Look, let’s get one thing straight: this thread isn't about anyone's specific political leanings, regardless of what they might be. And honestly, I'm not quite sure how to break this to you gently, but the era of one-track minds is dead and buried; this forum is meant to be a space where people actually write things down and engage in discussion. As long as everyone stays within the bounds of basic decency, you’re more than welcome here, though I suppose the various ideological inquisitions—whether they're wearing red, black, or any other color—will just have to sit tight and wait for their turn to cause trouble again. If we're lucky, we'll all just hold our breath together while we wait.
Sarah Wilson95, they basically move threads over to a madhouse depending on how heated the debate gets, just so one side doesn't end up gaining the upper hand, I suppose. And honestly, I don't see any logic in the idea that if one topic gets moved, another one has to follow suit; I certainly don't see what any of that has to do with the Constitution or having any shred of respect for anything at all. And please, just show a little bit of dignity and some actual piety toward the victims, or at least toward those who were innocent.
As I’ve already made clear on more than one occasion, if you actually want the specifics, just reach out via the address I provided up there earlier As far as I’m concerned, you guys can go ahead and write your little messages in neon lights for all I care 🙂
So, look, obviously he isn’t going to get banned just for running an ad; they’ll probably tolerate a little bit of spamming, basically giving him enough rope to actually pitch his product... Of course, if someone starts acting completely out of line or getting abusive, that wouldn't be tolerated or allowed under any circumstances.
Look, I’m just sticking to what I laid out above if anyone actually wants to run an ad around here, do the right thing and coordinate with the marketing department or the owner first, then you can go ahead and sing your own praises all you want 🙂
that’s clearly a sponsored handle it’s pretty obvious when someone just wants to push an agenda, pays for the privilege, and then hops on the forum to talk about it like they aren't just running a glorified commercial
If you’re looking to snag one of those green usernames, just shoot an email over to marketing@politico.com where you can hash out all the specifics and settle on a price that works for everyone.
Look, you’re more than welcome to just stop showing up to this forum altogether if that's what you want whether you decide to stick around or just disappear into the void is entirely on you, I don't care
So, is this whole long-winded performance just your way of announcing you're done posting on Reddit? Anyway, whether you decide to stick around or disappear into thin air is entirely up to you, though as long as you're actually typing stuff out, you're still playing by the moderators' rules, so, really, do whatever you want.
I can’t exactly argue that there isn't some logic to it, since it would certainly clear out a decent amount of the garbage and those lightning-fast threads that pop up out of nowhere then again, maybe we wouldn't see some of the better discussions popping up either 🙂 but hey, whatever the case may be, it’s probably worth sitting down and actually having a real conversation about the whole thing
And what exactly is so wrong with someone just starting a new thread? I don't see how that has anything to do with a person's post count, either. A topic is either worth reading or it isn't, simple as that.
asr, look, the card you just pulled is actually pretty clean, and usually, when people post stuff like that, they’re just looking for someone to troll them for fun but this post right above mine? yeah, don't ever do something like that again, seriously
My apologies once again for the delay in getting this thread back on track. Look, the mods weren't around when that whole ugly mess broke out in the discussion, and by the time we actually showed up to clean things up, everything had already spiraled out of control. At that point, the most logical move to minimize the damage for everyone involved was simply to wipe those nasty posts and the equally unpleasant replies from them off the map. It’s really nobody's intention to just go around banning five or six users all at once if there's any way to avoid it. That said, we’re going to be keeping a much closer eye on the people who have clearly identified themselves as habitual agitators and trolls.
Nancy Watson82, look, I owe you an apology for being late to the party here. I'm going to make a genuine effort to actually show up when I say I will, starting pretty much immediately.
