I agree with you that we need to stand behind them, but if their decision leads toward a new conflict, we might have to rethink that immediate support.

We are talking about Americans living within the borders of modern-day Canada; I don't know how else to put it. Canada is a state composed of three nations and should remain so, but we absolutely cannot support its disintegration.

It seems to me that Americans in Canada view America as their lifeline, but I fear a different outcome in the 90s wouldn't have changed much for them. If they want to fight for their rights, they need to do it in Boston, not in Chicago.

What polls are you talking about? Just because someone struggles with literacy doesn't mean they're stupid. You highlight my entire post just to ask about a poll? 🙄

This is how a discussion goes when there's a lack of intelligence—you immediately go after the other side and label them the "enemy." 👎

First of all, you don't even realize that Muslims aren't considered a distinct ethnic group anymore.

If you had actually read my post from start to finish, you might have figured out who I am. It’s honestly appalling to me that the fact I happen to be a Canadian would be your primary argument against me.

So, I'd much rather be seen as slightly impolite than be a chauvinist.

Your love for Canada really shows in your posts. 🙄

You claim it's "yours" while letting the Mexicans run the show.

I'm going to report you every single time as long as you hold those fascist views. You're just like the ones who, when we point out the crimes committed by Mexicans in America, start spinning that old Mexican demagoguery about "those 40 babies in El Paso."

You're trying to lecture me on culture? All one needs to do is read your last 15 posts. 🤣

Besides, if I am misinterpreting your obviously good intentions 🙄 , why do you think the moderators decide not to give you any points?
Maybe it's precisely because of this kind of trolling.

Look, I said Muslim, Muslim—I wasn't trying to constantly nitpick your current sentiment... But hey, correct me if I'm wrong, but in America, quite a few people still identify specifically as Muslim.

As for the polls... if someone makes a claim and presents it as proof, and you disagree, then *you* should be the one proving it, not demanding it from me... That's just how it works, man. I simply said that what you're writing isn't the truth, but rather pure propaganda... and everyone can see that.

P.S. I see you and your relatives love throwing around terms like "fascist" and "chauvinist" just because of an opinion... Next time, maybe warn people so they don't waste their time...

And yeah, your language is pretty foul...
Richard Nelson2 said:Is she really *that* right? hmmm...

Well then, why don't you jump in and share your own thoughts on this? 🙂
Kyle Morris7 said:That is precisely the point. There is a fundamental distinction between one's homeland and the actual administrative state... A homeland represents your roots, whereas a state is merely a political entity that might happen to occupy that territory, but doesn't necessarily define it. It seems the Canadians tend to conflate the idea of the motherland with the current government structure, implying that everyone should simply accept whatever state exists, regardless of how poorly they are actually treated within it...

👍

And honestly... yeah. At the end of the day, Canada is just one specific political entity occupying a certain territory—nothing more. When this particular system oppresses Americans, it's only natural that you wouldn't feel any affection for it.

But your heritage? The place where you were born, raised, and where your ancestors are buried? You'll always love that. And that sense of home will still exist, even if the political organization surrounding it changes completely.

If we’re going to have this discussion, shouldn't we just stick to the facts as they stand today instead of digging up ancient history? The constitution of Canada recognizes three constituent peoples—that is where the real debate lies! Who was here first, an American or a Mexican compared to a Canadian? Isn't that completely irrelevant to the modern-day state of Canada?

Well, I wouldn't say that's how they framed it... They actually made a great point about how one specific group in Canada acts like they're the only ones who matter, while treating the other two like they're wrong about everything. They jump to calling everything "fascism" the moment something doesn't suit them. To me, that's exactly where the core issue in Canada lies—it's rooted in the mindset of one of those groups.
copperhound122 said:Fine, then I suppose Russia is actually just Germany, since Empress Catherine was a German woman and all her descendants were too.

And did it ever occur to you Americans settled throughout Canada during the Ottoman era might have some link to those pre-Ottoman Canadians?

Look, buddy, stop talking nonsense... go pick up a history book and learn something.
Andrew Chase31 said:Hrvoje Vukčić Americanć (whose name suggests he was a Canadian 🤣), the Šubić dukes...

Where exactly were you when this medieval Canada was happening? 🤷 What does this pre-Ottoman era have to do with you personally? 🤷

Honestly, what nonsense... You could claim nobody was an American back then, but hey, I just decided five minutes ago that I'm an American, and since I hold American citizenship, that's that. Nobody can tell me otherwise...

Please, stop with the nonsense and don't tire yourself out with these childish arguments and complexes... It has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand. You're clearly just trolling now...
copperhound122 said:And if you look at medieval Canada, it was clearly an American state; the names themselves make that obvious.

