Yeah, I've got my doubts too. I know you're just a clone, and I know exactly whose clone you are—not that I'm saying it here, since you actually admitted it yourself.
I'm not gonna call you out publicly, though. Wouldn't want to mess with your privacy or anything. 😍

Alright, it’s time to cast your votes again.
Even though I gave you guys two full weeks to get your thoughts down—and honestly, I was expecting a lot more homework from you all—this isn't half bad. 🙂

Ethan Hayes2 said:I see. So, 🙂 you essentially slap a troll label on a moderator and claim it somehow relates to a thread titled "Do You Believe You Deserve Love"? How exactly does that connection work? 🙂

How can the accusation "you're a troll" accompanied by a troll meme possibly relate to the subject matter without being, in itself, a form of trolling?

That isn't a comment on the topic at hand; it's a direct jab at the moderator, Jacob Wood9. 😉 The point of the thread isn't "Is Jacob Wood9 the troll of the year, right?" 😁

She could have easily sent that exact sentiment via private message instead.

I disagree. She absolutely would. She'd likely end up with a warning.

Do you actually agree with Libertango's assessment regarding the moderator, Jacob Wood9?

Thanks for the advice. 🙂 Personally, I’d recommend you follow the lead of Herbicidna and learn to balance your energy between serious discourse and lighthearted wit. Find some middle ground.

In my view, scrutinizing the criteria for what constitutes trolling is a shared responsibility we all hold as a community on this Forum.

I wrote up a response to that question. Just so we're clear, Jacob Wood9 isn't a mod.

Look, saying "you're just trolling, and you've been at it for years" doesn't actually connect to the topic at hand. It’s not even a real argument—it's just pure, unadulterated trolling in itself.

You haven't been around this Forum long enough. If you stuck with us more often, you’d run into posts like this all the time, and they wouldn't seem nearly as shocking to you.
I think she would. She’d definitely be getting a red card for that one.

I honestly think you’ve got way too much time on your hands. But look, I don't have any actual receipts to back that up. 🤷
And according to all that, my opinion doesn't mean squat.

Do you actually agree with what Libertango said about that moderator, Jacob Wood9?

That doesn't even matter.

Thanks for the tip.🙂 Look, if I were you, I’d take a page out of Herbicidna's book. You need to start putting as much effort into your serious posts as you do into the jokes. Find some middle ground.

Yeah, you definitely haven't spent enough time hanging out with us.

Ethan Hayes2 said:Speaking of double standards...

This particular sentiment is being directed by one female member toward a former moderator. Quite possibly for good reason, if you ask her. Yet, strangely enough, even that specific post escaped any disciplinary action, despite clearly falling under the category of off-topic spam or outright trolling.

Specifically, we are looking at the thread titled "Why do you think you deserve love?" Now, in what context was this post actually made?

If this little snippet had been posted by Herbicidna instead of Libertango, would she have faced a penalty, or would we be sitting here in silence?

The whole point here is that Libertango thinks Jacob Wood9 is just trolling with that specific topic. And honestly? It’s working, because people are still biting and replying to it.
So, yeah, that's just her take on the thread.

If this image had been posted by Herbicidna instead of Libertango, would she have been banned or not?

No, she wouldn't. Unless she was going around every single thread dumping posts like that.
Libertango is actually a productive member of this community, and there's a real point behind what she said.
Maybe try taking a page out of her book and spend more energy actually contributing to discussions rather than hunting for mistakes made by the mods. Especially when you're looking for problems where they don't exist.

Yeah. And I’d go a step further and say most of those situations get sorted out without even involving the higher-ups. Usually through the Prime Minister's Office.
Basically, people only end up escalating things to the top when they can't settle it with the local mods.

Frank Williams7 said:You're delusional. 🤣

No, that’s not what I meant. I was just demonstrating how this "discussion" actually works. I just skimmed through the first quarter of the thread again to be sure, but I get the gist. The first "victim" who tried to offer a different perspective was von Teese. After getting mocked by the same little clique of users over and over, she just gave up. Then there was Velia. She ended up starting her own separate thread because she was clearly fed up with the trolling in this one. It’s funny how the provocations throughout the whole thread pretty much come from the same handful of people.

Then I jumped in. I stayed longer, tried to frame a different viewpoint. But everything kept being dragged down to a personal level. Other users chimed in too, including some kid whose small and thin dick is basically a psychological complex. He even started a poll because of this thread—and what happened? He backed off. No other choice. 🙂

There are certain posts here I'd rather not quote.

