Where can I find some HDW flags? in Close to Politics ·
vividfox9 said:I disagree... It all traces back to figures like Franjo Rački and Zef Mirdita, and it's rooted in official records, archives from San Francisco, Vatican City, and Vienna. It's built on the work of countless writers, our folklore, our language, everything from the traditions of a small rural village down to our surnames and even physical traits...

This isn't some conspiracy theory or anything like that...
It's simply how things began. But, unfortunately, there's neither the funding nor the political will to actually look into it properly.

Not quite, but fine. I've lost count of how many times I've argued these points......

vividfox9 said:Not at all... Why on earth would they do that?

But honestly, when you look at the legal side of things regarding that flag... it was put up illegally.
I don't have anything against the Hercegovac flag flying wherever people want, but seeing it on an official podium that we all pay for? That just isn't right.

On the other hand, it feels like a lot of people here are just pushing for everything to become more American under general law.
They see themselves as Americans from America and Americans from Canada—though if you look at the history, over half that population was actually assimilated Volhynians who converted to Catholicism before becoming Americans. Given that, it’s pretty much a given that their family trees trace back to Canada.
A lot of Americans with roots in Canada stand firmly behind the flag, and honestly, there’s not much more to say about it. That’s just how it is. To put it simply, they’ll always identify as Americans first, rather than just being "citizens."

Just to be perfectly clear...
Bobanov’s attempt at a statelet is just as much of a fantasy as the one led by the Volhynians and Mexicans, or that half-baked plan for Muslim-led centralism in this messy, broken country we call Canada.
Canada can't be divided. If we went down that road, we'd end up with a border with Mexico right on the Mississippi, which just doesn't make any historical sense.

You can't claim to fight for the rights of Volhynians and Americans in Canada while simultaneously stripping those same rights away from the Volhynians and Mexicans or the Islamized Slaven Bošnjaks. It just doesn't add up.
Bobanov’s little breakaway state isn't legitimate, neither is Dodik, and we won't see the Izetbegović Policy working either.

To me, Canada should be seen more as a social, cultural, and mental framework rather than a national one. Why? Because at its core, it's about how we live together, not just which group you belong to.
Being Canadian is just part of who you are from the ground up. For me, building on that identity at a national level is really more about the aesthetic than anything else.
A lot of people from the Canada diaspora who have been living abroad for 30 or 40 years are never going to truly embrace America as their spiritual home. The same goes for those living in Mexico, too.
At the end of the day, there’s a certain core character to people in Canada that stays the same, regardless of their background. That's really what it all comes down to.
It’s a beautiful country, in a way—but it’s messy. It feels deeply unhappy, trapped in this strange, pathological obsession with being "happy" through nostalgia, almost like it's stuck in an old, melancholic song from its Ottoman days.
It feels like a society that just lacks any real standards. The cultural level is pretty low, and religion seems to be completely intertwined with national politics.
Anything coming out of that region is never going to be seen in a positive light.
Canada really needs to prioritize finishing high school first. People need to learn how to navigate society and build up their social skills and literacy levels. Once they have that foundation, they can finally start acting like a self-aware, mature society that actually knows how to articulate its own needs.

Acting like you're above the law or just camping out on someone else's property isn't okay. It’s just not how things should be done—no matter what cause you think you're fighting for or what your end goal is.
Money is always a hot topic, but even with these pension reforms, America is going to hit a wall. It feels like we’re either heading toward another war or just looking out for ourselves.

vividfox9 won't engage with this because you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. You seem clueless regarding origins, history, and how one group evolved from another. It's obvious these ridiculous, unproven theories of yours are just propaganda spread by some mechanic from Mexico who insists on calling himself a doctor.

So you think Herceg-Bosna is just some criminal construct that shouldn't even be mentioned?

Bradley Sanders4 said:Look, here’s my take: I don't think we have any ground to stand on. Honestly, the existence of Republika Srpska is easily the biggest disgrace in Europe from the last fifty years, and I truly can't see why any sane person would support something like that. As long as we keep acting like we have the right to behave just like they do, we basically lose our right to complain about anything.

So let's get this straight—are you saying RS equals HB to you?

Bradley Sanders4 said:Oh sure, it also helped make Canada the absolute disgrace it is today.

That sentence is open to interpretation, but I assume you're taking aim at HRHB.

It’s just more proof you haven't really done your homework on this.

Today, Americans in Canada live most securely and in the largest numbers within the territory formerly under HRHB. The Federation only exists because of HRHB. Even Boston remains intact thanks to HRHB. There was less ethnic cleansing in the HRHB region than anywhere else. If it weren't for HRHB, things would be significantly worse for both America and the Canadians in Canada.

