I’m pretty sure that was just a rhetorical question. 😁

Man, I mean, how on earth is some McLaren driver going to pull off a win again? 😁 Honestly, I can't even tell who's being the bigger idiot this season—the folks over at Red Bull or the crew at Ferrari. 😬

It’s actually kind of refreshing because everyone else is out there doing the same exact thing, but they’re all doing it behind closed doors like total cowards. 👍

To hell with their "fuel efficiency" excuses and whatever other corporate nonsense they're using to hide it. 😬

They aren't being lazy or anything, they just finished giving poor Felipe a little pep talk, baby. 🙏 🤣

Elizabeth Hughes said:Barrichello always acted like he’d been cheated, whether he actually was or not—not that it's my business, but I don't recall him making public scenes quite like the two guys we see today.

To be clear, I’m not questioning team orders. What’s questionable is the sheer stupidity of how the Ferrari duo behaved once the race was over. 🙄

Honestly, watching them is pure entertainment for me. 😍 😁 And here I am, actually rooting for them. 😬

Man, they’ve spent the entire season acting like absolute idiots out on the track, so it’s kind of a nice change of pace to see them save all that stupidity for the post-race cooldown. 😬

Elizabeth Hughes said:It’s all just too transparent. It’s all just one big violation after another. Rules are rules. But I guess when you decide to ignore them, you just start making up whatever convenient little fairy tales suit your narrative. It’s a joke. You end up with a No2 driver acting like a glorified errand boy, dodging every real question thrown his way and playing the part of some offended socialite at a press conference.

To be honest, rule-breaking like this has been going on for a long, long time... you could see it most clearly back during the Schumacher era at Ferrari. But even then, we weren't dealing with these kinds of moronic, theatrical displays like the Alonso-Massa stunt they pulled at today's press conference. 🙄

Why wouldn't they? 😁 If they actually had any brains, they’d exploit this for all it's worth because drama like this is pure gold for publicity. 😁

Let's be real here, rule-breaking like this has been happening for ages... it was most glaringly obvious back during the Schumacher era at Ferrari. Except back then, we didn't have these ridiculous little theatrical performances, like the Alonso-Massa situation, playing out in front of the cameras. 🙄

Not happening? Are you kidding me? What about Schumacher basically dragging a clearly pissed-off Barrichell up to the top step of the podium, when you could tell the guy would've much rather decked him with his helmet? 😂

That was a lifetime ago; Alonso hasn't quite mastered his knack for being a walking jinx yet. 🤣

So, what does that actually mean? Well, I suppose there is more to come...

It feels a lot like what happened back in 2002, though the fine isn't quite as heavy this time. We'll just have to wait and see how the World motorsport Council decides to rule...

What a joke. 👎

So, let me get this straight—none of you actually have an issue with team orders as a concept, right? It’s just that you can’t handle seeing it happen live in front of your ultra-sensitive eyes, and frankly, you lack the backbone to deal with it. 🤣

Good grief, I had no idea there were so many fans living in Potemkinov's fake villages. 🙏

They could have handled the release a bit more subtly—not that it matters much. If I were running the team, I’d probably do the exact same thing—tell Mass to let his teammate through if he actually has a shot at the title.
As for the rest of you complaining, I'm curious—how would you handle things if you were actually in charge?

Honestly, there’s a decent chance they were just taking the piss out of the other teams and having a laugh at the rules. 😁

"Fernando is fast... confirm receipt of message" 🙏 🙏 Man, give me a break. 🤣 It doesn't get any more blunt than that, really. 😂

Damn, being a fan is everything. You seriously can't see past your own nose, can you?☕

Honestly, the only fans who can't see past their own noses are the total crybabies whining about this. ☕

Look, the rest of us actually understand how things work in the real world. 😉

It looks like Ferrari finally tracked down the brain they misplaced a few seasons back. 👍

We’re cruising toward the finish line just like this—routine as hell—and if we play our cards right, that title is still within reach. 👍

Fernando Alonso 👍
The ultimate team player, Felipe baby 👍

Sebastian Vettel 🙂 😛

After that total disaster at Turn 1, combined with about two or three brain-dead calls regarding pit stops and then having the safety car roll out, I’m pretty much calling it now: we’re looking at a win for either Button or Barrichello. 😁

In some completely different parallel universe, maybe it would finally be time for Alonso to grab a trophy, but let's be real—not in this reality and definitely not this year. 😬
Way to go, organizer. Seriously. 🙏

I mean, whose brilliant idea was it to schedule this right after In Flames and Opeth? 🙄

Look, I’ve put my thoughts out there, but let’s keep this civil—give me actual arguments instead of just throwing insults or cheap shots my way. 🙂 That absolute joke of a post over there is a perfect example of how communication shouldn't work in a civilized society.

Kate Castillo55 said:I've got two questions: first, when do we actually get hit with yellow cards, red cards, or points—you know, all that stuff that shows up under the "infractions" section of our profiles once they expire? And second, why do old ones stay on the list (like, I’ve got stuff from way back in 2009) if they’re supposed to have expired?

It's basically there so anyone can check out someone's track record and see how they've behaved in the past. 😈

And another thing: if, say, our inbox is totally maxed out (between received and sent messages, hitting that 75-message cap), and then we suddenly get slapped with points or a card, is it even possible to actually receive that 76th message containing the explanation for the penalty?
thanks 😁

Honestly, I haven't a clue. I just know that sometimes when moderators are sending PMs to one another, those limits seem to fly right out the window—I remember one time I was sitting at 11 messages over my limit and the mods were breathing down my neck about spamming while I was trying to sleep 😁—but as for regular users, I have no idea if the system works the same way. 🤔

This could have been a perfectly entertaining, low-stakes trash thread if we didn't have these relentless optimists constantly trying to seriously and systematically define the exact criteria for becoming a moderator. 🤣

Nah, they don't exist. 😁

Honestly, if you're asking "how do I become a moderator," the only real answer is to spend years studying chaos theory. 😬

steelskipper5 said:Honestly, plenty of mods just give up on it.
It’s not exactly a thankless job—well, actually, it's incredibly thankless, and the pay? Non-existent.

Personally, I think being a regular user is way better than being a mod.
As a mod, you're supposed to be this objective pillar of truth—you have to slog through threads you couldn't care less about just to make sure nobody's causing chaos, all while maintaining this perfect, saintly behavior...
As a regular user? You don't have to deal with any of that. Sure, you might get banned here and there if you push things too far, but it's usually just a couple of days before you're back to your old tricks. Plus, you can just flirt with the relatives of whoever banned you. Or maybe just hang out with Mexicans if that's more your speed.

Power is intoxicating. At least, that's how it looks to everyone at the bottom of the ladder.
But once you realize there's always someone above you—once you're getting squeezed from both sides—it stops looking like such a sweet gig[1].

[1] Well, maybe for you since you're a woman, I don't know.

Yeah, sure, in some kind of theoretical utopia. 😁 Not on Reddit. 😛

Hmm... makes me wonder if this is a total callback to the United States race back in '97, you know, when Jacques Villeneuve basically sprinted for the bathroom the second the checkered flag waved? 🤔 😁 Honestly, if they had just run one more lap, we probably wouldn't have seen that chaos at all. 😁
