Zachary Fox2 said:I haven't heard anything back either, and honestly, why on earth are adulteresses lumped in with long-term issues? It’s common knowledge that the Topic regarding the adulteress barely even exists compared to those other two categories!
And what lawsuits are we even talking about here? Why wasn't that settled back then?

From what I can gather, the moderatorit seem to label anyone who hasn't been cheated on as an adulteress, which just creates this massive cloud of confusion.

By the way, looking at where they've dumped us today just makes me feel even more pathetic.
Look, I don't want to be rude to my neighbors, but sticking heavy life topics like this under "Entertainment," "Time Killers," or "Casual Hangouts" is just plain immature.
And no matter how hard the moderatorit try to justify their moves, they still can't make it make sense. Like, seriously, what is with all this intense bickering, hello??? They just grabbed onto that like a drunk clinging to a porch railing.

"...lately, these chats have been seeing much smaller groups of women hanging out, where conversations have shifted toward social topics that aren't exclusively about ZUD—and honestly, having three separate chats is just too much for one sub-forum..." Everything regarding this was already explained here. I really don't see what part of that is unclear or why more details would help. It's pretty obvious that for certain people, no explanation will ever be good enough.
neonsailor58 said:Honestly, I have absolutely no clue what they’re trying to get at here. What is the point?

In my estimation, these discussions ought to be filed under ZUD so that the community can actually find their way back to them. That said, there’s absolutely no need to start foaming at the mouth over it. Honestly, I am struggling to wrap my head around some of these reactions. I mean, seriously—if you can let something like this get you this worked up, how on earth do you manage to navigate actual life problems?🤷

It simply isn't worth my effort.

I have said this many times before, and I was certainly not the most popular person for saying it, but I believe this Topic regarding affairs became OFF topic a long time ago. It should be the one place where I would actually step forward first if I ever found myself in a bind. Some people, thank God, did chime in. Especially lately, there have been pages upon pages of absolute nonsense. Honestly, I just couldn't bring myself to read through all that, watching how Zeli ends up in a complete mess.

Actually, because of those particular individuals, it might be better if things reverted back to ZUD. Not that I’m suggesting the current Topic is high quality—not by a long shot—but circumstances dictate a change.

When I open a new thread, whoever feels like posting can certainly do so. As for the moderators, they are right there, performing their duties to the best of their abilities.

If you honestly consider this to be oppression, or some kind of blatant disrespect, or whatever else you want to call it, then I can only assume you’ve lived a life entirely devoid of any actual hardship.🤷

The only real issue I see here is that newcomers are going to have a hell of a time tracking down this thread, especially if the posting frequency starts to taper off. Once the activity dies down, it’ll just vanish into the digital abyss. Beyond that, I don't see any other problems. As for myself, I can't quite tell if I've gone too far OFF topic, or if I'm being low-brow, or whatever else you all might say. Honestly, I've lost track of where I even stand.

I think I've said enough about this matter. We're done here. It was amusing for a moment, I suppose, but now it’s simply grating on my nerves. Consider this discussion closed.

I won't quote everything, especially since you mentioned you aren't exactly thrilled about this "purge" either. Thanks for laying it out so clearly—you put into words exactly what I was struggling to express. 👍
Michelle Wilson8 said:All those pages of nonsense were really just an attempt to keep the Topic alive for everyone new coming in, and if you ask me, I don't see anything wrong with the old-timers hanging out and chatting like that. In fact, that whole process was part of our therapy, wasn't it?
If people couldn't even stomach reading that, how on earth are they going to manage when they get to the places where the arguments are actually flying thick and fast?
Do you really think any newcomer is going to step in and truly bare their soul?
Don't you see that the original Topic is basically dead, and we're all just using its name to keep things moving?

The only real issue I can see here is that it's going to be incredibly tough for the new folks to actually track down this thread, especially if the posting starts to dry up.

And even if they do manage to find it, do you really think they’ll actually start writing?

So, let me get this straight: you all were just posting nonsense just to keep a thread alive that should have sunk a long time ago? 😵 Thanks for clarifying that even better than I did—you hit the nail on the head regarding why that switch should have happened ages ago. As for you old friends hanging out at your therapy sessions, that’s really not an issue at all. There is absolutely nothing stopping you from continuing to stay close.
stormyraven14 said:I’ve been reading through both sides of this, though I’ve read more of the "mistress" threads from start to finish than anything else. There were plenty of issues—some got sorted out along the way, while others just stayed messy—especially since that whole saga involving Ornelo and all those other interested parties was, well, epic in scale 😁 😁 😁 —I actually used to hop over from another forum just to follow that one. But lately, things have been mostly quiet. On the surface, the moderators' arguments seem to hold water, BUT!
If we keep going like this, every woman dealing with a cheating husband, or any girl who ended up becoming a mistress just because of momentum, is going to head straight to the main sub-forums where these stories actually belong...
Honestly, you guys have just created more work for yourselves without really achieving anything tangible, other than pushing a few "regulars" into corners where they're hard to find. Newcomers will just keep trying to start similar threads. And even if there isn't a deliberate attempt to open a chat topic about this, every single individual issue will probably turn into one eventually, simply because these are GENERAL, FREQUENT problems that clearly many people on this forum deal with.

It just doesn't feel fair.

I’m signing on to keep these topics in the main sub-forums.

Thanks for looking out, but that’s really up to the moderatorit. New users will be starting their own threads to kick things off. Everyone is more than welcome to join the conversation, but there won't be any live chat on those topics for the time being. 🙂
nimbletinker10 said:And me.😁 I'm on board with that too.

