It’s always a pleasure to dive into a bunch of suggestions on how things could be better

The OP went ahead and asked for a title that actually reflects how things stand right now
😁

it’s pretty obvious you’re just terrified of change

both of them went down 🤷

Fine, have it your way.

Look, when I’m typing out stuff in bold like this, I’m just being a normal guy on a message board, nothing more, nothing less.

Austin Parker8, why wouldn't I? This is exactly what this place is for, isn't it? A spot where people can actually speak their minds and leave a comment if they feel like it.

From what I can tell, even the mods have been playing it a bit too safe on this thread
but if the topic had just been nuked and you’d been slapped with a warning, you’d probably be sitting here claiming they won't tolerate any criticism, and you wouldn't dare mention the actual way you went about starting the whole thing in the first place
you see, it's usually that total lack of self-awareness that makes people convinced the moderators are out to get them or making excuses for their own behavior
the truth is, the mods are elected by the community, and honestly, most of them would probably rather spend their time actually debating everyone else instead of dealing with the headache of managing the board

Even with all that noise they're making, the guy won't budge an inch unless he sees cash upfront, and he’s certainly not grilling burgers in some local grocery store
🙂
I hate to say it, but I think everything's been laid out clearly here, and now this whole thing is starting to feel like nothing more than petty haggling and gamesmanship

Gary Williams47, look, that’s just a call made by the forum owner at the top level.
I already told you that there isn't much we can actually do about it on our end.

Gary Williams47 said:So, you seeing this now, hollowtrucker77? People can come up with a million different excuses if they want to, but when it comes to having actual backbone, apparently that’s just too much to ask from your crowd... honestly, go ahead and take it up with the moderator, and if you've actually got some grit, try having a civil conversation with him for once... might be a useful life lesson for you down the road.

I'm pretty damn sure the admin is going to see eye to eye with me on this one.
😉

And besides, his reasoning is solid as a rock, which isn't exactly news to anyone paying attention.

I went ahead and scrubbed that post from the board, just like I did with your offensive little outburst

So you’ve got a chef's knife sitting in your kitchen drawer, right?
The thing is sharp, and its whole purpose in life is to slice through stuff.
I mean, if you aren't using it to cut things in the kitchen, then what is the point of having a kitchen or a sharp knife in the first place? It just doesn't make sense.

Keeping the conversation on track is what moderators are actually paid for, I guess.

If we’re actually going to address that question properly, I suppose we first need to establish the context in which everything is unfolding, don't we?
It is an entirely different matter altogether to consider what this group actually intended to pull off, fueled by their own inflated sense of self-importance—unless, of course, you’re going to try and convince me that this was some spontaneous movement where everyone just happened to share the exact same thought at the exact same time?

Honestly, this is elementary school level logic, and frankly, it’s becoming a bit embarrassing having to sit here and explain the obvious to you over and over again.

Since you all seem to have mastered the art of quoting me, I’m assuming you can actually manage to read what’s inside those quotes too.
It shouldn't be this much of a mental marathon for anyone with even a basic education to grasp the point I was making—that little "one-two punch" aimed right at the center—nor should it be difficult to understand the part where I said, "I hope that..."

And let's not even get started on the ridiculous notion that people should be allowed to stir up trouble in politics or engage in all this endless whining now that things have finally been kept under control.
Do you honestly think you need a formal apology because your little schemes didn't pan out the way you planned?
Or do you genuinely believe that everything should just slide by simply because you show up in a pack, thinking your numbers somehow give you a license to act however you please?

I feel sorry for this group, really, but this kind of behavior isn't going to fly, not from you and not from anyone else, regardless of who is running the site or who the moderators happen to be.
The constant exaggeration of minor issues and this non-stop cycle of bickering amongst yourselves has become, quite frankly, exhausting and completely unnecessary.

Look, they aren't irrelevant, but let’s not pretend they’re some kind of untouchable icon, especially if they're just going to stir up trouble here
I feel like I’ve made it more than clear, probably more times than I can count, that anyone who actually wants to jump into the discussions and contribute to the forum is more than welcome
By that same token, people who think they can just show up, cause chaos, and create nothing but headaches are absolutely not welcome

hahahahhahahahhahaha
and honestly, that’s about as world-class an explanation as you’re gonna get, I mean, what even is--
🙂
people with half a brain cell know exactly why PMing exists
😉

but seriously, the site policy is pretty set in stone regarding profiles not being deleted, so there isn't much I can do about it either

So, what’s actually the big difference for you if you just decide to stop hanging out on this forum altogether?
The only real upside I can see here is that you might finally free up a username for someone else to use.

Gary Williams47, how exactly do you think that’s supposed to work?
I mean, you go through the trouble of dropping a few hundred or even a couple thousand posts, and then some moderator or admin just decides to hit the delete button, and what happens to everyone who actually sat there and had a conversation with you? It all just vanishes, doesn't it?
