Questions about water in Health ·
wiredmarlin20 said:I don't care about chlorine or limescale. I'm talking heavy metals and how much of them are actually in our drinking water... just the way water travels through old pipes can contaminate it before it even reaches you.

Metal isn't even soluble in water by default.

The water changes color during electrolysis because of the chlorine levels in there..
It could also shift color due to limescale buildup, but let's be real, limescale isn't actually harmful

If you're still skeptical, I guess you could try this: just grab 5 liters of water and boil it until it all evaporates... then you can see whatever gunk is left at the bottom... it's the simplest experiment you can do
Iron can actually pull calcium right out of your teeth, which makes them turn dark... I think.

That’s why I always say it's better to get it from more natural sources if you can, like blackcurrant juice or maybe some fresh beets.
You can grab those minerals from black radishes too, but you really have to be careful about how you take it.
Maybe try drinking some currant juice, black radish, and/or some fresh peeled beets.

Arsen, why don't you go ahead and actually introduce yourself? Tell us about your education or whatever, so we can figure out if you're just making this stuff up as you go, pulling from some actual textbooks, or just listening to whatever nonsense comes out of the Watchtower

Stomach ulcers? Or maybe Heliobacter pylori?
Maybe you should check out Louise Hay's book, "You Can Heal Your Life." It might actually help you out a bit

You aren't some player; you're just a kid who’s probably gonna get screwed over for those $167. Who the hell are you guys even buying white from? A local 7-Eleven? You've never even tried it, so how do you actually know what you're getting is real cocaine? Do you even know the difference between half a gram and a full gram? Got a scale? So don't come at me with that "money doesn't matter" crap. Obviously, it matters. If you actually knew people, you could get it on credit, but you don't. So take that $167 and save it for something useful, because I highly doubt you're getting what you're looking for.
Don't just claim your buddy knows a guy and you'll hand him the cash to go grab it.

It’d be even better if they were buying it at a gas station; they'll end up with a few grams of Tide, get a little buzzed, and then realize it wasn't worth the hype anyway...
Better than them getting a gram of the pure stuff... they'd head straight to Jesus to report for duty after that.

Look, unlike your group of idiots, maybe try doing something actually productive for once—go volunteer at a local food bank or some charity organization...

Since you clearly haven't accomplished much in life so far, I bet you'll get a massive high out of helping people... and hey, there aren't even any side effects...
Can't sleep? Any tips for insomnia? in Health ·
If you actually looked like your avatar, or maybe if you went by the name Scooby-Doo 😬 , then I might actually bother writing a whole essay about it..

But since you don't, and you've got those old threads lying around proving it
Transcendental Meditation in Spirituality ·
What you’re talking about is basically Zen meditation.
First, you just focus on your body and your breathing, and then you move on to external sounds—you don't try to grab onto them or anything, you just let them pass through you...
It's really just an intro to some other kind of meditation...

As for me, I think there are plenty of better ways to unwind or even just kill some time. Honestly, most of the health benefits scientists point to can be explained quite simply—not everyone has the luxury of sitting around for two hours doing absolutely nothing. Isn't it just natural that people who actually have the time to rest would end up being healthier? 😎

Transcendental Meditation is actually backed by over 300 scientific studies proving it really works.

Look, if you're out there bashing things, then it isn't actually faith...
And another thing, I guess some people just have this weird tendency to turn it into a total cult

Did you ever get that kidney checked out?
(not that I'm trying to be a pain here)

It’s not a bad technique, I guess, but it isn't quite the same thing as having actual "faith."

Well, I'm from Washington, D.C., and this bioenergy practitioner is based out of Cincinnati, but she works everywhere—Washington, D.C., San Francisco, you name it...

I mean, I guess I could check around for some of those techniques near Washington, D.C., if you really want me to...

- Psychocybernetics—you really have to go through an initiation for that. I think if I'm remembering right, there’s a girl living in your area who practices it, though you usually have to head down to Washington, D.C. to actually get initiated. I could probably look into where exactly.
- Reiki—it's a similar deal with the initiation, but it's different because it's designed to shift your mindset, you know? Not in a bad way, just toward something better. There are people out there who are incredibly talented, and then there are others—not even part of the Hare organization—who somehow reached "master" status but, honestly, they aren't any good.

It used to be that level one Reiki was like 100 bucks, level two was 200...
I've been level two for years now—I tend to stick to talking about things I actually know—and I can tell you it does work. But, I guess, it often works in places you wouldn't expect. It sort of acts where it needs to act, rather than where we think it should.

Esene psychokinesis—it’s this technique that hardly anyone actually uses (mostly just alternative practitioners), but I honestly think it works on an astral level. A friend of mine tried it on me, and I could feel the effects after just a few minutes... she even did it for my girlfriend, who always used to have freezing cold hands, and for the next six months, she didn't have any issues with them being cold at all.

As for Reiki—well, Level 1 works on the astral plane, while Level 2 hits at the causal level. You can't really force it to work exactly how you want it to; it just does whatever is best and most necessary, though it doesn't really target specific symptoms...

That second one is primarily a spiritual technique (you've probably heard about it), and then it's used for healing... for example, one effect I personally experienced was that painkillers just wouldn't work on me, which meant I couldn't even numb a nerve in my tooth with Toxavit.

There's more to it than that, too.

I mean, I could probably suggest a few different "techniques" to you, but honestly, I’m not sure if trying to pull all of them off at once would actually be a good idea.

So, I was looking back at when this thread first started, and it made me wonder... did any of you actually try out what was mentioned here? And if you did, did any of it even make a dent?
