The whole sauna situation is a complete joke. And don't even get me started on the social safari they've got going on. God, Kset is absolutely screwing us over.
Adam Moore said:was it just me, or did it feel like she was absolutely terrified of him, like she was staring down the devil himself, kind of like how Mark E. Smith acted at that last show? I mean, one girl’s grabbing the mic, another’s shredding on the synth, and then there's the one just completely tearing the drums apart 🤣—honestly, the whole vibe was killer.
John Young89 said:LMAO, seriously though, I am absolutely losing it right now!!!! Thank God that idiot was stuck a few rows behind me, because I actually had the privilege of listening to the entire set without his mouth constantly getting in my ear.
Must be nice. ☕ I pulled back right around the halfway point.
John Young89 said:I mean, honestly, it’s just straight-up moronic that he played that same track twice. Like, what was the point? It’s beyond stupid. This guy has seven albums packed with actual solid material, and thank God he didn't touch any of them last night. So, if I actually take a second to wrap my head around it, the whole set was a total train wreck. And don't even get me started on those twitchy movements he was making—it looked like he was in the middle of a Huntington's flare-up or something. It was honestly a bit much to watch.
Honestly, I don't get it either. Man, he’s sitting there with a massive pile of stuff just waiting to be played, and instead, he just shreds through Ace of Spades twice and calls it a day. What a joke. 🤷 Man, what an absolute blowout. Total carnage.
Huntington's finally stepped up their game. 👍 The only thing even worth debating here is eye movement. 😍
yyy ***** (I’ve got them on repeat right now, so maybe my rating is biased, but man, what a set. Total Sju vibes mixed with that classic drugstore energy) art brut ***** (Since Mark Smith is clearly circling the drain at this point, these guys could actually be a legit successor in a few years) ff ****1/2 (Tight, solid performance. They aren't exactly my personal favorites, but they absolutely crushed their set) rokia traore **** (Not really my scene, honestly, but it was a killer performance. A seriously pleasant surprise)
The mid-tier disappointments:
kraftwerk *** (The classics still rule, I guess) tricky *** (Total bummer because he looked absolutely wasted... but honestly, I just got screwed by the idiots throwing bottles at the stage. Screw those losers, Jose White23. The absolute low point of the whole thing was some pathetic loser screaming, "Get out of here, boy, let us see your junk" at the performer) moby *** (A little too much techno-lite for my taste)
The total disasters:
editors * (Pretentious garbage) nešto garcia * (What, we're doing salsa and ska now? WTF? Why the hell would you play that trash for two straight hours?)
Didn't catch anything else. Overall, the festival organization was surprisingly decent... aside from that mess during the Tricky to Moby transition, I had zero complaints about the timing.

Kyle Jackson54 said:Look, man, I'm telling you, San Francisco hits way harder—like three times over—than The Beach Boys ever could. But hey, who am I to judge? I’m basically an expert after listening to exactly one (!) single track. That one song just captured all the pure misery in the world.
What, did the bottom tier of the charts hit you where it hurts?
If we're talking about more recent bands, The Beach Boys definitely fit the bill, and you really gotta give Black Kids a spin too.
I honestly don't get why everyone is obsessing over The Beach Boys, but to me, it's just some chill music you can blast while you're hanging out without having to do way too much thinking. I mean, look, we can't—and frankly, we don't want to—be stuck listening to political protest songs all damn day, right? :indicajka: :kahva:
People were out there talking today about how it’s officially Mrs. Rojs' big day, so yeah, I figured I’d jump in and throw some congratulations her way too 🙂