Do you honestly still think the way people are talking in this thread is okay? Or should users here learn that they're all replaceable? That they shouldn't "ripple" against the tide? It reminds me of "learned helplessness." It's that concept where you're never right unless you have actual power or belong to the majority. No matter what you write, you're wrong. 🙂

And let's not forget—I didn't set a condition. I made a suggestion. I did it specifically because of how this thread is playing out—just the same few people circling the drain over and over.

Sophia Thomas7 said:I could easily play the victim here and report this for harassment, regardless of the emoji used, but like Apophis said—this isn't an insult, let alone a serious one.

I’d suggest you stop dragging other members into this to back up your point if they aren't actually chiming in. I have my doubts that Velia left because of any provocations, and honestly, I didn't get that impression from von Teese either.

Look, I get what you're saying about the "same old users," but honestly? It feels like most of the provocations around here usually start with you—like that last stunt where you were demanding everyone "post a picture."

If you come to this forum looking for help but expect everyone to agree with you—or worse, if you expect people to baby you with some patronizing attitude—then you’ve seriously misjudged how things work here. I’m not about to go around banning or deleting posts just because some guy is having a psychological meltdown over having a small and thin dick. If he isn't getting a "there, there, it'll be alright" pat on the head from everyone else, that's just life.

This forum is always going to have threads involving logical bifurcations, and because of that, people are eventually going to pick a side (if they feel forced to). If you decide on a position and stick to it—well, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to defend it.

Fair enough. If someone wants to turn themselves into a meme, they can, but the suggestion to lock the thread is rejected.

No, they aren't. If I followed your logic, I would have banned your posts ages ago, but I don't because I don't consider them insulting. As for discrediting other people's views, you're doing the exact same thing.

Frank Williams7 said:Sure, someone could try to twist my words or take them out of context to make me look bad, but since calling someone "delusional" isn't technically an insult, I shouldn't be getting hit with a ban or a warning for it. Thanks.

I’ve got my doubts about Velia leaving just because someone poked the bear. As for VonTeese, I didn't really get that vibe from them.

She started this thread because she was basically calling out colbert's posts, but hey, if Velia wants to clear things up, she can. VonTeese could weigh in too, if they feel like it.

Look, I'm with you on that whole "same old users" thing. Honestly, most of the trolling around here seems to start with you anyway—just like that last stunt where you were begging everyone to "post a picture."

Why is everyone calling this a provocation? I even offered to post my own photo. Seriously. A thread dedicated to voting on who has the smallest junk is a provocation. Bringing up eunuchs after I just spent all that time laying out my actual stance is a provocation. And those condescending little comments calling my points "clichés" or "empty phrases"? Yeah, those are provocations too.

If you come to this forum looking for help but expect everyone to agree with you or play nice, you’re living in some kind of fantasy land. I'm not about to go around banning people or deleting posts just because some kid with a small and thin dick is having a psychological meltdown over his size. I'm not going to sit here and pat him on the shoulder like, "there there, it will all be okay." Not happening.

Niko didn't even ask for this. Honestly, we could probably cut down on the constant obsession with inches—you know, that weird habit where people assume a lack of size automatically means a lack of function. And let’s stop calling people "losers" just because they don't make length their top priority in the bedroom. It's exhausting.

Fair enough. If you want to turn into a picture, go right ahead. But if you're asking me why they won't just lock the thread? Well, because they won't. Simple as that.

Works for me.

You’re doing the exact same thing when it comes to trashing everyone else's opinions.

Where’s the smear campaign?

Back then, you claimed the guy had been to prison. In my next post, I deleted that link and explained how I’d actually found it. Look, I’m not perfect, but I’m not too incompetent to admit when I messed up.

But I didn't go around diagnosing you with a psychotic disorder.

The mods can review everything—the whole discussion, really—to see how your posts and behavior triggered those comments. Then they can decide if it counts as harassment or not and act according to the site rules.

Apophis, what you're saying goes way beyond this forum. 🙂

It’s not some special diagnosis.

Are you writing this as just another user, or are you claiming to be qualified to make these calls?

I mean, when someone claims they're being "stalked and followed" where nothing is happening, or when mentioning "fortune telling" in a thread about dicks is seen as an attack on Canadians, certain conclusions are just forced upon you. Someone with actual analytical skills should be able to see that.
Especially since this person is out here diagnosing others with Narcissistic Personality Disorder, which clearly makes them an expert.
Otherwise, it's just hypocrisy and double standards.

What are you getting at? Are you still standing by all this? 🙂

On one thread, I said a user showed plenty of signs of NPD. But I realized I was wrong, and I told him straight to his face.

My goal was just to show the other side of things—that the insults were clearly mutual, if there even were any.

