Does that just wake you up inside your head, or does the impulse actually travel from your brain into some other part of your body? Like, can you actually feel it physically?
Look... these issues could be coming from one of a few things. Maybe you're just hitting deep sleep too fast—like, your body is relaxing way quicker than your brain can keep up with. Or, it might just be built-up stress. I guess in some massage therapies, they say that when you drift off, your brain tries to flush out all that extra tension, and if it can't process it, it just dumps it straight into your muscles. Or, it could just be myoclonus...
Myoclonus might actually be a symptom of underlying anxiety. You know, the kind of stress that sits "deeper" than just the usual day-to-day grind... As for magnesium deficiency, you usually notice that as a tremor while you're wide awake—like an eye twitch or a single muscle jumping or something.
I think you might have some bungalows out in the Everglades... maybe you could rent them out... supposedly they're made of wood... and I guess it's nice that there aren't any mosquitoes, though there isn't really any greenery either...
Maybe start by heading out for a quick two-day getaway to a spa or somewhere relaxing with someone...
but once you're back, get right back into the gym... and stay away from any drugs...
At the same time, you should probably start looking for work... but don't just grab any mindless manual labor job, because you'll already be doing enough physical work at the gym... I mean, look for something that actually challenges your brain a bit, you know? Something that gives you a sense of purpose. Having a job really does help with your self-esteem and how you respect yourself... but yeah, just start doing all this immediately...
I mean, honestly? I’d say you just haven't really developed that eye for spotting those little "details" yet... given enough time and maybe some actual effort, you could probably fix that... it's just a skill, really.
1. My ex... we broke up... she 186 miles from me (back in her hometown)... started seeing this new guy... but honestly, he’s just some total hillbilly. They went out. Got into a fight... she was so pissed off she ended up walking home alone in the middle of the night... through some rural area between two small towns in the Midwest. I called her the next day to check in... you know, asking what's up... I go, "So, I hear you have a new guy?" And she's like, yeah... "What's he like?" Well... he's good... Good? I mean, I heard he's a bit lacking in the substance department. Come on, girl, don't settle for less, find someone better... No, he's fine..... Aha... and how was it out there last night? Did you get enough fresh air while you were wandering around? Excuse me? What... what did you say?? I mean... you were walking home by yourself... Oh my god... well, he IS an idiot!! He's just plain stupid!!... uh...
Okay... anyway, I'm heading out, I'll just give them a call to double-check 😉
Situation 2: A friend of mine has been with his girlfriend for X years... they always seem so happy and polite whenever I visit... but... I "found out"... their sex life hasn't really been working... for quite a while now... and they had this massive blowout fight once. Turns out, it's not even about performance; he's actually gay, but he refuses to admit it to himself... and it turned into a nasty fight...
Anyway, I stopped by their place the next day for coffee... and they were both totally distant... she was out in the yard, he was inside the house... I ask him: what happened? He just goes, "Some guy was over yesterday, man, just leave me alone." Aha.. I go to her: Did someone die or something? She's like, "No... my sister just gave me hell..."
Aha... I didn't tell them I was digging into what the catch was... that's their business...
Jason Sanchez3 said:Could you clarify what you mean by that?..... It happens to me all the time in my daily life.. But mostly just with people I actually know well... I’ll look at someone—or sometimes I don't even have to look—and I can just feel how they're feeling right then. Like their mood, what they want, or what's bothering them in the moment.... If I'm kissing my boyfriend, I can feel exactly what he's feeling while we're kissing.... It's weird, but I can basically just step into another person's shoes and instantly pick up on everything they're going through...
I'm asking because, for example, I can pretty much tell what kind of emotional state someone is in just by focusing on them... whether I know them or not...
Jason Sanchez3 said:well, I did say that🙂) of course it isn't. but hey, if anyone actually wants to adopt that lovely little trait, just let me know.......
So, has this ever actually hit you as a real gut feeling before?
Look, I’m not even arguing that higher emotional intelligence means you're better at picking up on those subtle nuances or the tiny differences between people...
Look, that’s fine if you want to sugarcoat things, but I prefer calling a spade a spade...
Basically, intelligence is supposed to actually make our lives easier, not just trip us up at every turn... Because if it doesn't, then it isn't really intelligence... it's just... total bullshit 😛
I wouldn't go so far as to say empathy is actually part of emotional intelligence.
The way people experience things varies wildly from person to person—you know, those different temperaments like being choleric or sanguineous and all that—but that’s really just about how deeply someone feels an event... Then there's the whole thing where we pick up on what others are feeling, which I guess is more about mirror neurons at work... But honestly, whether you feel close to or distant from everything happening around you doesn't tell me much about your actual emotional intelligence, in my opinion...

"Emotional intelligence is often overlooked, even though it plays a massive role in our lives. A lot of people dismiss emotions as mere distractions in our functional, logical brains. However, theorists argue that emotions are actually key. They believe emotions help us make decisions that are generally more rational and successful. The roots of emotional intelligence go back to social intelligence, which was first defined by E. L. Torndika in 1920. Essentially, the term refers to the ability to balance reason with feeling. It’s a set of emotional skills that allow a person to correctly choose how to use their feelings and subconscious mechanisms when interacting with others, which ultimately helps us understand and improve human nature."
"Research shows that a high IQ alone doesn't guarantee success. To truly thrive, a person needs both a high IQ and a high EQ. Having both leads to a better career, improved mental and physical health, and higher quality relationships. On the flip side, highly rational people with high IQs are often dissatisfied with their lives—members of Mensa are a proven example of this. A high IQ isn't a requirement for finding happiness or love, which is what everyone is after. IQ, sometimes called technical intelligence, doesn't have much to do with one's emotional life. In fact, some people with very high IQs can be prone to impulsive instincts and negative outbursts of passion."
if you're deeply feeling someone else's pain, then we're talking about empathy... but if you're just sensitive to things happening around you, that's just sensibility...
regarding high IQ, someone mentioned once that there was an extensive study done on people with high IQs and what their actual success in life looks like. They found that these people are above average in terms of being successful, happy... and so on...
technical intelligence doesn't even exist. I mean, we can say there's intrapersonal, interpersonal, spatial, mathematical, logical intelligence... there's a whole bunch of different cognitive abilities and all of them are measurable.
The villi in your gut don't actually get their nutrients from your bloodstream; they feed off the food you swallow and digest directly. So, staying on nothing but water for a week? I guess that probably means you're wrecking them pretty badly... which basically means you'll struggle to digest anything substantial down the road.
