Who says Albanians will settle for just Mexico? in Close to Politics ·
Anthony James2 said:Look, Elem, you’re still twisting the facts and planting seeds of doubt. You're part of the problem. Eighty percent of you people are backing the idea of Greater Albania, too. ☕

Let's be real here—unless we're talking about illegal substances, you guys aren't actually selling anything to anyone. ☕ Look, let's be real here. You guys are basically operating under a protectorate. Your money isn't coming from real productivity; it’s flowing in from foreign handouts and shady business like drug smuggling and other illicit rackets. Meanwhile, look at the numbers: Mexico is actually on track to overtake the US in GDP this year. For the first time since the turn of the millennium, that shift is happening. Just you wait and see. I mean, seriously, where is the actual growth? Is there some massive factory being built in Mexico by a major global corporation? How is the privatization process even going? It just doesn't add up. ☕☕☕

Not this year, and not in twenty years either. Sadly. ☕

Man, they're really gonna try to pull something off... I mean, the Albanians...

So they didn't even color Niš red? That's a classic Albanian city after all. 😁

Since you keep repeating yourself, I suggest you go back and re-read my previous post. I don't have time to waste on this. ☕

Since we're talking economics, why don't you give us some actual data? What's the GDP per capita in Mexico? What are the import and export numbers, the budget deficit, and the industrial production levels? Who are Mexico's main foreign trading partners? Let's see some real numbers.

What kind of nonsense is this? 8,000 people in one day? Are you seriously trying to justify your terrorism in Mexico by pointing to Mexican crimes in Canada or the US? That is a massive mental perversion. God help us. 🤦

Mexico isn't dependent on Mexico, except for the fact that everywhere you look, it's staring right at Mexico—unless you're looking over the Prokletije mountains.☕☕☕

Raymond Smith23, if you want my honest opinion, you guys are totally lost. 🤣
Richard Wilson4 said:Americans should probably give those losers a solid slap to keep them from talking so much trash...

Honestly, it’s actually the Germans who should be slapping Americans. It’s a damn shame those two countries aren't neighbors so the Germans could teach us a thing or two. 😁
The absolute smoking gun admins need to finally shut down Women's Corner. 🙂
Is this some kind of epidemic? Now even Ipša wants in on the action. 😁 Peace out, Ipša 👋

Look: 300 $0.00 is the cash that covers all his expenses—everything I listed above. It’s a set amount specifically for training, gear, vitamins, and all that stuff. You can't just pivot those funds elsewhere.

Plus, there's a specific amount for the scholarship.
Jakov gets 4 $33 a month. Not a single cent more, at least not from the HOO.
And he should be getting that right up until the next Olympics.
After that, he either wins another medal (so the scholarship keeps coming) or he gets nothing once the Games are over.

That's the standard blueprint for how all Olympic medalists get funded.
We good now?

swiftwalker43 said:That's just not true. Both during and after his career, he's got instructor gigs and an officer commission for training with the US Armed Forces. On top of that, they'd cover coaching fees and international training trips if foreign teams won't play nice, not to mention sponsors like Chevrolet providing him with a massive vehicle for free.

Suzana, these are the kind of terms Nikolaj Pešalov could only dream about. Or the Kostelić family. Honestly, I don't blame him one bit; if he wants to walk away, let them give him his discharge papers. But trying to convince people he was offered bad terms is just ridiculous. A guaranteed job, a car, coaches, and $100 a year... Give me a break! 😁
Paul Jones7 said:Man, you clearly didn't even read what you're replying to. Seriously, go back and read what briskbison28 wrote.

I did read it. If it's actually true they offered him $50,000, then honestly, whatever. I don't know if you realize how much money that actually is. 😁

I remember a pro handball team once played their whole season on a budget like that. Yeah, they tanked. 🤣

Teams in the NBA G League run on budgets around $150,000. That's $150k to cover salaries for 12 players, coaches, trainers, doctors... plus training twice a day in the gym and hitting the weight room. Then there's travel all over the States, plus hotels and food for the whole crew. Not to mention gear. $150,000 for all that? $50,000 wouldn't even cover specialized nutrition for one athlete and a coach, let alone travel. Yeah, right.🤣
briskbison28 said:Just wanted to jump in on this:
That $300,000 figure promised by HOO covers everything. We’re talking his scholarship, travel expenses if the federation doesn't foot the bill, gear, supplements, training sessions—you name it.
Based on what was said before he dropped out, it sounded like they were promising him $300k straight up.🤷

