I’d already slapped a >Cooler Master< cooler on because the stock one was driving me absolutely insane). Now, there are these weird lines near my mouse cursor and little blue dots are starting to pop up all over the screen. 😁 😁 😁

Honestly, I'm not even losing sleep over it since it's an old card (a 9600 pro) and it’s probably high time for an upgrade anyway.

Adobe: Actually, on second thought, I might not even bother replacing it. It works fine for what I need right now, and since I cranked up the brightness on everything, I can barely notice the glitches.

This cup holder? 😬

That’s just how I bought it, so tomorrow I’ll be drilling holes in the bottom of the case 😬

Spent today doing my best to manage all the cable clutter behind the motherboard

I'll post some photos tomorrow evening...

Come on, Bryan Wood49, show us yours (not that one with the massive speaker that barely fits in a chassis, but this setup: a Dell Inspiron, an Intel Core i5, a Western Digital Blue 250GB, 2x1GB DDR2, and a GForce 8800GTS)

And no, it’s not a soprano. By the way, I’m heading out to grab some LEDs tomorrow 😁

EDIT:
New avatar 👍

But nothing can actually compete with mine