Where exactly did you feel insulted by me?

I didn't walk away from that thread because of provocations. I left for the same reason I leave almost every discussion on LES (like that one about the unwritten rules for men)—because people either lack the will or the actual brainpower to argue using logic instead of just taking cheap shots at someone personally.
Look, I know I'm an idiot. Every once in a while, some topic on LES catches my eye and I dive in, only to end up regretting it every single time. 😳

As for the thread I started, that was triggered by the general vibe of users on LES lately—everyone acting like they're some god-tier lover or a perfect, insatiable pro. It wasn't specifically because of colbert. Honestly, I didn't even see her posts aimed at me as a provocation, even though I usually disagree with her.

Since I'm still lurking in that thread, I'll answer here: that's Dell in the photo, and if you saw Phibsov's and Apophis's photo, it would probably shatter your preconceptions even more, assuming Dell managed to pull it off with his. 😉

Honestly, my ambitions have leveled up. I’m actually thinking we should open up a dedicated subforum for American Language and Literature, if that's even on the table. 😁

I’ve gone and done it. I’ve officially created a monster. 😲 😁

Look, the idea sounds solid to me, I'll give you that. But honestly? I have zero clue if there’s actually enough interest to make it worth the hassle. I'm guessing there would be some traction, though—probably at least among the students over at the Linguistics Department. 😁
Honestly, I think we should give a shot to anyone actually willing to put in the work to level up this forum. If someone’s ready to step up and breathe some life back into those dead subforums that haven't seen action in ages, I'm all for it. I'm backing the idea. 🙂

I still wouldn't go as far as pulling the Linguistics Department away from the Social Science Institute.

Honestly, I’m right there with rapidnomad7 on this one. I’d love to believe that only like ten people on the entire planet actually tune in to watch Formula 1, but unfortunately, reality hits different. 🙂

Multi-quote rule in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Since Desiree asked us to weigh in on this thread, I figured I’d throw my two cents in too.
Look, I’m not going to ban someone just because they drop a few posts in a row.
I’ll merge them if it actually makes sense—like when it’s obvious someone just remembered something else they wanted to say but decided to start a new post instead of using the edit button.
Sometimes merging just feels wrong, so I won't do it—for instance, if one post is a direct reply to someone, and the next one is just a general comment on the whole discussion.

Basically, I prefer Multi-quote, but I’m not out here handing out penalties to anyone who doesn't use it. Half the time, the new guys don't even realize how to work the feature, so I’ll just shoot them a quick PM with instructions. 😁

I suppose I’d love to finally be called by my real name... if only... 😁

I know it’s been a topic of conversation lately, and while technically possible now, it still feels somewhat uncouth... What if she actually comes back? 😁 Honestly, what I actually need is... well, I suppose it doesn't really matter what I do with it. 😁

Whatever the case may be, there's no sense in us sitting around here talking in circles and making a whole production out of nothing while the rabbit is still out there in the woods...😍As far as I’m concerned, I’d be perfectly happy with either Jane—assuming she’s even reachable—or Polish Jane. And honestly, to keep things simple and avoid any headache with special characters, we could just go with Jane... though, let's just wait for an official statement from the authorities, because this whole situation is becoming more complicated than renaming Times Square... 😁

Get in touch with Tyndall, provided he actually gives the green light for the change...

As it stands, there are currently no plans to implement the process of allowing users to claim the handles of existing forum members...

I get it. 🙂
Honestly, I’d love to finally ditch this handle and go by my actual name. Yeah, I really would. : D

😁

Look, I know people have been buzzing about this lately, and yeah, it’s technically on the table now, but honestly? It feels pretty disrespectful to me. It just sits wrong. Like, what happens if she actually shows up again? What then? 😁 Look, at the end of the day, what I actually need is what matters. What else am I supposed to do? 😁

Look, if someone hasn't logged in for years, there’s zero point in letting an unused handle just sit there gathering dust. If someone else who actually shows up and participates wants it, let them have it. Especially when we're talking about usernames backed by hundreds of posts—even if it's just a hundred. It's not like you're stealing the identity of some legendary figure who left a massive mark on the community. 😉

Whatever the case, there's no point in us sitting around here yapping and making plans for a BBQ while the rabbit is still out running wild in the woods.😍Personally, I’d be cool with either Jane or Polish Jane. Honestly, let's not overthink the punctuation—just calling her Zekoslawa works fine for me. Anyway, let's just sit tight and wait for the authorities to weigh in. This whole thing is getting more complicated than trying to rename Times Square. 😁

Nothing with you ever stays simple! 😛 😁