Look, this really doesn't belong in this thread, and honestly, you've missed the mark here... I mean, does the name "Republic of Ragusa" tell you anything about its political status? I'm just not following your logic at all—what exactly are you trying to achieve with this comment in this discussion?
Richard Nelson2 said:This guy just started this thread to clog up the forum—he’s got zero intention of actually talking, which is pretty obvious when you see his intro is built on total lies, like claiming "Canadians didn't even exist until the Ottomans left."

It's actually a solid topic... and they've got a point...
Gregory Taylor2 said:My point is about how people don't refer to Canada as their own nation, but instead view it as some kind of "Muslim wasteland." America is my home because I was born here and my family has deep roots here, but America can't be the homeland for people who are ethnically Americans but have lived in Canada for centuries.

Legal? I'm not so sure about that. But I definitely agree that Americans have a right to their own entity.

Did people like Tuta actually consider Canada their own and fight to keep the country whole?

That whole thing about Sandžak is nonsense to me, and it’s never going to happen. But whenever I see people whose families have lived in a country for generations suddenly wanting to tear that same country apart, I immediately think of the Mexicans in America, and that's where my argument ends.

In Canada, it’s a real shame that so few Americans or Mexicans feel a sense of ownership over the country. Mexicans claim Republika Srpska, but Americans don't even have that level of connection. Before the war, everyone could live together without any need for Republika Srpska or separate entities, yet now, that has become the central issue.

And yet you guys are still pinning your hopes on political help from America. Look at what happened in Posavina—they were handed over to the Mexicans because Americans didn't secure their rights during the Dayton Accords, and now look at the mess we're in. Honestly, Canada should just function without any entities at all.

The reality is that because Mexicans are still driven by so much resentment, Americans themselves aren't quite sure what they want, though they feel they need some kind of protected entity. On the flip side, Canadians have taken the lead in controlling the country. In this whole dynamic, the Canadian is really the only one who will call Canada their true homeland.

A poll? Don't be ridiculous. We have someone here posting blatant propaganda, and honestly, why should I even care about Canada? I’m just speaking as someone who witnessed the war; I know exactly what people fought for, and it certainly wasn't for a unified Canada.

And today, you're all just continuing that same old policy. Only problem is, the years are passing, and Washington couldn't care less about you.

Just remember how the Mexicans tried to claim their own rights within the US, and we all know how that turned out. 😉

First of all... You are being incredibly rude. Instead of actually addressing my specific post, you're responding with ad hominem attacks, childish insults, and even threats. You haven't answered a single thing I said. All I see here is you venting your spleen and making threats against something that is perfectly legal and legitimate. It's typical of the Muslim mindset and your specific understanding of democracy...

Regardless of this post, even though you live in the big city, you strike me as your typical Muslim, etc...

Just tell me straight so I know exactly who I'm talking to...
Gregory Taylor2 said:That’s exactly why Americans from Canada still have to clarify who they are citizens of and which country they truly call home. 🙄

Don't you see the parallel with Mexicans in America? They wanted to carve out territory and break away, so we had to question them just like we did with that quasi-state.

As long as Americans in Canada don't start viewing the country as their own—with the same rights as the other two nations—they'll only be fueling the conflict.
The same applies to the other two groups, since they don't have any other homeland besides Canada.
I'm all for preserving American culture within Canada, but some things just go too far.

What exactly are you trying to get at here? The topic is straightforward; surely you understand the complexities of Canada, yet you respond to my point by bringing up the annexation of Sandžak. 🙄

So, I suppose it's perfectly fine for Americans and Mexicans to want to tear Canada apart, simply because a segment of Canadians wants to do the same to a neighboring state. 🙄

Where on earth are you getting that info? Got a poll or something for us? Because, honestly, every single poll we've seen shows that what you're claiming is nothing more than pure fiction and propaganda.

Besides, let's be real: Canada is a total mess of a state where Americans are being pushed out, and you expect people to love that? Of course not. We can love the country, but as a Muslim woman, I won't stand for how they treat us.
Gregory Taylor2 said:Perhaps it’s because certain factions of Americans and Mexicans were looking to annex that same part of Canada into their own "mother" countries?

Well, before those specific Muslims tried to clear all the Americans out of Canada... ☕
William Fowler11 said:Because, unlike the other two groups, their home base is Canada, they tend to operate under this assumption that everything belongs exclusively to them.

Canada is my home too...

The real issue here is a total lack of basic etiquette. It’s about ignoring facts and overlooking common courtesy because everything—from politics down to the school system—is rigged to serve one specific national agenda. Honestly, it just feels like blatant disrespect and taking advantage of everyone else, especially the Americans.