It is true that these threads tend to devolve into nothing more than mindless rambling, BUT if you actually take the time to look at them, all three of these sections contain posts that are absolute classics when it comes to the subject of Life for Two.🙂

I have to say, I find Michelle Alvarez8 quite attractive.😍

That’s easily the best euphemism for a chat I've ever heard. 😂 🙏

Michelle Wilson8 said:I really feel like moving all the heavy-hitting discussions over to OFF topic is basically the beginning of the end for them—it’s where they start losing their sense of purpose and why we even bother, and honestly, I think in the long run, it’s going to have the exact same effect on the Life for Two subforum too.

It makes me wonder, how is a newcomer—someone who actually needs a shoulder to lean on or some genuine support regarding a specific issue—ever supposed to stumble upon our topic if it’s buried way over in the off topic section? 😕

Not to be dismissive, of course, but I have to ask: what kind of logic are we using here? How is it that we don't belong on ZUD, yet topics like dealing with difficult in-laws, helping out parents, long-distance relationships, porn in a marriage, or even when a husband tells his wife she's mentally unstable... those kinds of things, which are individual struggles and often quite superficial or fleeting, are considered appropriate?
Are we eventually just going to be left with nothing but wedding planning and divorce proceedings?
There won't be any actual life captured in between those two extremes....😢

So, provided our dear Jose White18 doesn't decide to delete this thread on a whim, I’m asking anyone who feels the same way I do to please leave a comment to show support for "bringing back the outcasts, Jose White18 style." 😍

If the ZUD PDF really relies solely on just three threads like you're claiming, then honestly, the whole ZUD might as well collapse along with them. It wouldn't be worth saving. Personally, I don't think it's that dependent, and I doubt it'll actually happen like that. 🙂
Jesse Taylor80 said:Michelle Wilson8, I found myself shouting into the void just like you did (about two feet underground over there), but some of these posts are just gone. I have one question for the admins and those in charge: DO YOU HAVE PERSONAL ISSUES THAT MADE YOU SEE TOO MUCH OF YOURSELVES IN THESE DELETED GROUPS, SO YOU JUST WIPED THEM OUT TO AVOID READING THEM?

No one has had a single post deleted because of this move.
Nobody.
Not one.

I honestly don't get why Jose White18 has to be such a troublemaker over there, acting all secretive,
but here, nobody can just have a normal conversation about something small without making it a thing.

It’s because it is a small thing. I don't see anything to defend myself against. Should I explain why I deleted a couple of posts from one random user who thinks her content was too good to lose? Or why I nuked an occasional poster's mediocre comment instantly just because I happened to be online watching the thread? Apparently, I should have waited a few minutes for her specifically before deleting it. People love to complain...

But fine, since I have to remind the local crowd every few pages anyway, we might as well go over it again here.
The 'Mother-in-Law' section isn't a chat topic and those 'Mother-in-Law' threads aren't reserved exclusively for daughters-in-law or meant to be their private little support group.

Every few months, a warning like this is necessary to remind the users who get worked up when they encounter something other than mindless sympathy and coddling. Some people are satisfied with a simple warning post, others are fine with posts being deleted, and some won't listen even if you hand them a ban. To each their own...

I honestly don't get what criteria they're using to wipe them out.

The most common move by the mods on that thread is just deleting the chat.

Good morning. 😈
If you look at it closely, we aren't even talking about actual journalists here. We're looking at a bunch of nobodies who wouldn't have an ounce of credibility without their corporate backing. Their opinions, their work, their entire existence carries zero weight on its own. Of course they dance to whatever tune is played; the bosses are being greased by the hospitality lobby, big tobacco, or some other shadow interest. Plus, most of these hacks spend all day at coffee shops or smoking breaks, so they can't see past their own noses. It’s convenient when the orders from the top align perfectly with their own petty little interests.

It goes without saying that concepts like civic duty, the common good, or basic morality are completely foreign to them. Honestly, who would even teach them those things?

Dog attack on a little girl in Law ·
Thomas Fowler84 said:One must distinguish between liability and guilt. Naturally, the owner is liable because a dog cannot be held accountable under human law.
It is much like a scenario involving thieves being injured by a guard dog or a booby trap; the owner remains responsible. An owner of a dangerous animal has a duty to isolate that animal from the public, and a court will decide if their precautions were sufficient.
The grandmother would also need to provide context—perhaps she was elderly or confused, or maybe they entered an unfenced yard where the owner allows trespassing. We need more facts before we can assign blame.

Look, the owner had him tied up. In HIS own backyard.
The only other option would have been to put the dog down.
Then he really would have done everything possible.

Neither agnosticism nor atheism counts as a religion, so this topic fits perfectly fine. ☕

Where else would you put a discussion on Satanism? Spirituality? New Age stuff? A hippie forum?

It looks like the old "star" lineup has gathered here to try and play judge and jury. 🙄 We should have just grit our teeth and moved on, instead of letting this shady business be used to settle old scores. 👎

Of course... nothing is black and white, including internet forums. In reality, you have about 20 idiots, 20 smart and communicative people, and 110 average users ranging from dim-witted to sharp.
Look, the statistical probability of a moderator falling into one of those categories is equal to how much those groups represent the overall forum population.
That seems to be the core assumption behind your logic, but that’s actually a major logical fallacy because moderators aren't chosen by picking names out of a hat from the user base. The percentages would only mirror the general population if they were selected randomly.

The owners and site management pick moderators based on specific traits they want in a mod.
