maybe at least one of those links actually works...

Nothing's working😢 Napster doesn't have a single stream live. Anyone else?
Anyone got a link for the game?!? Please, someone hook up the unlucky souls over here who don't have a TV right now... DMs are fine too.🙂

Exactly—and it's not even 500k, it's more like 400k for a win and 200k for a draw. That's for the group stage, anyway. At least that's how it worked a couple of years back, unless they tweaked the numbers recently. The qualifying rounds pay way less... basically just enough to move on...

Windows 32-bit applications??? in Software ·

Make sure you actually read the readme on that site before you try installing anything...

Windows 32-bit applications??? in Software ·
Alright, but how the hell am I supposed to actually run this thing now? Anyone got a clue? I need the full breakdown if possible... Come on, tech wizards, help me out here 👍
Windows 32-bit applications??? in Software ·
redheron12, no offense, but what are you even talking about? Almost every single installer uses InstallShield—I don't know if it's some industry standard or whatever—but whenever you're setting up a game or software, it’s always right there doing the heavy lifting. It isn't actually the issue... I was just listing everything on the icon in case it helped anyone out. The real headache is that it claims to be a Win32 application, yet my "brilliant" Windows XP with Service Pack 1 keeps insisting it's not a "valid Win32 application." Damned Windows 😠 😠

So, I copied the files from the disc onto my hard drive and tried running the setup directly from there, but I'm getting the exact same error message.

@redheron12/">@@redheron12

Here’s what shows up under the setup.exe icon—it’s in that thin, kind of washed-out font... you know the one I mean.
"32-bit setup launcher
InstallShield software Corporation"

No clue why it won't launch... just stuck...
Windows 32-bit applications??? in Software ·
I'm pretty sure I'm running Windows XP 32-bit here. The file itself isn't busted—it worked just fine on a 98 machine—and the disc looks clean, barely even got a scratch on it. My CD-ROM drive reads it without any issues, the autorun kicks in perfectly, and everything seems to be cruising along smoothly... until it hits the point where it actually tries to launch setup.exe, and then it just throws this error at me...

Every time I try to run a setup.exe—specifically for Jane's fleet command this time, though it’s the same old story with most of these vintage titles—I get hit with that "setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application" error message. Tried messing around with compatibility mode, but no luck there... just a dead end. I'm running Windows XP. Honestly, I have no clue what that error is actually trying to tell me, but it feels pretty useless at this point. I mean, I know I'm on a Windows 32-bit platform... any ideas? 😢

But whatever, I'll try to answer the folks who actually care.
To complete a circuit, you need a loop.
Basically, the current goes from the positive terminal in the right hand, through the body—straight through the heart—and hits the negative terminal on the left hand.
The human body varies, obviously—some people might feel a voltage as low as 1 Volt, though it really depends on whether we're talking DC or AC and what the frequency is.
The amperage and how long the shock lasts are huge factors too.
Some people are super sensitive—12V could potentially kill them under the right circumstances—while others can shrug off a few thousand volts...
Just don't go playing around like you're some mad scientist in a lab.
If you get hit, you risk cardiac fibrillation—feel free to correct me if any of the medical details are off...
That's when the heart starts fluttering uncontrollably and things go south fast.
Then you have to try and defibrillate the heart with another shock, and well... if you're lucky, you wake up. If not? Peace out.

Bottom line:
Our friend placidtrucker47 heard something about this somewhere and is now just poking at both the experts and the amateurs.
placidtrucker47 is probably just someone's clone.
And honestly, that's more of a psychiatric issue than anything else...

And why does the circuit have to go from the plus in one hand through the body to the minus in the other??? If you grab a power source with one hand—say your thumb is on the positive and any other finger is on the negative—you still have a closed circuit. So yeah, it's totally possible.

What kind of symptoms am I looking at with radiation poisoning from those computers—how bad does this actually get—and what’s the move once you realize you're in trouble?

So, what actually is Echinacea?
Flu shots [PLEASE READ FIRST POST!] in Health ·
Let me jump in here with a few more questions—can I actually get the shot if I’m feeling kind of under the weather? Like, if this is even the flu (honestly, who knows)... it's just that my nose is running a bit, and my throat gets this weird sensation—it's not even really "pain," more like this constant, nagging tightness that comes and goes, I don't even know how else to put it... and lastly, I don't think I have a fever, but I haven't checked, and I don't feel hot or anything, so I don't know...
Advice please.😕
Five plus, five, and soccer on TV in Soccer ·
Seriously, what’s so terrible about that five plus show anyway?
Instead of just giving those surface-level previews for every match, they're actually diving deep into the details now—and they aren't just cherry-picking games played on Sunday nights to fill the slot. Plus, the old five-hour block used to run for maybe an hour or ninety minutes, whereas this thing drags on for four hours, sometimes even longer... and obviously, you can't have all four hours dedicated strictly to soccer (though, let's be real, most of the time it is). There's also a prize giveaway that's actually decent. If you're dying to get the old version back, stop complaining and start flooding PBS with emails. You know how it goes:

Grapefruit and medication interactions in Health ·
This is actually a pretty interesting rabbit hole. I’ve been wondering what the best way to take these pills actually is—like, what should I be pairing them with? Specifically, I'm talking about the usual stuff you grab when you're dealing with the flu, a nasty cold, or whatever other seasonal junk is going around.