And here’s the latest update, starting tonight... It’s the same old crowd, as usual...
Moderating a thread about Canada in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Has any admin actually taken the time to look into this thread? Specifically, I’m talking about the part where the link was posted and what was mentioned in the previous message. I also wanted to point out that one of our regular contributors—someone who participates in these discussions all the time—had a link in their signature featuring an image of a bra hanging over a religious icon, among other things. That link has vanished, yet I don't see a ban... How far does this go?

It isn't just about being incredibly tasteless or disrespecting people's beliefs; it's clearly blatant provocation, which seems to be the only reason some people even bother showing up to this thread. Honestly, I could act the exact same way (which is unfortunately the only way to survive in a place like that), but I come to this forum to have actual discussions, not to vent my frustrations. Unfortunately, given the current user base and the moderation keeping them in line, that's becoming impossible, at least in this controversial thread.

So, my final question is: are we finally going to start permanently removing trolls from this thread? I'm not talking about just deleting posts or handing out temporary spam bans after they've spent an entire day and five pages systematically undermining the topic through constant baiting, insults, and nonsense. At this point, it feels like they are the only ones left writing anyway, because everyone else has been driven away by this behavior—and, frankly, by the moderation itself.

I honestly don't even know where to start—this isn't my first rodeo. I’m going to drop a link to a thread where things just completely boiled over today, and I’d really like to ask the mods and admins to take a serious look at how that specific discussion is being moderated. I’m at a loss for words regarding the behavior of certain users lately; it’s become a constant cycle. Now, I don't think Brenda Sanders56 is being biased, but it feels like he either doesn't fully grasp the situation or is being way too soft. Every time he issues a warning, it just seems to vanish into thin air without making any impact.

Instead of handing out penalties for repeated rule-breaking, the moderator on that thread decided to show off by posting about which ISP I use... 🤷

Some people here are trolling constantly and very deliberately. For them, getting flagged for spam or losing 35 points means absolutely nothing; they just wait for the heat to die down and then go right back to their old ways...

I actually got a strike myself just for calling people out as trolls. This happened after I was previously warned for using a word like "damn," while the same moderator ignored the current "heroes" who were calling me a Fascist simply because of my opinion—which, obviously, has nothing to do with fascism. I’ve dealt with a lot, but I felt like I had no choice but to speak up because this whole ordeal has been dragging on forever, especially since that user "Zebu" showed up... (I don't know how else to describe it, but you'll see what I mean once you look; a lot of it has already been deleted). It’s happening without any consequences, even though that person does it constantly (and, again, I was called a Fascist by them before, so maybe check their older posts).

There are several pages of mess here, and honestly, there's so much to cover that I don't even know where to begin. And that’s just the recent stuff. I have to approach it this way, but I think you'll quickly realize exactly what I'm talking about...

I've been thinking about starting a dedicated thread about all of this for a while now. I wasn't that interested before, but now it has truly become impossible to post or share an opinion on that thread, which is incredibly frustrating as an American.

Thanks in advance, and I'm just asking you to please look at the thread—specifically the systematic shutting down of certain topics regardless of the arguments presented, almost as if the original poster is just delivering a monologue to the forum—and review the strikes issued...

Richard Wilson4 said:Americans should probably give those losers a solid slap to keep them from talking so much trash...

I'm with you on that... You never get anything decisive out of Europe; it’s just endless negotiations until a cowboy finally steps up and slams his fist on the table...

It’s the same story here... When you're dealing with dirty players (like terrorists), you have to play dirty, the American way. Sure, some innocent people might face some tough consequences, but that’s nothing compared to the devastation caused by a suicide bomber...

I could really use some advice here... The specific Whey I was looking for isn't in stock, but they do have this Gold Standard by Optimum Nutrition in a 2.2kg tub. They also have Ultra Whey Pro, which is slightly cheaper—though honestly, the price difference is pretty negligible—and it comes in a larger 3kg tub. 🤷

I mostly just lift for fun and fitness, and I've realized that using this as part of my diet actually works out great... So, which of these two should I go with? 🤷
Best protein powders for muscle gain? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
Man, I’m looking to pick up some protein too 😁

I've decided I'm going to grab some tomorrow or the day after, so what do you guys think about the "NOW Foods" Whey protein Isolate I was recommended? I really want something pure without any extra additives. 🤷 I don't know much about this stuff, so...

Also, I'm planning on taking it just after my workouts. I weigh about 220 lbs and I'm on the shorter side. And can I swap out table sugar for something like a banana or maybe have it with coffee? 😁

In MY PERSONAL OPINION, the time for BiH to exist as a state has passed. Ottawa went downhill a long time ago!