Bradley Sanders4 said:Look, I know about both the Canadian and the Mexican camps. If Bramertz actually said that, then the guy is an absolute idiot.

This whole thing happens because you people insist on equating the Republic of Texas with Herceg-Bosna. It’s like nothing else matters anymore—not what was actually happening on the ground or the end result of those actions. Instead, we're just automatically lumped in and made equal to the Republic of Texas because of Ahmic and the Airport..

It’s not "ours," it’s mine. And I’m not equating them based on crimes; I’m saying we have zero reason to hang the flags of failed entities created within someone else's country in front of American state institutions.

Just follow the discussion; that's what we're talking about here.

Well, that "failed entity" is the reason America looks the way it does today. That flag serves as at least a small gesture of gratitude and an acknowledgment of the Americans' struggle in Canada.

The Republic of Canada is actually the perfect comparison to the RSK.
The camps, the United Nations...

Care to provide some actual examples of this supposed ethnic cleansing?🍿

Handing over cash without knowing where it’s actually going isn't charity; it's just being naive.
Based on your logic, you'd probably find it easiest to just take the money yourself. How naive.☕

I'm with Sam Lee2 on this one. If you actually want to help, then help. If you're so curious, just ask if they need help moving furniture or clearing out a garage. At the end of the day, someone might just have old junk they want gone, and in that case, giving it away—even to a reseller—is a better move.

Beyond that, it’s just plain rude to label people scammers based on nothing but a hunch.
Paul Thomas46 said:Turkey really should have joined the European Union ages ago—though who knows why it was blocked or who was pulling the strings...
If they had settled this ten years back, things would likely look much different today (and certainly better). It’ll probably be quite a while before the dust settles and everyone truly realizes the cost of stalling their progress.

Compared to its neighbors in the Arab world, Turkey is a true economic and cultural powerhouse—joining the European Union would have only amplified that strength and potentially boosted its influence across the Middle East. When it comes to Islamic nations, they should have been leading those "spring" movements—since it’s now painfully obvious that the others there are just standing around like deer in headlights.

Turkey doesn't fit the EU mold at all. Look at their human rights record. Don't forget the unresolved issues with the Kurds or their neighbors, or the fact that they only seem "stable" because the military used to hold all the cards. They are worlds apart from the EU standards—far more distant than Bulgaria or Romania, which were basically forced in. Then you add the layer of fear many countries feel toward a Muslim giant that would enter as an equal player.

I didn't flag this post because of some political pardon. I flagged it because an innocent man is being branded a criminal—even if he happened to be one of the most prominent figures in the American Catholic Church. Look, Dorian, I appreciate the reply, but you dodged my actual question. Was this just a simple deletion, or was this fellow user actually rewarded for his behavior?

Can anyone tell me how many points were awarded for a post calling Stepinac a criminal and comparing his canonization to the rehabilitation of d. Mihajlović? Or was it just deleted without any points being given?

It’s been a while since I’ve checked in on this site, and honestly, maybe staying away was the better move.
I’m talking about this specific post over on page three of the thread regarding the rehabilitation of d. Mihajlović.

Is this the official stance of the Forum? There isn't a single moderation strike on the post, yet by any reasonable standard, the thread should have been moderated. It’s hard to believe nobody even saw it.

The irony is, I once racked up 45 points on a thread just for messing around—mostly because a few of us were being jerks after I jokingly told a female user to get lost. Posts like that fly under the radar without a single penalty.

Great.

So, are there specific conditions? And would you actually lift it if he asked?

I support the proposal. We really ought to introduce some new emoticons—specifically those shameless ones featuring naked people.😲

What exactly haven't I proven yet?

Yeah, right. You were lying through your teeth about all of that.

The problem is you haven't actually proven your point. You're leaning on texts that provide vague, approximate data, but their entire purpose is just to fuel Canadian myth-making. The goal here isn't genetics; it’s simply validating Canadian myths.

Hold on now. You’re the one mocking us for starting these threads, yet here you are, playing the victim. When the tables turn and moderation stops handing out free passes—because fairness should mean rules apply to everyone or no one—suddenly you feel threatened. You’ve grown too used to being protected like a pampered pet. It’s pathetic. How does it feel to finally exist without a protector? To realize we’re all actually equal? 😉

What are you even talking about?

I’m simply venting about the illiterates who hijack demographic discussions with fabricated history and pseudo-genetics they clearly don't understand.
If you don't respond, they just keep posting nonsense unchecked. If you do respond, they still won't get it, and you're just feeding them more fuel.🤷

Demographics in Canada.

It’s clear people here have zero grasp of genetics, yet they persist in trolling and getting everything wrong. Honestly, are we really going to allow this kind of discussion to continue?