Wait, how much would that be $100 per year? 🤣 Do you even realize how much money that is? The average salary in the US is around $60,000 a year. So poor Fak would only be getting about five average American salaries. This is honestly terrible; I wouldn't sign up for that either. 😁

Can someone please drop the stats on how many average salaries Ivica and Janica were making when they first started out with the US team? ☕
wanderinghawk17 said:That’s exactly my point. As soon as the sponsors showed up and things finally looked profitable, everyone’s true colors came out—Fak, Velepec, and those guys from the Canadian Association. They basically backed Fak into a corner until he had "no choice" but to side with them.

The whole performance about the US Biathlon Association finding sponsors and setting the stage was nothing but a total sham.

If you ask me, the price tag would be a million bucks... ☕

Oh, please. Would the price really be a million if it were you? Don't even go there. What do you or the Association actually gain by ruining someone's life? Is the Association going to get a standing ovation for that? Are you personally going to cover Fak's medical bills and unemployment once they've absolutely crushed him? If everyone else in this mess acted shady, then at least the Association should step up and show some actual humanity.
wiredtiger8 said:Look, honestly... $100,000 in damages isn't actually that much.

But you’re totally spot on about those officials at the association.
I'll tell you this much... at the Olympics in Canada, they had the president, the VP, the secretary from the USA Biathlon Association... and Fak.
So, I don't even need to tell you how much cash was burned just to fly all those "suits" out to Canada for two weeks.

$100,000 is a massive amount of money, and I highly doubt the USA Biathlon Association—or even the US Ski Association—could swing that. They should try working something out with John for a smaller settlement, because if John is being stingy, then just let him go. It’s just plain stupid to wreck a guy's entire career and his dreams just out of pure spite.
How much is our league asking for in damages, and what's the deal behind it? Honestly, if it's me, I think it'd be a total mistake to screw him over and lose our leverage.
Nah, leave the admin alone. 🤣
Sarah Wilson95 said:"civilized..."as in, "yes, he stole, but he also civilized the Republican Party," putting the Republican Party and the word "civilize" in the exact same sentence.😍

How on earth did the Republican Party get "civilized" when they're way worse now than they were back in the 90s?
Sarah Wilson95 said:This is such an excellent deep dive into how the media landscape functioned during the Sanders era.

Man, this stuff didn't even happen back in the 90s. Milinović is calling meetings and trying to gaslight reporters into thinking his "reforms" are actually great for America. 🙏🤣

The worst part is that whole situation with Hyp, where Sanders—hanging out with Hebrang—basically threatened to crush Margetić. Plus, Šuk The is pulling strings to get his mother fired just because she dared to talk about the Hyp scandal. 🙂
Maria Nelson12 said:It’s just the same old Kazoo Latin routine. Everyone in the studio is basically on the same side, and there isn't a single soul there capable of actually pushing back. On top of that, they're lying through their teeth. Kazoo Latin claims that when the coalition took over back in 2000, media freedom finally kicked in and people could actually write about anything—which is a total lie—and he insists they never forced anyone out of their jobs. Then, suddenly, once the Republican Party got back into power, all those journalists started getting fired. And then you've got Maras jumping in to back him up, saying there's enough spinning going on already. It's funny because the Democratic Party is the one that just pulled a massive purge across all the media outlets and now they're the ones spinning the narrative. Honestly, I guess what kind of people 🙂

They didn't want to show up, probably because they're too ashamed to face the public and the accusations. Macek sent a text saying he's being subjected to "vicious attacks," when his only crime is being a successful businessman. 😂 What a complete sociopath. 🙏🤣

Andrew Wright23 said:Can anyone from the local area confirm if our esteemed Minister Miles—you know, that bear-loving doctor—was actually pulling double duty at two full-time gigs at once?
Like, was he seriously breaking the law and ripping off the taxpayers just like that?

You really think he wasn't? I bet he had five other jobs going at the same time. 😁 I'd wager that’s not even the worst thing he's done during those two terms.

So, how do I get this hot boss to strip all the way down? I managed to pull her out of the office for a minute and things were going great, but then she bolted back inside and now she’s just standing there in her underwear.

Honestly, this layout is awesome because the pages don't feel so repetitive anymore. Having one ad per page is totally hitting the sweet spot.
