Does anyone else sense a diplomatic counter-offensive brewing on the horizon?

Because honestly, I don't see it. All I see is the local political crowd giving speeches over in Chicago.

By shouting "No pasaran," I guess.🕺
Daniel Johnson3 said:How do you even end up with ISIS members hiding among the refugees they’re supposedly fleeing from? Honestly, the crowd should just take matters into their own hands—I doubt they showed up armed.

It's easy—they just shave the beards. They aren't even wearing masks; they show up clean-shaven, hair looking sharp, snapping selfies on the latest iPhones while carrying some random kid they claim is their cousin's.
What a load of crap.☕
Kyle Nelson2 said:It’s like Little Merkel physically can't bring herself to say, "We can't take any more refugees," or even "You aren't welcome anymore"...
it’s like that scene in Liar Liar with Jim Carrey where he tries to tell a lie and his tongue just gets all tangled up...

but as time goes on, she’s probably going to have to bite her tongue and actually say it...

this woman has never shown any ability to learn or change her mind—look at what happened with Greece—so she'll end up learning it the hard way.

After they "humanely" dumped all that on her— 311 miles She's gonna start flying them back home on planes—on foot? Please. Not happening.☕

Germany starts deporting migrants via military jets today. Seriously? Just like that?

Germany’s already swallowed nearly a million refugees this year—and get this—estimates say about 40 percent of them are just economic migrants. Just chasing a paycheck, right?

Germany’s getting desperate. Seriously. They’re basically begging for more support for Ukraine at this point—it's getting kind of pathetic to watch. The latest reports out of Berlin show they're pushing hard for even more military aid, acting like they can just flip a switch and solve everything. But let's be real—how much more can they actually give before it starts hurting their own backyard? It's all just endless cycles of promises and "more, more, more" while the actual situation on the ground stays stuck in the mud. Is anyone actually surprised? Not really. Just another day in the theater of European politics.
Looks like the whole "dump it on someone else's doorstep" strategy finally hit a dead end.☕

The President is headed to Brussels—and let me tell you, he’s walking straight into a firing squad of critics. Expect him to get absolutely roasted.

The era of just fast-tracking refugees through the system is coming to an end—it’s over. "We can't just keep shuffling people through like this," they're saying. It’s becoming an unacceptable policy.'

The government is back at it again—trying to push through these new regulations despite everyone losing their minds over them. Honestly, why do they even bother asking for input if they’ve already decided what they're going to do? It’s the same old story with these bureaucrats in D.C.—acting like they have all the answers while ignoring the actual people living under these rules. They claim it's about "stability" or whatever buzzword they're using this week, but let's be real: it’s just more red tape designed to squeeze the little guy. Is anyone actually surprised? At this point, I'm just tired of the constant pivoting and the empty promises. They talk a big game about reform, then pull the rug out from under us the second things get complicated. Same script, different year.
Charles Ross3 said:We treated them so poorly that, honestly, it’s a miracle they didn't burn everything to the ground.

As soon as they arrived in the supposedly refined parts of Europe, those people—who were being beckoned by the lights of helicopters—just set fire to the entire refugee camp and then had the nerve to complain that nobody had even offered them a sip of water.

Hold up—slow down. This is just the appetizer. The real wave hasn't even hit yet.☕

Nearly 50,000 refugees from Greece are heading toward Western Europe—and America

DO WE HAVE A PLAN? Because of the offensive in Aleppo, 100,000 people are heading toward Europe, and Canadians are already thinking about building a fence!
Charles Ross3 said:Found yet another tiny little thing to nitpick? ☕

And I suppose you’re feeling terribly sorry for the Mexicans who have to cram everyone into those trains, and for the Canadians who have to stand there waiting to receive them? I mean, how on earth could we possibly do such a thing to them?

Right, because nothing screams "moral high ground" like posing for photos with kids in our arms during the day, then hunting them down at the Sutla border once the sun goes down.
The end justifies the means, right?☕
Plan D.
So, I just read that Ranko cut a deal with the Mexicans—they’re gonna use our trains to haul migrants straight from Buffalo to Slavonski Brod, then hop on more trains to Canada, maybe even all the way to Buffalo.
Now we just need Ranko to work things out with the Mexicans so we can pick them up right at Gevgelija and call the job done.
And just like that, we've become the region's go-to transit service—for peanuts, obviously. ☕

My mom almost choked to death once.
She got some "candy" in a little tube inside a humanitarian aid package.
She was all happy about it—until she started foaming at the mouth and nearly suffocated.
When the receptionist later translated the label from German, it turned out they were denture cleaning tablets. Of course, the expiration date was long gone, but hey, who cares? Just give them whatever you've got, right?

