Traditional Chinese Medicine in Health ·
Traditional Chinese medicine revolves around three main pillars:
-herbal remedies
-acupuncture
-massage therapy

Why don't we have anything similar here? Why do we blindly copy the West in everything, even when modern medicine is increasingly struggling to keep up with alternative approaches? 😲
How do I quit smoking? in Health ·
Henry Wilson48 said:Fair point, but what should I actually expect? Any ideas on how I can make things easier for him? Thanks!!!

Just walk away and find someone who isn't into smoking. 👍

I know a girl who dealt with something very similar and managed to get it all sorted out.👍

So when are they going to do the same for pedophilia?

Is it classified as a disorder or not? How do doctors actually explain it?

Not from the church or a political group, but from actual doctors. 😉

Good luck 👋

Most doctors aren't going to give you the real truth anyway.
Henry Wilson48 said:I just don't get the whole multi-level marketing thing. I'm a straight shooter and I have my own views on it. It's pretty obvious it's not my cup of tea. 😢 🙂

And do you love me? 😎

I heard that if you fall from a skyscraper, you might catch an antenna on the way down and end up disemboweled before you even hit the ground. 🙄

Give me a break, people...

😂
Sandra Moore said:I’m set for life at this job—plenty of reasons to stay—but those people? That whole work culture? It’s just awful.

That sounds terrible! My office is pure bliss; everyone gets along so well. Honestly, it’s been so friendly that some coworkers have even started flirting with me.
🙂

What makes you say that?
Henry Wilson48 said:A little bit of everything.😳

By the way, since I started meditating, I’ve realized just how much of a neurotic, anxious mess I actually am. Hopefully, this practice helps.😢 🙂

It won't.👎

Your problem goes much deeper than that.

Come see me. I can help you.😁

It might be vitiligo—I think that's what they call the condition? There are actually treatments available for it.
Sandra Moore said:The poor guy listened to me vent for days; it actually became part of his daily routine once he got home from work: just hearing about how my day went. 😬

Poor guy. It’s not easy on him either. 🙏
violent_femmes9 said:No way, he’s just that guy Sandra Moore tore apart for trying to push some pyramid scheme on the forum. Now he’s actually trying to come back.

Edward Price73, don't be dense. You're better off staying quiet. 🙂

I'm not complaining; I'm doing just fine.

🙂

Sandra Moore, what do you actually know about this personally?

Just because you're working in "paradise" doesn't mean everyone else is.

👎

Honestly, I couldn't care less.🙂
Sandra Moore said:There’s zero small talk at this job. No real conversation at all, just a few lazy chats once a month filled with clichés and empty promises. Once people actually start talking, it turns into arguments and ends in drunken chaos.

That sounds awful. My advice? Find a new job before you lose your mind.

Today I realized that wars are inevitable.

In my workplace, everyone is a friend. We have so much love and respect for one another—it’s truly beautiful. 🙂

Am I being rude? Am I a sane person, or am I crazy for getting myself into these situations?

I know the truth, but I won't tell you because I don't want to offend you. 🙂

My boss is definitely irritated; he’s going to be pissed at me for a while, which helps nobody. He's mad because I asked him to do his job—to actually move things forward, both professionally and personally. It means either you accept a status quo that hurts you, or you swallow a toxic atmosphere...

😕

Oh boy, those are some heavy words...😲

No surprise there.

If she's serious about eating healthy, the smartest move would be following a Mediterranean diet, playing around with different food combos, and picking up jogging or another sport. Her approach actually sounds much more sensible than your starvation plan. 🙄

Her biggest hurdle is mental. She’s stubborn and just doesn't believe in positive outcomes.

Lisa Ortiz17 said:If you walk into any local farm supply store, you'll hear the same thing about the biggest issue with industrial farming: they're using herbicides on everything, including onions! It’s just easier than actually weeding, and honestly, people couldn't care less about following the safety wait times before harvest.

Exactly. Or maybe some middleman picked up this stuff from god-knows-where.

Plant-based stuff. All natural and healthy.

It’s not actually impossible to eat healthy these days. If you just cut out pork, sunflower oil, alcohol, chocolate, pastries, pancakes, and butter... you'll be fine. The real issue is that most unhealthy food tastes way better than the healthy stuff. You can find millions of recipes online or in books for diets that are definitely healthy.

It’s possible, but tough for a lot of people. Take folks living in massive cities like NYC—they have no clue what they're actually buying at the local markets. Or think about an elderly woman dealing with brittle bones who needs calcium; she isn't going to go out and eat a bag of seitan. She needs something that works fast.

Your friend who weighs 250 lbs can lose weight without starving herself. She just needs a massive amount of willpower and persistence.

That's hard. She needs something to help her flush all those toxins out of her system, and she's carrying about sixty pounds of them. She needs a specific product for that.
