Shrek or Monsters, Inc.? in Movies ·
Melissa Moore32 🙏

Monsters, Inc. is definitely the winner; I've never been particularly big on Shrek.

YES!

The fastest way to watch is just nodding along to the intense parts... the bloody start.

Does it feature fast cars, or even faster women?

Kiss of the Vampire

Yeah, thanks.

This last post has nothing to do with anything.
I must have just thought of something else...
But then again, your reply doesn't really relate to anything either, unless we're talking about Nicholas.

Uhmmmmmm no...are you Madonna?

I don't have a title.
But this vampire movie reminded me of an old film starring Nicolas Cage where he thinks he's a vampire, avoids the sun on the street, and bites people with those cheap plastic gas station vampire teeth... man, that was a hilarious movie.
Does anyone know the name? And when will they air those nights with Cage again? Maybe they'll bring them back on TV soon...

Anyway, when on earth is this movie actually hitting theaters? Most of the rest of the world has had the DVD out since January 6th. I feel like we've been thrown back into the distant past—like it's 2000 again—where everyone else is watching the movie while we're just sitting here waiting.

Do you live in Washington, D.C.?
No?
Doesn't matter, releases aren't always on time here either.

I’m sitting there watching these mindless American music videos when suddenly, out of nowhere, a video pops up using clips from Underworld! "Seriously?" I thought. It’s common practice... well, it USED to be common practice, where if you use movie scenes in a video, the song actually has SOME connection to the plot. But now? I’m listening to this track featuring Underworld footage, and the lyrics are just completely soulless—something like "working nine to five, what a way to make a living!" or whatever. BUT! The connection becomes blindingly obvious very soon because this is a song by Bart! HA! There you have it, folks! IT’S OBVIOUS! Bart is actually the main werewolf from Underworld, and he’s just hiding out in a small town in the Midwest because nobody's going to look for him there! No wonder he wanted those movie scenes in his video! QED! Q.! E.! D.!

Regards,

Fine, let it be Bart, though he reminds me more of Thompson lately.
Mozhda, Bart has just assimilated into Thompson.
Fewer taxes to pay.
I really hope we can all agree on shutting down AMC Theatres and bringing in a high-quality international multiplex instead, so we can finally enjoy a proper cinematic experience.
slyowl9 said:I went to an AMC Theatres screening on Saturday and everything was fine enough. The intermission came at a good time, nothing crazy happened, and every minute was accounted for. If it had been a total disaster, I would have gone looking for someone in charge to demand an explanation and a refund.

The Broadway theater really let me down because they seem to be having major technical issues. During the December 28th showing of Return of the king, the audio cut out so badly at times it nearly ruined the entire experience.

I know plenty of other people noticed similar problems during different screenings too.

My experience at AMC Theatres was perfectly fine, though it would've been better without all those commercials.
But whatever.
On Sunday, I hit up Broadway and felt like they were already running out of excuses—the sound was off from the very start. To make matters worse, there were these weird black spots on the screen throughout most of the movie.
That digital print is definitely defective.
Gregory Green32 said:Looking at the last few posts here, I am honestly stunned by how "they" handle issues—just total silence. It’s like nobody feels even the slightest obligation to apologize for these problems, let alone actually do anything to fix them.
It also makes me wonder: what can we, as dissatisfied customers, actually do besides boycotting their theaters?

Boycotting won't get you anywhere; they aren't going to feel the sting.
Besides, there are plenty of other theaters out there if someone doesn't feel like going to AMC Theatres.

I've only ever seen Thelma & Louise, and honestly, it’s such a great movie. I can't quite remember all the details, though... I really need to borrow a copy sometime... that one scene in the bathtub definitely stuck with me.
I've been there a few times now, and so far, I'm liking the theater... definitely the best one in town.
Though, honestly, that smallest auditorium over at Broadway is my favorite spot.
The duo of William H. Macy and Tom Cruise... they’re basically mega heroes
plus having Jerry Stiller and Jason Alexander as sidekicks

casualotter21 said:Vampire: The Masquerade... So, the movie is essentially about a war between two clans—or species, or whatever—werewolves versus vampires, who couldn't be more different if they tried. The vampires are what you'd call Lawful Evil in D&D terms: methodically, systematically evil and incredibly decadent. You can tell by the fact that their Death Squads all sport those classic Gestapo-style trench coats, and instead of regular targets at the shooting range, they have these 300-year-old statues standing there (imagine them saying, "Yes, I'm a vampire! Life is a total mess! Here, kid, go ahead and suck on this cigarette!"). Plus, the vampires live in a manor that’s basically one giant brothel. Everything is super feminine, filled with these incredibly hot women dressed in 1920s black lace outfits. Running the whole brothel is the absolute PIMP-orrrrrr!!111 known—quite appropriately—as Kraven...

That’s exactly why I want to be a vampire...

casualotter21 said:He just loves everything tacky and gaudy: I'm talking diamond-encrusted shirts and enough cheap jewelry to make a Vegas high roller blush...
Every guy out there always seems to have at least two Hos and Bitches following him around...
A little tip for when Kate Beckinsale starts catching feelings for a client: "Yo, yo, yo, pretty vampire momma! You aren't giving him up for nothing!"

I honestly thought he looked up to Elvis Presley, but it turns out the guy's just a total creep...

casualotter21 said:We also know they’re definitely Chaotic Evil because their whole goal is just pure, unadulterated mayhem!!!! It's 100% certain because when that guy first showed up, half the audience in the theater was basically screaming, "What kind of maniac is this?!!!!" We all know what he's like, so you can only imagine the kind of werewolves he's running with! Also, I finally get why he could just snuff out those cigarettes on his chest in that music video... I mean, the guy is a freaking werewolf.

Look, I called out Thompson because he looks almost identical—just a bit thinner—so he reminds me of Bareta. If you haven't noticed, Thompson is wearing that badge around his neck...

casualotter21 said:Too bad about the Jaguar.

There was just one single scene that actually pushed me to the point of tears...

casualotter21 said:I also think she absolutely loves slamming both sides of double doors open dramatically, since she does that at least four times in the movie. She’s so obsessed with it that she practically forgets how to use normal doors—she’d rather just kick them wide open every single time. And then her PIMP-orrrrrr tells her she doesn't know how to enjoy the little things in (un)life!

It’s not even about me personally, but more about those moments in a massive estate where someone incredibly important is walking in a group of four or five—or maybe just Kat by herself—and this absolutely killer track starts playing. Everyone just watches them stride from one side of the hallway to the other... exactly four times...