So now I'm reading about how Dubai is sending blankets, tents, solar lamps, and all that stuff.
They might as well have sent teddy bears with Emir's face on them just to actually make those kids smile...☕
Karen Doyle72 said:My people are out here losing their minds—they’re straight up saying they’ll send those tents right back if they aren't fireproof! I mean, seriously? It’s like, hello, common sense? If we're doing this, let's do it right! 🤣

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.🙂
So, yesterday Vera was walking accredited diplomats through the camp just so they could see firsthand how much we actually need this help. I'm betting we'll see planes landing non-stop over the next few days, loaded down with tons of humanitarian aid.
Reminds me of my own days as a refugee—most of the time it was just expired junk, like those noisy denture cleaning tablets and stuff like that...☕
The help finally showed up.🎉🎉
Anything to keep them out of our backyard, right?
Now Rank is gonna have to unload the whole thing himself.☕

PLANE LANDS IN America: 37 tons of humanitarian aid arrives from Dubai

An A300 transport plane from Dubai—carrying 37 tons of various supplies for refugees from the Middle East and Central Asia—touched down Wednesday night around 10 PM at the airport in St. Louis.
Watching those shots last night—migrants wading through the Sutla in the pitch black, dragging suitcases through the mud, just desperate to hit the border.
Then I can't help but remember how Joe Biden and Ostojić were basically begging for a more "humane" approach from the neighbors, acting like everything was just sunshine and rainbows.
And then you've got Ranko, basically smuggling migrants under the cover of darkness only to point his finger and yell, "Look, you're in Canada now!"—leaving them to jump straight into the river because they had no clue they were just running in circles.
The whole thing is completely unhinged at this point.☕

Every single immigrant or refugee who doesn't actually qualify for asylum under UN conventions should just be sent back to where they came from. I don't care if winter is right around the corner.

Article via the New York Post

EDIT: Deportations—they aren't going to announce them in advance anymore. Just keep letting everyone cross the border 🙂

Wouldn't it have been way easier to just fly them straight back to Greece or Turkey instead of forcing them to trek through everything 311 miles naked and freezing 🙂, making us all suffer along with them for months?
jbte, look at it this way: she makes the migrants walk the whole way 311 miles, then she can check their teeth, nutrition, work capacity... and tell them "you're good, now get out."
So incredibly humane. Absolute joke.☕

ruggedcobra8 said:Just out of pure curiosity, I wanted to throw this question out there...
Let's say, in terms of raw percentages, how often are appeals regarding bans or moderator actions actually overturned in favor of the user? I'm wondering just how frequently a moderator or an admin might end up receiving a formal reprimand, a warning, or something along those lines 🤔 🍿

In all my years on this site, I haven't seen a single mod go, "Yeah, my bad, we messed up—let's clear that strike."🧐
Guess I'll keep waiting another few years. Maybe then I'll get lucky.😬
Copied news articles... in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Just drop the link and give us a quick take—if someone actually wants to read the full thing, they’ll click it.
You don't need to dump the entire article right under the link.

It just turns into this massive wall of text that makes everything impossible to follow.

Look, sorry, but those endless walls of text you were pasting yesterday in this thread? Total joke.
And honestly, I think your whole goal was just to flood the board. If you actually cared about the topic, you would've let people discuss the link first—you know, following the actual flow of the conversation?
Instead, you just kept spamming the thread without any rhyme or reason.
Thread title change proposal in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I'm all for the proposal.

Kamala Harris is the President of the United States—and honestly, out of respect for the office itself, the thread title should reflect that.

Look, if we were talking about a department headed by Secretary XY or the Biden administration, we'd show that same level of respect to the Office of the President, right?

Sure, we can get all patriotic and talk about our Beautiful Land in the posts, but the title needs to change just to respect the actual institution.☕
Amanda Hughes37 said:Once the mod basically decided the whole thing was just because leftists are better in bed, there wasn't much point in even trying to argue anymore.

What a joke of a conclusion.
A mod's job isn't to troll the thread—it's to keep some semblance of "order."
The discussion was actually going somewhere; it could've been a chill, productive debate.
It’s easy to just condemn a thread right out of the gate, troll it, and shut it down—but that's exactly what mods shouldn't be doing. They should let things breathe. If a thread starts veering off the rails, you steer it back.
Besides, in my book, the OP (not talking about anyone specific here, just speaking generally) is the one who needs to watch the direction of their own thread. If they can't handle the steering wheel, they can always call for backup from the mods.
Here? The thread was judged, trolled, and killed before it even had a chance. Honestly, it doesn't seem that rare when a mod decides they aren't feeling the vibe after their morning coffee and logging on.☕.
Right-wingers backing the Democratic Coalition in Close to Politics ·
brighteagle26 said:Look, I consider myself a conservative, but this election, I’m casting my vote for the Democratic Coalition. When I take a look at what passes for the right wing around here, it’s honestly depressing. You’ve got this massive, messy fragmentation where you have dozens of tiny Libertarian Party splinter groups, and then there’s the absolute circus of clowns claiming to represent us—people like various George Washingtons and George Washingtons, just a bunch of unhinged loudmouths and conspiracy theorists who can't articulate a coherent thought to save their lives. Then you have the Republican Party, which only claims to be conservative in name while acting like anything else. It’s a joke. That version of the right doesn't deserve a single one of my votes.

Look, your vote is your business—it's your choice, period. No need to turn it into some big public debate.☕

It probably depends on how many posts you drop, how many deleted comments, or bans... or is there just some flat rate regardless of whether you're actually active or not?😁
And when do you guys take your lunch break? Just so we know when it's safe to troll and derail the thread?😍

🙂 All that besides—if it isn't a secret😬—do you get a stipend for having a zero social life?

Seriously, if someone actually wants to end it all, they should go find something tall and jump onto something hard instead of trying to stage some grand, dramatic final scene right here on this forum.
And honestly, anyone who feels the need to act like this—well, they really ought to have a little disclaimer in their signature note stating that they are, by their own design, nothing more than a pompous fool.

My bad, Saša moliti, but I couldn't help myself—it was just too damn funny.👍
